1.
promod is more e-sport suited because it uses the same set of rules as 1.6 did to perfection, which allow the player to develop a skillset of his own to beat opponents.. cs:go on the other hand will not allow players to use the games rules to become extraordinary, because the game won't let them. Everything, the sound, movement, level design is more 'blurry', 'easy' and too mainstream.. The game doesn't let you be as skilled in using sound, movement, aim, IQ, as 1.6 and promod does... Therefore, I think we will see a more straightforward 'call of duty' like e-sport in cs:go, than the more skillbased oldschool gameplay like 1.6....
2. I will never play cs:go.. It's not because it's not 1.6, it's because it doesn't use the standards of what an professional e-sport game is all about (standards set by original cs)... I think it's too bad, both for the players but also for spectators ..
The competitive matches will never be as interesting again, if cs:go doesn't let players develop and use their skills in a e-sport standardized game set of rules..
