Because it differs from cs 1.6. People are afraid of changes and they can be pretty stubborn. I personally have nothing against that game, but I really like 1.6 more. Movement, the way of shooting is amazing and you can easily get use to it. So simple, but so great. I think that cs:go will have some changes.

I've played it for 3.5 hours and I actully think it's pretty fun:)

because we don't want a random game replace cs 1.6, cs:go don't have nothing of 1.6, movements, recoil, bangs, and a lot of things, guy can stop your rush with a molotov and you can buy only 1 flash :(
the game is great, i'm not saying it's a bad game, but, in compaction of 1.6, it's bad , not the same counter-strike

Because people want the game to be exactly like 1.6 so they wont have to learn anything new or change the way they play.
I personally like GO, but it still needs some changes.

cuz the game is closer to css , thats the real problem..nothing more , pro players and competitive players , will be like bots for css players.. they will have huge advantage , and the maps are formated in css mode , unlike promod maps are formated like 1.6 - so u can keep ur skill on promod but not in cs:go

I'm not against it , it's very good and funny game, not like 1.6 but it can be very interesting, and most of haters didn't even played it...

i tried the game and I prefer playing mw3 to that shit even promod is much better

people hate it because they don't want to adapt to a new game, most of the haters never played it.

csgo only needs some changes.

CS:GO isn't different game. It's the exactly same CS but worse. You can't say 'That's different'.

I tried CS:GO and to tell you the truth since i am a cs 1.6 player/gamer i can't stop comparing the two titles since CS:GO is in the end a COUNTER-STRIKE Title too.
First of all the recoil is random. Valve aimed at making the game noob friendly but new players will have problem with this random recoil of CS:GO. The movement feels similar to source or way too similar. I hate the maps nuke's squeaky/noisy can't open with nades or flashes. One has to press "E" to open doors which is sad and the underground entrance of nuke is removed :/ and train feels like a map with big steel crates no ladder and all. I could write a whole book about this disappointing title. Since it's still in BETA i would wait for the full release till then i don't think anyone would like this game specially good 1.6 players wouldn't.

1.6 all things in one place the game is perfect,but cs:go yep the movement is so shity but it`s beta who knows maybe they gonna fix that,i will gonna buy cs:go maybe the game gonna replace 1.6 who know`s

same, I like it alot. really funny, there are a few things like the recoil, I don't care if they make it like 1.6, just make it non-random so you know how to control it and the AWP zoom get blurry, It's realistic but realistic isnt the CS way but yea, still in the beta. I got my hopes up for this game

il say its normal to compared to 1.6 and source since its the next game in line, but at this point the game compared or not to cs 1.6 or source is more to fail, looking that they aim to replace 1.6 in major tournaments whit cs:go (valve is not sponsors). Yes the game is fun to play that is the same i felt when i played source first time, really fun game to play but for fun not competitive. So in the end we have like 2 more months to see what they can come up whit.

Because majority of 1.6 players are stubborn and are too afraid to try a new game because of the time they invested in CS1.6 to learn recoil,movements,tricks etc. And i guess 50% of these haters are just blabbering ahit because there PC can't handle high FPS games.

Game is in beta and valve already said that they'll improve its gameplay, so just hold your bubble and chill. If you want to see FPS game in tournaments then support CS:GO and make it big. Else gtfo.

Guys seriously, I was so afraid of cs;go i though it's shitty game etc but when I installed it and played like 5 hours it's kinda nice and fun to play it so stop hating before you play it .

Get a grip. The game isn't wrong because of any of those things.

I'm in the Beta since February and IMO the game is terrible. It's fun the first hours, but after 30h I feel sick of it and every time I launch it I ask myself: Why am I doing this? I could be in 1.6 right now and actually have fun. I just don't enjoy it. It feels some kind of cheap. Not bad, but not worth the name Counter-Strike.

