2013 - The LAN Diary
2013-01-01 09:53
So I usually do this on the MOD forums for some of our guys who may want to attend LANs in their area, or follow the LAN scene currently. I have built my usual "LAN Diary" for 2013, by seeing what is out there, what has been confirmed, what is around etc etc.

This is mostly for Counter Strike Global Offensive, and I ask people if they do know of any other LANs that are taking place accross the World they post in this thread with a website link.

Please Note: I have not included the ESEA $50,000 LAN currently, as there are no set dates I know of for the LAN. I also have not included XLParty as they haven't publicised the dates either.

If anyone does know of any other local LANs in your area, or any other major lans I have missed off the calendar then can you please let me know as I have only managed to grab what I know of that will host CS:GO Tournaments.

If you have nothing good to say just don't say it?

eh?

All this is, is a LAN diary of the events that have already been confirmed for 2013.

This isn't a bash thread or anything, so can we please leave that out of here?
2013-01-01 10:57:48
ye , im just saying you are helping the teams yourself instead of letting them work their asses off if they want some tourneys , gj fanboy

same stuff goes for the csgo maps , where the community helps in remaking them "playable" like they should be because valve made them shit.

this game lives from its supporters because valve made a big mistake from the start.
2013-01-01 11:00:42
Yeah sorry, perhaps I should stop making these threads which raise awareness of LANs people didn't realise were on going, or perhaps I should let CS:GO die.... like I have much of an impact in the scene.

The greatest strength that both 1.6 and Source had was the "community", Valve know this, hence why they always left the maps to the community, Valve didn't really make them "shit", just their concept of what is competitive and what isn't is slightly different to the norm, most players have accepted this change.

People like you stagnate eSports and games in general, you know the people who look out for themselves and themselves only.

Perhaps you should do less bashing, and be more pragmatic in your approach to the game you want to play which I guess is 1.6 or CSP, and perhaps help the community get some events of their own?

Oh and on the subject of Valve, at least Valve listen to all specturms of the community, unlike various other developers out there *looks at Activision*.
2013-01-01 11:06:44
no clue what he is talking about but these kinds of blogs are great as the allow more teams potentially attending these lans

2013-01-01 18:38:40
Yea, 1.6 was supported by its developers, sure.

I hope you won't bring CSP into thread, because there is "tournament" word which CSP never had.
2013-01-01 12:20:40
You are a complete mong. Shut the fuck up. Go make a LAN diary for CSP....oh wait

So is Norway, but shit, it's not THAT expensive :D
2013-01-01 14:44:17
haha, we also have extra penalties in terms of "Health And Safety" which means additional costs to certain events....

But yes, quite expensive.
2013-01-01 15:13:54
when i saw 50 For Gamers assembly which is by far i think the best Lan-Event in france as a player and moviemaker. Its the most expensive one and i'm like wow a bit expensive but totally worth it but 120 for a uk lan ...
damn more than expensive .
And we are kind arguing for the upcoming lan GEEX because its 90 (wich we never saw something higher than 70 in france) specially for a byoc lan . After looking for dreamhack and Iseries entry fee woooow
2013-04-17 16:21:09
It's ridiculous.
2013-01-01 18:15:43
next time write dollars instead of euros in American tournament prize purse :)
2013-01-01 14:22:03

Nice.

No lans in Belgium .
What a surprise..
2013-01-01 23:20:44
Frag-O-Matic is a Belgium lan.
2013-01-01 23:43:29
The only lan in Belgium. Sadddd
2013-01-02 01:40:10
this is not the only LAN in belgium, just the others are small. ~200-300 players with small cashprize + hardware
2013-01-02 21:30:26
Like wich ones? Maybe in the other part of Belgium there is still something going on?

But the Flemish lans are either without prices, or have cs:GO as a funcompo or whatever.
2013-01-02 22:38:20
there was lanup 2months ago with 500eu cash + hardware in Charleroi
there is TheGames 15 in Mons (only hardware) in February, but same weekend as fom then it's not difficult to make a choice, and then lanforce in Orp-Jauche in march ( http://lanforce.be/index.php , 200 seat, CSGO with prize not announced yet + hardware).
last year there was nslan in Liege and playlan in Charleroi but they didnt make anything in 2012 so idk.
but all these organization made at least 1 event a year since few years so its not dead at all, but cashprize is only starting to appear now, not a bad thing.

Very nicely done, i will be heavily moderating this to make sure it stays clean. As overtime this will become a good source of information.

My guess would be a whole of UA/RU events to be added. Starladder/ASUS/Techlabs etc

Also, Asia seems very quite. Even with CS:O there is usually something in China/Korea (WEM/Estars/BEATIT style thing)

Also wondering when IEM will come out and play. Once that gets going you can add another 5 or so tourstop/events.
