Except the part where he put his foot under the tire by purpose.
2012-08-07 19:59:18
It's his right to stop him. He cant just go away while he is getting a fine or whatever?
2012-08-07 21:08:06
But putting your foot under the tire, is just ... if you ask me... It's obvious you can't stop him like that, you can do it else way and not get injured.

It's better than standing in front of the car, rich guy might run over him, you never know lol
2012-08-08 14:05:30
to stop him from running (driving) from his ticket!
2012-08-07 21:08:20
cops are right. what does he think he can do? special treatment because he drives ferrari? no
2012-08-07 06:16:52
no, but the suv behind the suv didn't get a ticket so...
2012-08-07 06:48:42
Not sure if trolling...
If you know the story, the ferrari is on a valet (Parking) spot, where he can't be. The SUV is unknown, most likely is legally parked. Which is why the ferrari owner is the wrong one here.

if you say the driver is wrong then you are a complete retard. Although I don't know why the cop's foot is under the tire in the first place, lol.
2012-08-07 06:19:17
you are a complete retard lol, he is getting a ticket from a cop and the cop says stop moving and he continues to keep moving the car and then drives over the cops foot. im glad his spoiled brat ass got knocked the fuck down.
2012-08-07 06:40:50
LOL are you dumb? he was trying to drive off to avoid getting a parking ticket. The cop clearly said "STOP" twice and he completely ignored him. Guy got exactly what he deserved. Now instead of paying a $115 parking ticket, hes going to pay thousands for a lawyer and is going to get charged with vehicular assault and disorderly conduct. Smart move. Glad you agree with him. You two must share similar levels of intelligence.
2012-08-07 07:39:11

That fact is unknown, as I say it on Sxephil as well. Still the driver is the douchebag for driving away from a policeman, and It's really painful to get your foot run over a car.
2012-08-07 21:46:58
The car is missing the frontal license plate and some stickers (insurance/etc), the guy was a total idiot and shouldn't of even attempted leaving, totally deserved what he got, police officers did NOTHING wrong.
2012-08-07 06:46:43
yea but the cops damaged the car, thats not right
2012-08-07 06:53:39
and the driver broke the cops foot when he ran over it, he deserved what he got
2012-08-07 06:55:34
he didnt break his foot and it even doesnt hurt that much. if the cop did want to stop the car he should have done it properly, the driver couldnt see the cops foot. but i am not saying the driver is right, both made mistakes there.
2012-08-07 07:03:42
You do not need a front plate in the USA and some other countries.
2012-08-07 10:35:58
Wrong. Dude stop conveying false information. The front plate law is a state law, not a federal one. In New York state where this video was shot you DO need a front plate.
2012-08-07 15:03:56
Even if you are visiting?
2012-08-07 18:28:08
No, the law does not apply to cars out of state or from another country. If your car is registered in a state that requires a front plate you must legally have one on your car when driving in that state.
2012-08-07 18:34:55
So your argument up there is invalid - "In New York state where this video was shot you DO need a front plate." But that's not the point... It was just for understanding better US laws'. Thanks for info!
2012-08-07 20:01:23
What do you mean? I was correcting GoMeZ because he was wrong about the law. The Ferrari in the video has a New York plate, so how am I wrong?
2012-08-07 20:07:42
Doesn't it have New Jersey over the New York?

the ferarri driver is wrong and the policeman dont need to react like that
2012-08-07 07:09:09
the ferrari driver is acting like a douche but the police agent is making a huge scene. if a ferrari drives over your foot you should be fine, besides, he's wearing special shoes. the police agent is annoyed and overreacts and lately pretends to have so much pain to justify his aggressive behavior. both were wrong.
2012-08-07 07:16:16
yeah i agree too
american police tend to create a lot of scene even for a small incident.

implying any cop wears steel shoes
that ferrari weights as much as a middle class car(1,4ton).
any action that you take against a cop ends with another action by the cop. if someone smashes you in the face you should be fine as well. does that mean the cop is not allowed to take action of that as well?

No you see, that is the crux of the issue here. The policeman is in a position of power and authority. Once he starts destroying the car and goes off the hook in general there's absolutely fuck all that the guy can do. If it was your average Joe with whom this would have happened then you'd smash him on the spot. The cop knows that there's nothing that the guy can do to retaliate and he uses his authority to act like a fucking prick. In the end it's this guy who is indirectly paying that cop's salary. He doesn't have to put up with such bullshit from a civil servant.

