A ray of hope !
Listen , all u criers. way back when source was released, Source was in limelight. but it vanished the very next year and 1.6 came back to its throne. So RELAX. this is just a try out for CS:GO. if it fails. we will always have 1.6 BACK. its not dead and never will be.

Well,in back in 2005 there wasn't games such as Dota 2,League of Legends or Starcraft 2,so there was always a place for CS 1.6.
Now the story is different,if CSGO goes wrong it's gonna be dropped and replaced with another game, but not Cs 1.6!

I think you're wrong, i hope cs 1.6 returns, i know that is dificult, but if the drop CSGO they probably gonna put 1.6 back, or maybe source.

The thing is that you HOPE cs 1.6 returns. Don't understand me wrong, but of course we all hope that. If we look to the facts the chance is very small that it will actually happen.

But it has a chance, and idk any other FPS that could substitute cs 1.6, a known and good fps.

Exactly, it totally depends on the community, we split up again like source. 1.6 - gg. it takes 10 years of new releasing GAMES to break this community !

But you always had other games like Quake, Unreal tournament and Age of empires .... I think even NFS fifa and all were started to get popular.

the difference is

CS 1.6 was never dropped in 2005 ...only wcg dropped it back then, all the other major events had 1.6 ....so source was really just a trial game for 1 organization

this year cs 1.6 was dropped by 5-6 organizations ...
