2012-06-02 11:56:09
I'd like Nole to win, but it will be likely easy for Nadal.
2012-05-31 19:10:27
Men

Nadal big favourite :D

i would like to see Federer vs Nadal in grand final :-)

2012-05-31 19:12:45
no fun federer always loses no competition for nadal, djokovic better
2012-05-31 19:15:50
how did federer reach #2 always losing?
2012-05-31 19:18:45
what dude not win slam for 2 year

he did wozniacki
2012-05-31 19:21:39
You do know there are other tournaments besides the 4 grand slams right?!
Federer was on a major streak since last september.
For winning a grand slam you get 1500 Atp ranking points.
For winning a masters tournament you get 1000 ranking points.
Since November last year he won:
Paris Master - 1000 points
Barclays open - 1000 points
Rotterdam - 500 points
Dubai - 500 points
Indian Wells - 1000 points
Real Madrid - 1000 points

On top of that he also made it to a few semi finals in Rome and Miami for instance (both masters too).

I hope this sums up your question about him surpassing Nadal.

P.S. Nadal is nr 2 again after his victory in Rome.
2012-05-31 19:27:53
i do know, and follow tennis. watched indian wells, madrid, rome, and every match i can. also i'm aware of his position.

i just said that replying to his stupid statement

"no fun federer always loses"

if only he said "federed always loses grand slams" i wouldn't even reply.
2012-05-31 19:36:41
Aye sorry Sir, didn't see you were commenting on somebody else and that it was a rhetorical question :P
2012-06-01 12:39:29
I really hope to see a Federer vs Nadal
2012-05-31 19:20:56
Im rooting for Djokovic to win the final vs Nadal.
I also think Berdych will cause an upset by reaching the semis.
Murray isnt in the shape he normally is in, hes always whining about his back injury like a little baby.
Semi-finals:
Nadal vs Federer
Djokovic vs Berdych
Finals:
Nadal vs Djokovic
Nadal to win :(
2012-05-31 19:30:12
no draw not like this

semi
djokovic vs federer
nadal vs murray

berdych meets federer in qf
2012-05-31 19:35:37
Ye I just noticed the draw which berdych is in. It's a shame though even I dislike berdych I don't hate him as much as the whiny bitch ass murray :D. But I think he will take at least 2 sets from Roger.
2012-06-01 12:38:44
hope for djokovic, but i think nadal will take this ;)
2012-05-31 19:31:58
Rafael Nadal :)
2012-05-31 19:36:24
or Federer don't you think Defragggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg?
2012-05-31 19:43:25
i think nadal is better than federer
2012-05-31 22:25:53
mm I agree but they provide us with a great final if they succeed in making it into the final

2012-05-31 21:07:48
nadal is a great gravel player
2012-05-31 21:08:48
You don't say.
2012-05-31 22:12:49
He pretty much always reaches the final in other surfaces then clay aswell, but ofc in French Open he won 6 titles out of 7 attempts. So he only lost one game in that tournament since 2005 and it was vs Soderling who also beat Federer year after.

When rafa lost vs Soderling that match 2009 he had both mental or more emotional problems since he took it very hard when his parents splitted and also physichal problems as he was knee injured.

Soderling was also a great player before he got that virus hes been suffering from, but if Nadal would have been more fit that year he would have won also 2009 for like 95%-99% i think.
2012-05-31 21:20:53
This is bollocks, u might want to have a look at the highlights, Nadal played amazing like he always does on clay. It's just that Soderling played the match of his life, he hit so many winners, everything went right. It had absolutely nothing to do with nadal being ''injured'' because he did run to every ball like it was his last, and the mental one is also bollocks because Nadal is probably the toughest nut to crack.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7RSUy5V5QM
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&..

P.S. I hate the assfiddling monkey :P
2012-06-01 12:42:53
The mental part was a factor, he took the divorce of his parents really really hard and emotional, he also he suffered from knee injury but ofc Soderling played real great tennis, none mentioned the opposite but a normaly fit rafa would also win 2009 to at least 95%.