The video shows the cop hitting the car as well as the resulting damage, so there's no question or implication to discuss.
I'm not saying that what the guy did was right - it was clearly wrong, but so was the cop's reaction. Like I said, the guy is obviously unable to retaliate. Are you going to hit a cop? Welcome to a world of shit if you do.

2012-08-07 10:00:59
I dont agree with what the policeman did. At the start of the video he is clearly standing next to the car. He only then puts his foot under when the guy looks like he is about to drive off.
Clearly he cannot see the guys foot so you would assume it was still at the side of the car.
In fact, if you watch it again, he actually moves his foot under there when the go leans down. So he definitely didn't see him move his foot.
But as for trying to just drive off, not sure that was the right thing to do.

for sure he does man because he has to write a ticket otherwise the car would move away and you didnt finished the ticket. and for what do you need do see his foot when you see his whole body in front/beside of the car. its clearly that the cop wanted the driver to wait a few seconds till he finished the ticket. i cant really unterstand how someone who watched the video has another opinion.
i mean as you said he didnt even saw the back plate yet. i guess so yeah let him leave :D

you are allowed to drive off. law doesnt require you to stay around. As long as he has his rego, he will just get the ticket in the mail.
2012-08-07 12:24:44
you dont get the point but okay
1. who says he finsied the god damn ticket? then he wouldnt have had to step in front of the car. he still wrote something otherwise he would have tried to put the ticket under the wipers. this would have been another story
2. and by law you are not allowed to drive over a cops foot when he's in front of you to show that he will finish his ticket.

Um no, what did you just make that up? Maybe you can do that in Australia, but that is not how it works in the United States.
You may possibly get away with that when dealing with a meter maid but NOT a police officer. Especially when he tells you to clearly STOP. That is called evading law enforcement.

No he can't do that in Australia too, Gomez should be out of his mind or overreacting. Months ago I saw the daily news where a Brazilian got killed on Australia for attempt to run out of the police when they warn then more then twice to STOP. Are the Police Officers wrongs too ? So if there was a train insetead that car, what would you do if you were the policeman?
I see 2 cases:
1.If the policeman is writing an amerce to the possessor of that Ferrari, you can't come and run over, as nothing happened, without asking anything.
2.If the policeman is writing an amerce or whatever, and he doesn't address to you, then you must ask him to stay away from your car, because you wanna go.

2012-08-07 11:46:21
i remember how i was slowly driving my car near my house.
some man was walking on the same road by foot and only one of us could pass this narrow road at a time.
i stopped to let him pass. he didn't want to. he made one step to the left, stopped and started looking at me.
i started moving slowly, thinking that he let me pass.
suddenly he jumped back, showed me his leg and started to shout on me. i was rolling over his foot.
so, i want to say two things:
1) When you drive really close to somebody you can't understand if his foot is under your wheel or not.
2) Many people are retards. When he sees you moving in front of him, he just keep on standing like a boss in the computer game, not even trying to make two steps aside.
So both were wrong in that case.

Well someone said it on the youtube comments, that he, the driver got acces and was allowed to park there by the hotel manager, he was sitting at a nearby hotel.
If this is the case, the cop shouldn't even bother of writing a ticket, if not well than that kid is pure retarded.

2012-08-07 17:49:23
Even if that is true, that is not how you deal with a police officer. You take the ticket up with the hotel or contact the police at a later date concerning the ticket. If the driver was in the right by parking there he should of took the ticket to court when he was to appear and explain the situation (ticket would get dropped easily), not try to drive away like an asshole.
By the way it is very common for things like this to happen. Manhattan does not work like most places. Business rarely "own" parking on the streets in front of their place of business. This happened to a friend of mine when he was told he could park in front of a restaurant, but infact received a ticket anyway. The restaurant wound up paying it and because they had no idea how the law worked and just assumed that the spots in front of their store were theirs but were actually deemed no stopping zones by the city.

The cop was wrong.. if he was authorized by the hotel to park there.
And seeing that this guy is rich i have bad news for this cop.. he will get bailed out but the cop's career will probably end and he wont try to be a badass again

You're a dumbass. This is NYC, no one gets special treatment. If you break the law you break the law. Being rich means nothing when living in Manhattan, everyone who lives there is rich. He got what he deserved. No chance this cop will get fired, he did nothing wrong.
I am seriously laughing at "you should think before you mess with people who are rich and could fuck you up." Money doesn't mean shit in New York, it is so sad that you think that. Cops in NYC do not operate on that assumption and never will. What kind of society would we live in if cops were afraid to arrest rich people because they might have connections. Who cares. Sure he can get a good lawyer but it is still going to cost him thousands when it should of only costed him $115.

