fps problem windows 7 ultimate x64
fps drops from 100 to 70-40 every 10 seconds
i have tried all settings in the nvidia control panel
i have tried to set windows xp in the compatibility tab
i have tried the standard config
i have tried to reinstall the nvidia driver
i have tried to reinstall the game

Open up nvidia control panel, get into the program settings of hl.exe, put power management mode on "Prefer Maximum performance", also put multi display/mixed-gpu acceleration on single display performance mode.

Is there anything running in the background? like an antivirus? Also make sure you're using the high performance energy plan.

Something else is interfering with ur lappy. Look for viruses and buggy processess running in the background.

half of these commands are for source, you shouldn't use them anyways.
