Im following scene since streaming came popular, i regret that i didnt follow scene for about 5-6 years when all the old legends and teams still were active. shame on me :(

Some of the most epic games I've seen is 10+ years old. Old league- and CPL matches with teams such as SK, Team 9, mTw.ger, X3, 3D, [a]postrophe, [SoA].dk, |SoA|.se, NiP, aAa, eoLithic, mouz, Team NoA, EYE, Lunatic Hai, coL. Just to name a few. :) Some incredible matches with amazing atmosphere, back when CS was fairly new and very exiting, and you would see alot of NEW awesome ideas and tactics in almost every big tournament, such as towers, boosts, jumps etc etc. I'm SOglad i havent missed out on it. CS was EPIC back then and even more wonderful than it is today(IMO).

Sure it was fun to watch CS develop, but would I want to see that kind of gameplay today? Hell no, the game is mature now and I wouldn't have it any other way.
There's no way that I would switch Na'Vi's gameplay or SK's aim for the CS of 200x.

2010/2011 top teams: SK, ESC, lions, navi, fnatic, mtw, mouse, winfakt

2012 top teams: sk, esc, lions(leemondogs), navi, fnatic, wikipediots(eSrael), maybe anexis.

some teams stoped, but anothers teams will replace ^^

This has happened lots of times before, teams disband, new teams arise.

Look at Wikipediots and how quickly they got decent results, if mTw was still around we might never had the chance to see coloN playing like that.

CS is still by far the best FPS eSport and it will be until something replaces it.

US teams not travel anymore
Korean, UK, Norway, French and Spanish scenes are almost dead
On the one hand it's normal that the game not interest sponsors as usual. The CS international competition is decreasing. On the other hand that doesn't mean CS is dying. Lot of people currently play the game.