What makes you think this idiot is a millionaire? He is the boyfriend of a reality TV star.
Nothing will happen to this cop. He did nothing wrong. As I said NY does not work like that. Politicians, millionaires and CEO's get arrested for DUI's and other crimes all the time here. It is their job to enforce the law, no matter who breaks it. No cop is going about in fear about arresting someone because he thinks hes rich. That assumption is moronic, and would clearly contradict what the police do. A law is a law.
If he was fired all he would have to do is go to the media and expose the truth and it would be hell to pay for all involved. It would be pretty easy considering it is documented on video. This isn't the fucking Illuminati conspiracy, he is not going to disappear and wind up in a ditch somewhere for arresting some asshole. The US does not work this way. Glad you think rich people control everything aspect of society though and are immune to punishment, thanks for showing me your level of intelligence.

America is weird. When it's allowed to start bashing to someone car and then arrest him like this and all he did was ran over police guy feet because police guy is dumb and standing near the car (and he could dodge it when he saw he starting engine but he stood ther trying to stop that car with his hands or what.)

I don't understand your logic. So it is okay in your country to evade a police officer when he tells you to stop and completely disregard him? Must be nice to live in your country, I would feel pretty safe there.
This guy completely in the wrong. The police officer should not have to dodge anything, he is trying to do his fucking job. This isn't an issue of a nationality either, it is the principle of respect for a law officer. Show me one place where you can legally evade a law officer because you don't feel like doing what he says. Again, wtf are you trying to say? How does this have to do with America? If i'm not mistaken in other countries this guy would have been punished a lot more severely then just a few hour jail visit.

"Must be nice to live in your country, I would feel pretty safe there." said guy from America. Do you know how many guns you have there ? how many murders you have in your country ? I think I would be more afraid of my life only in arabic countries than in America. I know guy who visited new york for few days .... second day he got shooted by some nigger.
Well, he tried drive away, but once he accidently drove over police guy feet he stopped he didn't try anything after it and police guy start punching his car and than threw him to ground. That ins't something we consider as legal here I think. He just couldn't control his emotions.

I feel very safe here, thanks. There is no reason to be afraid. You have to find crime here, it rarely finds you.
Murder rate is not consistent country wide. It is more prevalent in certain areas, mostly where gangs are rampid (Chicago, LA, Philly, parts of Florida). NYC violent crime is way down, nothing like it used to be. Most people buy guns for protection, not everyone goes out and murders people.
I am not trying to insult your country, I just don't understand how you can justify not following an officers order. He was trying to get him to stop the whole time. Once he started the car the officer clearly positioned himself to let the guy driving know "don't try to drive away because i'm here, right in front of your car" The guy tried to leave anyway, being an asshole and driving over his foot in the process. Then the cop told him to get out of the car and he didn't, again disregarding a direct request from the cop, so he got ripped out of the car and arrested. Really nothing more to analyze. He deserved what he got, and the cop acted well in his authority to arrest this guy. All of this could of been avoided with the guy not acting like a douchebag.
And your friend was obviously doing something sketchy or offended someone because you just don't get shot in New York for no reason. It doesn't work that way. No one shoots people for fun, this isn't a carnival game.
All of this could of been avoided with the guy not acting like a douchebag.

w/e it's pointless arguing...it wasn't my friend just met that guy because he was friend of my friend. He told us about his great times in America.

You should stop discuss, to the guys think oppose about what you said they should be under 20 years old, do not work, don't pay their own bills or simply imature. You're completly right, and no ones deserves especial threatment because they're rich anywhere.
Don't who teach those guys, when I was on the high school if my theacher tells me to SHUT UP, I SHUT UP. same apply to police officers (ofc when they're not abusing, which is not the case on this video).

why should the officer dodge the car? he wanted to stop it,he did his job for god sake
2012-08-07 21:16:01
His job is putting your feet under car with running engine ? He thought he will stop that car with his feet or what?
2012-08-07 21:26:48
mg are you blind? please watch the video one more time and watch in which position the oficer was...he even didnt expect that he will actualy try to drive off.
2012-08-07 21:30:18
what he expected from car with running engine ? Fly away ?
2012-08-07 21:34:29
he is police officer for god sake..do you know whats that? i start doubt about that.
2012-08-07 21:38:38
dunno, if police officer is something extra in America but from my view he's just normal police guy without some extra position like xx other police guys and I don't know what it have do with expecting/not expecting something...

