Zowie EC-2 Hz Unstable
Hi there,

Since today i'm playing with EC-2 White, i must say its a very good mouse.
Only problem is that the hz is not rlly stable.. what i mean is :

125hz = 100-360hz~
500hz = 460-740hz~
1000hz = 880-1050hz~

i was noticing in-game that it was somehow affecting my recoil in a bad way for some reason.. so i decided to install HIDUSBF.inf (Most ppl use it for intelli 1.1/3.0) and now my hz is stable 499-500~ so i recommend this for al players who use this mouse cause its rlly usefull, thnxs

Yeah, their system does not work so well, doing it manually is better, but it's boring with windows 7.

I own an EC2 black, and it's normally set to 500hz. I noticed also that the HZ is not stable.
So I installed HIDUSBF.inf, by using the SETUP.exe (downloaded from here : http://www.funender.com/quake/mouse/index.html#pol.. ), and unlike you, my HZ was still unstable, and moved between 3-510hz.
I uninstalled it, but what should I do ?

You have to do exactly the same as shown in this tutorial : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_hZipKt72M

yea zowie hz is not good.... better set mouse to 500 hz and use mouserate to stabilize it.....

I'm using Windows 7 32bit and I used same HIDUSBF as in XP and it worked.

Stable 500 Hz now.

500hz = 460-740hz~

With all mice we should use hidusbf becasue it's the best option for precision.

G400 gives stable 500 Hz from drivers so it's not in every mouse I guess

BUY ZOWIE AM
2012-05-14 21:00:38
its exactly the same sensor lol
2013-05-23 00:02:33
actually not, evo versions have avago 3090 that is similar with am, yet just ec series have avago 3060

this deserves a bump, finally fixed my problem after 2 years, mine averaged around 430hz while showing lower numbers... really awful, made me play terrible and still do to this day.

So i was forced to play on 1000 which i never really liked. Now it goes up 480-500 which is great! can really notice the difference.

I've actually tried this method 2 years ago but I either did it wrong or it didn't go through, way too late for me :( right when I ordered 2 new mice a week ago....

2013-05-22 21:04:42

2013-05-22 21:07:08
i have windows 7 and i ordered zowie ec2 evo yesterday, does hidusbf work with windows7, if it's not what should I do? :/

I don't have this problem with eVo...it stays solid at 1000hz all the time.

what is the difference between 500 hz and 1000 hz? some1 explain please..
2013-05-23 00:54:32
1000 = 1ms response
500 = 2ms
125 = 8ms
2013-05-23 01:22:58
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AkghP..

according to this, many pleayers use 500hz, why is it better?
2013-05-23 01:49:28
500hz are much easier to handle for proccie and therefore are more much more stable.. well it suppose to
2013-05-23 03:18:30
So after hearing so many great things about these Zowie mice, I find out they cannot hold stable hz? What a joke lol.
2013-05-23 06:19:48
I've got the problem after a year also
