On a similar topic, there's a great article in this week's Private Eye: "Eating and drinking can kill, says government."
I quote:
"A new official study has shown a startling correlation between the consumption of all forms of food and drink and the incidence of fatality in the population of the UK as a whole.
The study's remarkable finding is that almost all of the people who died in Britain last year did so after consuming food, drink or both.
A staggering 100 percent of all who died of heart attacks had, in the period leading up to their death, eaten or drunk at least one unit of a foodstuff or beverage."