But there're lots of "buts" and "if" in this game on highest toplevel, im stating my opinion, what i think IF the circumstances would have been more close to rafas normal standards.

You could see how he cried 2010 when he won at RG again, so emotional like no other title - he just burst into tears like a baby. And he came back strong again.

Rafael also closed his season after that loss vs Soderling 2009, he clearly wasnt where he whanted himself to be to play rest of season, not mentally and nor physical.
2012-06-02 02:53:27
But for sure the competition is way harder now with Djokovic stepping up his game to another levels, not least his mental part.

As a result of that many belive the clay player Nadal 2012 would have beat the clay player Nadal 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 cuz his more or less been kinda forced to improve along with Djokovic taking it to another level.

Nadal cant lock down Djokovic backhand like he can with Federer and Djokovic along with his coach obviously study Nadal very very hard and found the key tacticts to beat him.

But for now on clay Nadal is favourite, but its just slight since djoker won last 3 Open finals vs rafa.
...and i think Djokovic is equally great on all surfaces, so.. guess it will be sick tight if they meet in the finals on the other hand Djokovic needs to beat Federer in a semi-final but i think he will take that revenge on him since last years Roland Garros.

Djokovic obviously wanna make history with claiming his 4:th open victory in a row and Nadal also as he obviously doesnt wanna be dethroned in Paris to break the records with claiming his 7:th Roland Garros title.

This will be a thrilling and prestigous championship for sure.
2012-05-31 21:52:17
Novak lost the last to finals on clay in monte carlo and rome to rafa. So i think rafa gonna take this one aswell.
2012-05-31 22:39:41
R.Nadal!
2012-05-31 21:55:13
I cheer for Nadal and Del Potro :)
2012-05-31 22:11:52
+1 Delpo
2012-05-31 22:21:52
Juan good player still far from level of end of 2009
2012-05-31 22:23:07
DEL POTRO!!! gogo juan
2012-06-02 19:51:52
Im rooting for Rafa aswell.

Ofc those two victories over Djokovic in Monte Carlo and Rome putting him in a top1 favourship, not least very crucial on a psychological level. But it was best of 3, in best of 5 Novak won those last 3 matchups between them and last year Novak beat Rafael on clay in Rome(and Madrid or it was Barcelona or Monte Carlo, one of them also) so.

Djokovic is ranked nr1 you always have to respect that, but on the other hand, as we all know Nadal is after all the "king of clay". The way rafa plays he gaines the most optimum advantage on clay surface, obviously with higher bounces and a bit slower play so he can come around and hit the ball with his sickest deadly forehand topspinns more often to dictate the game and its pace.

If Djokovic can control the points more often with countering it with his tactical plan like he done before, then even on clay it will be rly tough nut to crack for rafa this time aswell, no doubt.

Still it was a very tight game in Rome, first could pretty much have gone either way, just like Aussie Open when rafa losing that sick 5 setter.. whatta clash.

As i said Rafael is favourite claiming his 7:th Roland Garros-title but just with slight margins, is what i feel.

Just lets hope rafa showing the world none can dethrone you on clay in a 5 setter-final. Not even Djokovic in his absolute prime.

Vamos Rafa!
2012-06-01 01:57:53
You are right,ya, Nadal is the "king of clay" but Nole has a stronger mentality,he is over Nadal in critical moments, like was at Australian Open
2012-06-01 12:32:37
Don't get me wrong, because I am a huge djoko fan, but your comment is everything but true. Nole has one of the weakest mentalities on the tour, whenever the croud is against him you can clearly tell and he just plays like he doesn't give a crap anymore. May I remind you of the US open semi final last year vs Roger when Roger had 2 match points and he just hit an all or nothing return because he couldnt give a shit. This isn't really the mentality that the best of the best should have, they shouldn't be influenced by anything and just stay on top of their game. Nadal is known to be a fighter. I remember this one match where he was down 5-0 and 0-40 against Andujar, and he still won the set with 7-5, this is what I call great fucking perserverance!
2012-06-01 12:48:09
i'm a huge federer fan and i still "crying" ( my soul) when i remember that game.. sad:(..:)).
2012-06-01 13:04:39
As a matter of fact Djokovic numero uno huge reason to his giant succes and reaching this peak of his career is his clearly improved mentality.

