Samsungs new 120hz monitors are way better than 2233RZ S23A700D - cheapest 23" 120hz WITH 3D glasses. But if you have more money S23A750D or S27A750D is awesome both on design and performance :P I'm currently using S27A750D Which is 27" and really just epic for watching 3D movies such as Avatar and performance in Gaming is in my opinion identical to the one you get from CRT. in some ways i'd say it's even better.
Yeah i can understand that. The advantage of S23A700D is that it's with Dual-DVI as older models were, instead of DisplayPort, which is still not so common on all Graphics card. the Display should be identical on all monitors as well so no extra performance gained by going 750 or 950 :P
You don't see a stupid sales trick when it's spitting you in the face, do you? of course the monitor isn't optimized any more to cs than it is for battlefield, or any other game for that matter. Ok it has 120hz but that's mainly a 3D function ;)
Yes i do know it's all about a marketing thing but i was talking about the scaling option which is great for cs.. You can choose from 17" to 23", like having a 17"monitor inside a 24". And this monitor is the best you can find for gaming atm in this price range and with this specs.
I have the Samsung SyncMaster SA700, and its basically the updated 2233rz. Its a tad bigger, and the response time is also slightly faster.
The disadvantage is that you have to buy a new DVI cable for it, because you can only play 120hz on 640x480 with 4:3 aspect ratio (blackbars on both sides). If you dont like that, you should buy a DVI cable.
