Did you turn off Vsync?
2012-08-17 15:15:35
yes
2012-08-17 15:20:26
Ingame and in your driver?
What's your GPU?
2012-08-17 15:21:57
gpu is graphic card?
nVidia GTX 560M 1.5GB DDR5
2012-08-17 16:14:35
and yes ingame and in video settings
2012-08-17 16:17:38
Did you switch it off in the NVidia Control Panel?
Also, I recall on older models/OSes vsync being enabled in dxdiag (I used to have to disable it there on my ancient PC). So go and have a poke around your DXDIAG (Start -> Run -> type dxdiag).
2012-08-19 17:51:25
i solved problem already, 300 fps now, anyway thanks :D
2012-08-20 00:46:11
Now fucking tell us how did you solve it!?
2012-09-14 20:51:09
http://www.hltv.org/blog/5834-csgo-basic-tips-conf.. do this step by step and put on 640x480 resolution or 800x600 :)and yes, put all textures and graphics and other shit to low
2012-09-15 00:27:52
you need more Ghz, try to overclock your cpu to 3.0 and see how it's working.Csgo's fps is mostly based on your processor
2012-08-17 15:17:07
i have turbo bust up to 3.2ghz
2012-08-17 15:20:37
should be enough
2012-08-17 15:27:04

2012-12-16 15:56:02
yeah but i have turbo boost up to 3.2ghz so it shouldnt be problem
2012-08-18 00:01:25
i7 quad core 2.2ghz !!!!!

QUADCORE!
2012-08-18 00:06:11
i dont know about csgo, but 1,6 just uses 1 core, no matter how much cores does it have.
2012-08-18 00:16:08
WTF!? He's talking about GO man...
Why are you talking about 1.6?
2012-08-18 00:18:56
lol
2012-08-18 00:19:57
by: Jonathan E. - HLTV.org

Actually CS 1.6 is not 'just using 1 core' but not optimized to using more than one. Whereas Source games are optimized for multicores.
2012-08-18 00:21:58
typical
2012-08-18 00:23:18
I have 3,6 ghz and dont get 200 fps annoys me
2012-08-18 00:04:22
dude i have 8.8ghz its much more and 60fps
2012-08-18 11:58:50
8,8 on quad orrrr? I have 3,6 on octo and get 99-140 fps. While other people get 250-300 stable
2012-08-18 12:14:19
2.2 quad core so its 8.8gzh and turbo boost up to 3.2ghz
2012-08-18 12:16:13
So mine would be 8 * 3,6 = 28,8 ghz. And i wouldnt be at 300 stable...

Ur processor works at 2,2 per core. Not all combined. Ur pc distributes the workload over 4 cores at 2,2 ghz. So upgrading ur processor should give u more fps. Or wait for a fix.
2012-08-18 12:35:58
what u mean by "upgrading ur processor
2012-08-18 14:13:58
Sorry didn read u have a laptop hahahha

2012-08-18 12:04:42
I have 99-140 and it doesnt feel smooth. I had before the patch 250 that felt smooth
2012-08-18 12:37:41
HOw to i get to the console?
2012-08-18 12:07:56
In game settings there is an option called developer console enable or disable enable it and ull have console
2012-08-18 12:38:36
bind "`" "toggleconsole"
2012-08-18 13:26:34
toshiba is the problem
2012-08-18 12:43:50
set off the notebook settings in csgo, but IN THE MAIN MENU, not ingame menu.. if you have notebook it will automatically turn on 60fps, this could be removed by setting this off, but I can't remember what was the setting name, cuz I have game in czech..

//EDIT: in main menu, go to settings, video settings, and there are few options, one of them is the "notebook power saving" or something like that, turn that sh*t off and you will have better FPS.. if you have this option on, you will never have FPS higher than 60

pls find this out, i have the same problem i play in a notebook and when i enter the server i got 100fps, but after 1min my fps fix on 60 and probably is because of that option. If u can take a print of the option that i need to turn off.

edit: now i saw your edit, ty i'll try it

I don't think you know what a low end notebook is...
2012-08-19 17:54:19
lol i have a standart pc and i get 80/100fps
2012-08-18 18:00:17
AMD Phenom II X6 1100T 3.3GHz
ATI HD 6950 2GB GDDR5

and I get 120-280 fps :S

I should be able to get a stable fps with this or not?

