Yes, because regular CS has BEEN dead and people are only just now realizing it. And since CSP is an underdeveloped and never even gets worked on anymore, CS:GO is going to be the only CS left to play that gets put in any leagues or tournaments that are worth mentioning.

I talked with a lot of people and most of them agree:
cs:go netcode is WAY better right? so imagine that in cs 1.6...
people would be playing much more 1.6, it would never die.
Look what they did to the scope in cs:go, realistic? yes. But cs is not about that, its about an unique fps feeling.
BUT thats just my opinion, I respect all others. And why not give cs:go a try...I think it will take some time to "shape" the game (fix bugs, damages, etc), maybe people like it ^^

I played it today and they should change something with the recoil and hitbox. I know it's said alot but you simply can't control your spray.

They changed the recoil patern (up, right, left, right or something) but not the way it reacts to your mouse movement inorder to control it properly.

Don't think so. I don't like these cs:go maps. They are smaller than then normal cs 1.6 maps, and i see there are hard to play with AWP. de_train is also nerfed, you can't climb up on train from back, only from side middle + some important train vagons has been removed,so harder to hide with orb in your hands. And im not gonna talk about cs;go movement,grenades, and de_inferno map. In inferno u can only play normal in c,with awp,because inferno streets are so narrow,and small. If valve can fix these problems,then no problem for me.. :)

No, I don't feel comfortable with the game. I think AK/M4 recoils are decent but maps, movement, AWP, deagle are token from Source 100%. I also think maps looks butt ugly, de_dust 1 and dust2 are totally dustier, because it feels like town in afganistan now, I dont want that.

And about Valve, I feel that they didn't listen at all. I mean lurppis told that they listen mostly Source guys, our community has been spamming in the forums with caps lock what it should be, pro's been saying same thing. I think only reason they made this game was because Gabe Newell's daughter needs liposuction and they need extra $$$ to do it (because daily Gabe Newell's liposuction is very expensive)!

I would totally hear from Valve why they made it Source based without any excuses like "we took best things from Source and best things from 1.6". Oh community is wrong, the game has more CS 1.6 in it than CS:S. "I feel that we did perfect thing, we haven't heard any complains!" Or the classic "Relax it is a game". Those excuses would be totally fun to hear, but not as fun "We have deciced to not add SourceTV/HLTV on this game, we don't feel it's important". When I heard some pro in USA meeting told that I actually did facepalm on my hands.

The games a lot better than when it came out in November. It's more of a case of getting used to but I think it's a lot better than Source. The only problems i have with it now is when spraying you can't really feel where the bullets are, tapping doesn't work so much and there is so much shit on some of the maps you can't distinguish between maps and people. Sound is also pretty crazy right now too but I'm assuming that would get fixed!

i think cs:go is pretty decent taking in mind that it's in beta stage at the moment. Sure it needs polishing, but so did all the other versions of CS. In 6 months time, the game will be even better i guess. Shaping a game takes time.

i played 8h of cs:go and i don't think im gonna play it as main game, I dont like the recoil and probably the worst thing is the sound + radar, in cs 1.6 I can hear what's going on far away from me or just come to conclusion what's going on when I see one of my teammates dead (just by looking at where the dot at radar went off), every good cs 1.6 player can just move the cursor on the wall exactly where the running enemy behind the wall is, i'm talking even short-medium range, in cs:go although I play it for 8h I constantly get the feeling of chaos, when I'm playing TT on train, rushing to the building and going down the ladder I am shocked to see my opponent there, which means he has been rushing there too, and I didn't hear a thing, while in 1.6 you would hear the CT rushing from the outside

it's still the beta version, dunno if it will be a lot of changes or not on 21st august but they will make update and the game is gonna be very nice. i hope so..
the first things they have to change for me are the sounds [:(], the recoil and the visibility of the skins.
don't judge the game if u played 1hrs, play some games and u'll start to enjoy it.

I've played it for 10min and I have to say, it looks like a 10€ css patch .. It's not that i don't like the game, its pretty cool with nice graphics but for me, its more similar to css than with 1.6 .
I think, this game will actually be a main game for 2/3 years, after that big names from e-sports will start dropping the scene, but i can be completely wrong .

The game has already a big "boost" with HLTV supporting, stars from 1.6 joining GO, new GO events with a very decent prizes, etc ..

I've played 1.6 from 2005 to 2011 , I don't play anymore because i felt bored with this kind of games . I will not play GO because that's not the type of game i like anymore and I can't even get over 100fps on that game .

but guys, why not give it a shot ? don't say "no, never, 1.6 forever, etc" , without even try, maybe u'll like the game .

To put it simply, CS:GO doesn't hook me at any level.
1. I need the feeling that I have a goal to aim for. Don't quite see it
2. The game hasn't got the "touch" needed in a good FPS game for me. It feels as if there isn't room for true skill. Quake demands sick movement and a good aim. Older CS need a good aim combined with perfect recoil control. In those games a great player can score 50-0. I don't see anyone scoring 50-0 in CS:GO, too random.

Just my point of view :P