Not at all. The media just wants the story they don't care about money. You obviously have no idea how the US works. Stop speaking for your own country. Do you think the newspaper charges random people to run their stories? Or news networks require payment from the people they interview on the street? Wtf are you talking about... they just want the story.
Money is not everything... you can't bribe cops here just because you are rich. Sure it happens sometimes, but it is not commonplace or a regular occurrence. I am not being naive, if money meant everything then why do politicians get thrown in jail for scandals and wrongdoings and lose their jobs? If money was everything why did this CEO just get arrested for credit fraud? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/08/03/jerry-wan..
He should be immune right? He's pretty rich, he should get off because he has money right?
Horrible logic. Obviously rich people have pull in society, but they are not untouchable by any means.

Not that i dont agree with you.
But the newspaper do it for the money, the story behind will have in inpact on how many who gonna buy the newspaper, if you know what i mean.
If headline is: White Cat was crossing the steets the paper wouldnt sell as much if it was:
President got stabbed to death by a monkey.
But when that is said.
You can't blame the police officer, in fact i think he could even be arrested and jailed for "attacking an officer in duty" if thats the correct word/law name.

Of course they are in business to turn a profit, I was not saying that they weren't. But they don't charge people for bringing them a story or content, they just want the story. bhuvanesh123 said "media wud be the first to demand money from the concerned before posting any truth", that is completely untrue.
No media here demands "extra" payment or any at all for a story. While often they slander the truth to make the story more interesting, they would certainly not do it in this case because it would be the little guy (innocent cop) against the big guy (rich guy getting the cop fired), and media loves to show those stories and expose the big guys.

2012-08-07 19:50:55
Both reacted shitty imo.. but i think the cop had the right on his side in this situation. I mean what the fuck is this dude thinking? Just driving away while the cop wants to give him a ticket? He could have at least talked to the cop but just trying to drive away lol.. stupid.
2012-08-07 20:28:43
Never put your feet under car with running engine.
2012-08-07 20:45:38

2012-08-07 21:31:52
Reading some comments here and on youtube just made me sick -.-
How the fuck can you think that its the cop's fault ?
If that richie boy didnt though that he can do everything he wants just because he has money none of this would happen ...
The law is equal to everybody , if you are rich , poor , black , white...

Only in America, are people this retarded. To make it even funnier.. The public accept it and go on with life hahahaha. Get nowhere in life Americans
2012-08-08 13:38:40
The public accept what? that the cop did his job? I guess you are one of the idiots that agree with the driver, in which case your opinion is rather useless.
Your whole comment has about the same level of intellect as the shit i just took, actually i think my shit edges you out a little, sorry. You might want to go back to school so maybe you can "get somewhere in life", instead of spewing bullshit out of your mouth on the internet.

deserved, this guy is a f*ckin moron
2012-08-08 13:43:22
It seems to me, that when the cop told him to stop, the driver made his move again. But it looks like it was only about 2-3 cm.Mabe there was a little downhill of the road.Mabe he didnt even wanted to drive off but insted to turn off the engine.... But who knows.
2012-08-08 14:23:51
How the fuck do you guys say all hes a rich bastard???? maybe he rented the car for a few days
2012-08-08 14:57:19
the next day that kid is out of police station and the cop lost this job
2012-08-08 15:57:51
Well that was yesterday and the cop never lost his job, so you're wrong. Nothing is going to happen to him.
2012-08-08 16:02:01
You're wrong. I know this video since 1 August
2012-08-08 16:25:34
And? Your going to nitpick about the date?
The cop still has his job, and he won't be fired. So by you saying "and the cop lost his job" is completely false. By the way the video was uploaded on the 4th, so how could you have possibly seen it on the 1st? :p

there are more videos with this incident. it's not the only user who uploaded it.

right, but the link that OP posted is the original video.
notice the comment on youtube "PLEASE DO NOT USE WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZED PERMISSION!"
He is obviously the OP of the video on youtube. I really don't care, but you didn't see the video on August 1st unless you are a supreme being who can see into the future, in which case tell me who my future wife is and the sex of my children :)

People just say that police officer is right because the driver is rich and drives a ferrari.
2012-08-08 17:45:00
If I were cop I would probably have broken all his fingers and hit all his teeth out that then he could pick his teeth with his broken fingers
2012-08-24 22:01:35
mad police is mad, they will never drive a ferrari, ssb
