1.5 was good, 1.6 great.
2013-02-14 04:09:08
I think the same. Not at this time, but in future, it's a fact.
2012-08-14 12:43:41

2013-02-13 05:20:30

2012-08-14 12:44:21

2013-02-14 14:02:29
Just dont get it when u have a perfect game with lots of people playing it,why do u make another game??
2012-08-14 13:16:53
because you make more money by selling new games each 2 years

look at cod games

alot say cod 2 and cod 4 (cod mw1) where the best

but they still sell mw2/mw3/blackops/and one other in 4-5 years ?
2012-08-14 14:04:17
yeah true !
2012-08-14 16:03:14
That's not the reason.
2013-02-13 17:03:55
Are you a troll to bump an old post from 6 months ago ?

Saying it's not that reason isn't an argument.

Don't see why it ain't true, we all know Fifa football games work perfectly because they sell each year in millions of copies a new one and EA games is one of the biggest companies out there for video games.

This change was needed, but still: The game is shit and I won't play it. That's for sure.
2012-08-14 14:17:29
It's not shit. 1.6 is better but that doesn't make CSGO shit.
2013-02-13 14:25:46
It was def shit when I wrote that 6 months ago.
2013-02-13 16:22:34
cs 1.6 died already before cs:go release bec of the sponsors.. i dont know why ppl ignore much cs:go )
2012-08-14 14:26:27
agree
2012-08-14 14:37:02
My opinion about the topic is that if Valve Inc. supported cs 1.6 as Riot supports league of legends the things would be completely different. I even think that if the things looked like that the game actually would get popular more and more worldwide just like LoL was in its early days back in 2009... But we all know that the truth is cs 1.6 will be dead in 5 months and that's a fact for god sake!
2012-08-14 14:27:29
Ah! *the dozens of readers*
2012-08-14 16:17:03
what do you think I don't understand you..
2012-08-14 17:16:30
You're an idiot LOL. If valve supported 1.6.....No new player wants to play a lego game.

CSP i guess
2012-08-14 17:51:01
If valve spent the same amount of money promoting source as they are promoting GO right now, cs 1.6 would died at the time source went out. imo
2012-08-14 18:29:24
up
2012-08-15 08:55:53
No CS:GO no end of the world
2012-08-15 08:57:00
1.6 died .... at the current state i don't think CS:GO will last very long, this year will tell more...

maybe a new true competitive FPS can save FPSs.
2013-02-13 05:49:19
FPS itself is slowly fading away

FPS = Has immense requirements. Both from the machine and the player

MOBA = You just require a brain. You don't require super fast reflexes and super fast machines. Only SC2 needs incredible APM to be a world class player and just see it's market reach :-\
SC:BW was even tougher than SC2 and it was abandoned like 1.6 was abandoned

People nowadays just want to play easier games
2013-02-13 16:46:27
Like when noob quakers went to cs?
2013-02-13 17:06:21
Quakers who left for CS can be of the following types
> saw the monetary potential in CS
> enjoyed CS more than Quake
> found the CS scene more interesting than Quake
> couldn't play with the top tier players of Quake (Skill saturation)

People can leave for different reasons

I don't think fatality played CS because he was a noob in Quake

At the current state of a consistently rising player base, much larger organisations supporting the scene (Curse, Quantic) and huge tournaments being announced all the time? (156K EMS, CPH Games, Dreamhack, ESH Vienna)

Gud Logikz
2013-02-14 02:51:54
"this year will tell more... "

Learn to read boy. All these tournaments ... and? If CS:GO can't start to attract DRASTICALLY more players and viewers sponsors will care less next year .....

Now go away ... don't care what some close minded people think.

Are you angry because CSP has 36 active players or something?
2013-02-14 08:54:43
Not really .... is this already the only thing u can come up with? Really sad....
2013-02-14 09:41:37
Sooner or later 1.6 changed.

Imo if CSGO not came there wouldn't be fps games on big stage.
CSGO not killed 1.6 more likely "saved" the fps category to watch something in esports.
All of the older generation of fps games like Painkiller,Quake,UT,CS gone...Because of outdated graphics which is not the main thing..These games were "overplayed" u cant show new things or something different in these games.
Example in CS, always the same maps, same rounds/tactics.

Its just my view, esports need new blood and if Valve dont fail with the updates CSGO will be a good game, imo its already a decent one.

2013-02-13 07:12:23
hahaha, do you think that GO killed 1.6? It was already dead my friend. GO was just an attempt to make the brand 'CS' alive, but it have been failing hard on its mission.

cs would still intact...
2013-02-13 13:51:13
CSGO / CSS will probably die before 1.6 simply because both of those games are terrible versions of each other. 1.6 was the closest they had to a complete game... Other two have no movement no recoil and terrible new weapons and simply css maps with the most retarded additions to them. Only map they improved was de_dust with a new entrance.

If CSS and CSGO would have never saw daylight and if you look on the current poor real competitive FPS Situation on the market, you can be sure CS 1.6 still would be da Game to play for every competitive Player for a long time no matter how outdated the graphics are cause the Game has it what it takes for real esports FPS Competition.

I mean look what we got besides CSGO right now. It's lame as Shit. Developers mostly doing the safe mainstreamshit like call of duty.

The highest hopes lay in indie devs like 2GD and his team developing some hardcore based real esports FPS like "Reborn" right now or if a big legendary Company like ID cares about another new Quake Multiplayer again.

And Games like Call of Duty are exactly the mainstreamshit selling like bred, but never playing a real competitive role.
