what if he played a few years with accel already.
the only reason why there are 3 players on the top with accel is that there was a rumour build earlier that accel is not good. thats it. there are a lot of quake players with accel and we both know their aim is top notch
since ever i play with accel. i can control much more the crosshair. you just need to practice. when i remove mouse accel i can't control the crosshair, it's so strange. it's all about practice nothing more.
Accel has an impact on muscle memory..if you leave the game for ..say a week..you may not be able to quickly get used to the game again..it makes your play inconsistent tbh..i played with accel for 5 years..still after removing it..i feel much better..the only reason i dont play flash games like missionred or aim400 kg is that mouse sensi is a bit different ingame in comparison to windows..so it damages mm..
Not really. Most of the pros have 640x480 and large crosshair, but everyone has different opinions and some kind of style. I use 640x480 with large crosshair. I think 640x480 is the best because of „in-game feeling“ with this resolution. Large crosshair is good for full-autos and so for aiming. Small is really good for aiming but full-autos with it kinda suck. But it is my opinion.
This is completely matter of preference. I've started on 800x600 medium, like 6-7 years back. When I started trying to become better I switched to 640x480, large as my friend advised. I didn't feel that comfortable with it, so I switched to small. Then I've experienced some hardware probs, so I switched to 8x6 (again) + small and started using dynamic cross. I feel very comfy now.
This is the way. Try some combinations and you will see what exactly do you like.
+1 for demos. Demos help a lot. A lot more than just playing pcw.
The matches (pcw, pracc, cups, etc) helps a lot too, but you don't really learn so much from them as you do from pros' pov demos. Also watching your own demos from matches is very good. You see the mistakes you made and then you fix them or do them different way.
I don't recommend csdm that much. I had times when I played it like no tomorrow and noticed that it doesn't help a shit. You don't learn to shoot by playing csdm since the situations in matches are totally different. If you overplay csdm it will only affect negatively to your gameplay. Just play it enough to keep your aim in shape.