As for Austrailian Open i think it was Nadal missing the line just by an inch when he pretty mutch had the game in a little box that part of last set, that changed it all. Could gone either way, imo.

Latest meeting in Rome we could see Djokovic showing his frustration and weaker side while smashing that racket just infront of rafa after Nadal won that tight first set.
Second set Djokovic more or less didnt had the very right psychic he sure damn needs to have to challenge Nadal on a surface like clay.

And when Novak won these 3 Open finals in a row i dont think it was so much a question of rafa having weaker mentality than we normaly used to see. It was more about Novak stepping it up along with an inspiring "underdog"-task to challange a player like Nadal who more or less outforced an great("est") alltimer like Federer in so many huge finals. Novak came up with the right tools in both tacticwise, physical and as i mentioned before his mental part have changed soo much way back to 2010 and before.

But it was 2010 he started to build himself up and obviously to reach number one on world rank and win Opens in these times you have to study Nadal very hard, not only train strenght, eat the right food, sleep well and growing stronger in a psycholgical aspect approaching the game.

...and he succeeded but now its on clay, lets see how it goes, as i said it will probably be another sick and tight encounter in the finals.

And last mention, its a bit of a pity Nadal 2009 wasnt in his normal shape due to circumstances at that point, but on the other hand im glad for Federer he got that Roland Garros title 2009, a player like him its hard to disagree he doesnt deserve to win a big Roland Garros - title at least once, i think.

--------------------------------------

This year we also got the Olympic tennis tournament between Wimbledon and Us Open and as far as i know it will be at wimbledons tenniscourts (ofc on grass), exiting and thrilling tennis summer ahead for sure. :) ..
2012-06-02 00:49:37
Hope for Roger!
PS. French crowd is AWFUL!
2012-06-01 02:04:14
Del Potro!!!
2012-06-01 03:35:18
ahahahaha no matte, delpotro falls to berdych
2012-06-01 05:05:38
I don't think so. Del Potro seems to be in good shape.
2012-06-01 19:28:04
good shape? and knee? Berdych instead if 100%
2012-06-02 04:59:03
The fact that Berdych needed 5 sets versus Anderson is weird if he's in good shape.
2012-06-03 10:33:03
if that is true ... But Berdych won quietly in Miami were both in good condition ...
2012-06-03 11:15:19
It's clear that you like Berdych and me Del Potro so quite usesless discussion. Anyway Miami and Grand Slam like Roland Garros are two different things.
2012-06-03 12:02:30
A hard game :(
2012-06-03 13:35:15

2012-06-01 21:27:19
Kuznetsova will win this
2012-06-01 20:56:35
I hope.
2012-06-02 13:09:02
Rafa will take this time
2012-06-01 20:56:14
Lets be real Rafa is dominating here, but only Djokovic can beat him.
2012-06-01 21:30:12
Nadal got momentum now over Djokovic very tough for him
2012-06-01 21:46:34
No, it was only clay problem. In my opinion Major championships will belong to Djokovic including Rolland Garros because I really can't see Djokovic loosing to Nadal in BO5, unless Nadal plays extraordinary good like he played in Monte Carlo this year .
2012-06-02 10:23:36
momentum with Nadal he beat twice Djokovic in row djokovic to fight with federer very tough.
2012-06-02 10:43:20
I would like to see Novak winning, but it will be hard.
2012-06-02 01:06:12
I hoppe Delpotro.
final:

2012-06-02 02:56:20
+1 :)
2012-06-02 04:40:02
I'd love to see Novak win, but judging on the current form I think Nadal's better. Anyone who says Federer has a chance is just plain clueless...

And for the women, I think Sharapova has the best chances. Li Na's also playing good and there's Azarenka ofcourse, but we'll see.
2012-06-02 03:26:06
Vika Azarenka 4sho
2012-06-02 08:23:43
I'm rooting for Fedrer. If not him, Djokovic. Nadal's becoming better, but they do stand a chance. Lets see ;D
