no
By playing on 100 fps and 75hz the image displayed on the monitor will be much like playing on 75 fps but your gun recoil will be just like at 100 fps. With your fps set at 75 it will look the same but your gun recoil is going to be fucked up do to lower fps.

Always set to 100 fps, doesn't matter what monitor Hz you have.

100 Hz = 100 reel fps
2012-07-08 23:55:25
Yes, you can see only 75 fps on 75hz.
But it doesn't mean 100 fps = 75 fps on 75hz monitor
2012-07-08 23:56:49
put off vSync..

For a smooth gaming experience on 75hz, try playing on developer 1 and putting fps_max at 120 or 140 :)
Remember that developer 1 removes "[x] Read Only" from your .cfg files. So you have to back up those settings.
2012-07-08 23:58:34
developer 1 is legal to use ?
2012-07-09 00:08:08
Depends on where you play I guess, its legal with ESL Wire and EAC as far as I know! But I never use it cause I got a 100hz screen ;P
2012-07-09 00:24:29
so 100 hz is the best i guess no xD ?

U... a very talented guesser.

Even if it were legal you shouldn't use it as that cvar is not meant to be used when playing the game.
2012-07-09 00:37:07
no it wont be 75 fps but you will just feel the same if u switch from 100-90-80-75

Correct, to some extent. On a 75hz monitor you'll only have 75 visible frames per second.

But Guys when I had windows xP I could switch from 75 hz monitor to 100 but now in Win 7 I can stay only 75 .

dl RefreshLock

Because 7 isn't as 'switch friendly' as Xp is. In 7 the driver for 7 of your monitor must allow those 100 Hz. If it does not it won't let you switch to that value by default.

75 hz + vsync on = 75fps
2012-07-09 00:59:31
basicly you can only see 75 fps no matter if you have 100 fps
2012-08-07 16:50:58
its like 100 fps is 100 frames generated per second and 75hz is 75 picture your monitor refresh per second.
fps is number of frame your gpu can calculate and display
where as hz(hertz) is number of picture your monitor capable to refresh per second.
correct me?
2012-08-07 17:08:45
Look at it this way: your gpu sends the screen 100 frames while the screen only refreshes 75 times. This means that some of those 100frames will collide at certain points because there are more frames than there is hertz. -> that's how you get tearing on your lcd.
2012-08-07 17:12:43
even though your monitor only display 75 frames per second(75 hertz) your game still calculate 100 fps so it doesn't matter how fast your monitor display the recoil still the same.
the only real difference is that you can see the image being refreshed at it's fastest which means faster reaction time.
it doesn't effect your recoil at all
2012-08-07 17:16:02
exactly.
2012-08-07 18:31:53
yes

and i can proove it
2012-08-07 17:18:09
Once you play with 100/120hz you wont play again with 75hz. You cant see the difference but you can feel it
2012-08-07 17:20:31
120 hz with 100 fps?
2012-08-07 20:44:37
never!

it's just maximal refresh rate which your monitor keeps on you.
2012-08-07 17:25:02
playing on 85 hz :D
2012-08-07 22:16:56
basically if u get 60 fps you can see all the frames
2012-08-07 22:38:57
remind me web site when i can get program to change hz on win7 from default
2012-08-08 18:32:46
RefreshLock the name of the program?
2012-08-08 18:37:56
Launch options: -freq 75

Or ReForce.
