I am not playing it, but all I can see is that it gets more and more viewers every year. Last year people on DreamHack were like "zomg 100k people watching LoL, wtf!" and now 160k+ people is like standard for LoL. I am not saying that it will live longer than cs, but right now it is one of the reasons why cs gets unpopular. Example for it is WEM, where they removed cs 1.6 and added LoL in to their list.
lol=free game aswell
and every player in LOL gets a popup once a cast starts (creator has the casting rights themselves)
its extremely smart by the creators of the game, except that they don't milk the proverbial cow by having sponsors promote their stuff on their broadcasts for a certain wage, or minimal, from what I understood from friends who play lol
cs is dead - there's no future for this game. All the same old teams and faces. And it's said that CS isnt on next years IEM, there are less and less competitions every year +no1 updates this game(look at LOL - every week an update)
same old faces? three years ago nobody had a clue who fyrte was, now he is an international madfragger. pasha? unknown to the mass outside of poland until a few years ago, 2011 he was a top25 world player and this year he starts of with leading ESC to the gold as mvp. basic allu aslak, relatively new to the international scene. same goes for karrigan and friis, ninja and zonixx, pita and xizt, etc etc.
there are always old players going and new players coming, slowly but surely. and what would it even matter if it was same ol', same ol'
Stop complaining about viewver number omg its still same thing.
Everybody knows that 60k is basicly max what cs can achieve. (Yes and im saying that cos it would be incorrect - its is very unlikely that game will reach much higher number of viewver than number of people playin it)
LoL and SC2 are just at higher lvl. Just stop crying about that.
