Just bought Siberia v2... mic quality is awful
has anyone experienced this? just took my siberia v2 out of the box and plugged it in... sound quality is decent enough but the mic sounds like utter shit! horrible static and i can barely understand my own words, in 1.6 voice options....

ok, seems like false alarm, i tested the mic quality on vocaroo.com and it sounded fantastic. but now im worried that in-game i'll sound like shit, because when testing my voice in-game under voice options it still sounds crappy

voice transmission to max

check if u have micro booster in windows

i have the headset too like many others it should work the same way as us

I have Siberia v1 for 5 years. And its still working without any problems.

I guess i'm one of those lucky people, who got a SteelSeries product without any bugs.

I have kinzu for 6 months and no bugs (double click, mousewheel and etc.)
I also got Siberia v2 black almost 3 weeks. Works perfect

I have Sennheiser HD 201 for 20 E and it has better sound quality than siberias. I have random table micrphone for 3 E and it has same mic quality as siberias for 65~. Imho steelseries headphones sucks for that prize... For your problem you can buy cheap table mic for few euros and problem solved...

As far as I can read the mic works fine outside the game. Why buy a new one if the one the headset features works fine outside CS? If so, the user would end up with a X-for-Y hardware which isn't as said what is being ask support for.