Movement is shit (no strafing, no prestrafe, no countjump, ...), recoil is fucked up, weapon balance is off (deagle is a lasergun; AWP got no delay and since there's no other possibility for picking than just walking around the corner, the AWP is way too easy to use; autosnipers are ridiculous accurate; scout is useless now, ...), money system is shit, grenade physic is crap, models are ugly, animations look retarded, a lot of important settings are missing (+ lol@tickrate), maps are total bullshit (imported CSS and L4D maps and they managed to screw up the CSS maps even more), not a single new de_-map, CT and T model got different size, models too big, sound is terrible (yes I know about the announced update), ...

That's my opinion. If you like the game: Good for you.

I have the game then i know what im telling:
1) YOU CAN'T firing/spraying
2) MAPS are shit
3) movements are shit
4) mouse isn't so smooth (you must disable rawinput and be a bit better)
5) there are only idiots with cheating in DM.

EDIT 6) awp is shit but all can frag so much without any sense (random shit players)

I've managed to squeeze out ~5h in the course of a month or so and that was mainly with the aid of copious amounts of alcohol.

The game is simply not fun for me. I like to play the best that each genre has to offer, i.e. Civ III for TBS, SC2 for RTS, 1.6 for FPS, Fallout 1/2 / Arcanum etc for CRPG. Cannot be bothered to waste my time on a mediocre gaming experience.

Also, why would I switch if I already have a better alternative (1.6)? Don't bother with the "GTR & f0rest will move to CSGO will be epic yadda yadda blah blah." Couldn't give two shits about what they play if it isn't 1.6.

Also, I don't see this game having any longevity. I guess Sourcers might switch, maybe some new blood will turn up and some 1.6ers will switch but ultimately the game needs more than hype to keep it afloat. Valve / Hidden Path will have to make some radical changes if they don't want the game to fade away within a couple of years like Source did.

But hey, if you enjoy the game then be my guest and go ahead and play it.

Because it's the worst Counter-Strike game of the whole seires.

I haven't play CS:GO yet, so I won't tell anything about movement, recoil etc.
I've seen some movies about the blur at the edges of the screen and it really seems shitty, that much that I hope they will change it.
But I don't get these who say that new nades are crap. Have you been a 'rush&die' player in 1.6 ? Probably the most important part of this game is tactic. And this new grenades add something. I personally like this change a lot. I also like no wall-banging. Why? Maybe because I can run and not fear of HS just because somebody is desperately trying to get a kill and sprays full magazine into a wall. In real life the bullet won't get through concrete, unless you're shooting some armour-piercing ammo (and the wall is not too thick).
I think out of curiosity I'll play this game, maybe stick with it for some time, but never abandon 1.6. I'll always play, support, and watch it. And I'm a programmer so I kind of understand Valve that they don't just make 1.6 with better graphics, it's not so easy

I played a few games of it Hopefully it can improve, but either way im going to just grind it out with my team and if we have to learn a new game we will because if source and 1.6 players are playing it. that means more tournaments/lans and more money so if theres more money why not adapt to something new?

i would never hate so good game. most people on this site hasnt even tried it yet and already saying that it sucks. same thing happened when 1.6 came noone was going over to it because it "sucked". Looking forward to when it comes real version so 1.6 can be the past and cs:go take over.

It's not just a game that ment to be Competitive imo. The game has some bugs, the maps have too much things. The maps need to be simplified.
Also the recoil should be fixed.
But it's a funny game to play with friends i think

i like the game because the game is same for everyone, on 1.6 some have choppy and no smooth recoil but some have perfect but at cs go everyone have choppy recoil since the recoil is very wierd on cs go even if its a new game.

I also had fun playing CSGO in casual sort of way, mainly because it's fresh. But scrims (organized, aswell as those matchmaking) seem to be gun&run style. Even pro matches seem to be that way.

Yes yes cs:go have good graphics tttt. , but gameplay is terrible , so <3 cs 1.6
