Hi guys, I'm going to Poland, to the city of Krakow in the summer with some friends to participate in a EU youth encounter so i would like to know some stuff about Poland :D

I live in Krakow so i'll tell you something about that city.

I'd say that people are nice and friendly, but they usually don't like foreigners who are drunk, so please when you will be drunk (and i'm sure you will) behave ;)

hmm what about places, we have awesome square with lots of pubs, and shops..

Food, it depends, on your taste, but usually tourist appreciate traditional polish food

Beer in shops (e.g Carlsberg) cost 3zl its around 1euro
in pubs it is usually around 6-7 zl so that is 1,5 euro

What can i say you about girls, hmm u will see :)

You must visit a place named CK Browar, it is situated a very next to the main square, they boil there their own beer, it's delicious, and you can also watch matches there, but reserve a table earlier, cause it's a very popular place ;)

Don't drink that multinatiol shit (e.g Carlsberg, Heineken and so on) but try Polish beers, I would recommend to you Kasztelan and Lomza, you won't stop drinking eheh :)

Polish girls are beautiful and from my expierience i Know that they (unfortunately) have crush on foreigners, if you know what i mean :D

Polish friend of mine, living in Germany, went on vacation for the first time to Poland with his family (he was about 7 years at that time, early 1990ies). The family had bought a BMW-Jeep especially for their first family trip to see relatives in Poland (dunno the brand, but it was new). First day there, car got stolen. We, as the malevolent children we were at that time, laughed our asses off, of course :D.

Anyways, I think that cars get stolen everywhere and I recently heard that the total of stolen cars in Poland has declined enourmously ever since.

Cracov is great choice. If you want to eat polish food you must try pierogi, bigos, one of polish soups or faworki, if you find it. You must visit Wawel tower where lived very important people like kings and writers. Wawel it's very important place for Poles (at least for me). People are nice, you'll easilly destinguish bad person from good person. Girls are great, they're talkative and so hot (most of them :D) like my girlfriend. Cracov is better than Warsaw for tourist so I think you will feel good there. Cracov it's over 1000 years old so it's really important town for polish people especially me (I'm historian). I wish you good stay in Poland.

beer costs about 6-10 zloty(1,5-2,5 euro), it depands where are you going to buy beer, in shops beer cost 2-4 zloty (0,5-1 euro). People are nice, but you can find people very unpolite and agresive - like everywhere... Krakow? hmmm there are many people whose are fans of theirs footballclubs such as Wisla Krakow and Cracovia Krakow and if you meet them in the street it would be diffrent - some guys are cool some are not... in my opinion it would be better to go to Warsow... but Krakow is good choice too... food? you must try and know what you like... girls are very hot - polish girls are ones of the hottest grils in Europe... you will see.. or if you are looking to fuck something during Euro finals the prizes will higher like everywhere when euro finals are..

Krakow might be the nicest but also most dangerous (in mine oppinion) big city to visit @ Poland. Football fans @ Krakow (its Wisla vs Cracovia fights all the time) are the only fans in Poland that are using knives to fight as common. Its a lot of dangerous actions with knives in that city, if you are foreign football fan then forget about it during visiting Krakow. Just be quiet and dont act cocky on 'night out' in here, otherwise its really nice place to visit.

I've visited Poland (Krakow) last summer... Guys, the city is just incredible. It's alike my city where I'm from (Lviv, Ukraine), it has the same architecture but bigger.
This summer I'm gonna visit Warsaw (only 2 days) but I'm will be traveling through during my vacation to Spain. And on my way home I'm gonna visit Krakow again ^_^.

Krakow is a really nice City - Tho I wouldn't walk around alone after dark if u know what I mean :P

When it comes to "what to see" it really depends on what you are looking for and what interests you.

I like culture and architecture so I really enjoyed the main square and the Maria cathedral and also Wawel + the old Jewish quarter.
The nightlife is also quite good but remember to behave and not get toooooo drunk.

The people in general are very friendly but you might have some problems with the language as the poles arn't the most fluent english speakers in Europe.

When it comes to the food I'd recommend you to at least taste it. Not everyone likes it but you never know, it's quite different.

Beer! Its just great, go for the polish brands and try out some local brew. Its cheap even tho Krakow is a bit pricier then smaller cities. Last time I was there (2010) a beer at the main square was 7PLN, about 1.5euro.

Girls are like everywhere. Even in a shithole you can find a diamond if the rough. The avg is OK but when u find a hot chick, she is HOT!