2012-08-18 18:27:07
I heard that AMD and ATI users have problems with fps in CS:GO , and it should be fixed soon :D
2012-08-19 16:30:21
ah right, thx
2012-08-19 17:05:08

i7 2600 @3.40Ghz
RAM 6Go
win 64bits

GPU
Nvidia GeForce GT 420
2Go DDR3

and.....I Get 60-80 fps

All video options on low in csgo
Even in Nvidia control panel i switched all filtering shit on off and forced vsync off.

...What the fucking fuck???
2012-08-19 16:19:56
with nvidia laptop cards games run on built in video » Intel HD 3000 or smth. You can dl program to force your system use nvidia card only.
2012-08-19 16:34:47
Thanks for your answer.
Ok so in NVIDIA control panel i got an option called
CUDA graphic processors and where i can pick GeForce GT 420, is this what you're talking about?
2012-08-19 16:58:35
I also read something about the notebook power saving setting in CS:GO which lowers the fps drastically.

I don't play on notebook myself so I don't know how it exactly works so sorry :)
2012-08-19 17:09:22
Im on a PC not on a laptop so this option is allready disabled ^^
2012-08-19 17:26:44
Yea changing those may help you. My friend had the same problem in 1.6 and he changed settings in the panel but it still used the built in graphics..so he got some kind of program where he could change what programs use nvidia. Many people have this problem so if you look around im sure ull find answers for this question.
2012-08-19 17:15:59
I updated my drivers with slimdrivers, then made some changes on NVIDIA Panel, about priority to performances over quality, i managed to make it go up to 150fps now, but in 800x600....
I got a 1920x1080 HD screen LOL
it's a pity...
2012-08-19 17:29:10
im also playing 640*480 because im used to it but I might change that when they fix the fps problems
2012-08-19 17:34:30
I guess its related to screen resolution as well
When i pick widescreen 16/9 and 1920x1080 it goes down to 60 fps
When i pick normal 4/3 and 640x480 it goes up to 300 fps...
2012-08-19 17:35:06
I have no clue why but I have 60-100 fps no matter if I use 4:3 640x480 or 16:9 1920x1080..
2012-09-14 00:56:43
wait for full game, this is not full optimized for computers.

i hope....

Same problem here, I3-2100, 4GB RAM, ATI RADEON HD 5450 2GB, XP SP3 32 BIT and 60-100 FPS ON GAME!!!
Dont know if that is due to the beta game, but alot of people are complaining

what resolution you using?
2012-08-20 01:21:36
800*600
!!
2012-08-20 01:25:55
As said above in #71
When i pick widescreen 16/9 and 1920x1080 it goes down to 60 fps
When i pick normal 4/3 and 640x480 it goes up to 300 fps...

so try 640x480
or check in your gfx control panel how to disable all the filter options, and make sur you disabled vsync.

2012-08-20 01:28:27
800*600
!!
2012-08-20 01:25:45
and check this to see what CS:GO requires regarding your gfx card

I solved my problem with this:

- vsync off
- filtering shit off
- all video sttings on medium
- Resolution 1280 x 720 (still shit though, I got a big ass HD screen, bigger than my TV lol)
- fps_max 300

==> 150-200fps in game

I have a nvidia geforce 560 Ti and I fps drops but do not know what instlnigar to wear but I've turned off vsync and so but you may well overclock the card but do not know how to do it, maybe they have someone who knows if they are any good instlnig in EXperTool and get more fps if you overclock your graphics card?

source engine, all you need is cpu
2012-09-14 13:52:55
omg he dont need a graphic cards, all in csgo is about CPU and ghz...
2012-09-14 00:55:26
partially right, cuz it runs in a source engine the CPU is very important, but with a good GFX can have more fps in your favor...
2012-09-14 02:28:14
Wrong boys.. Graphic card is very important. My core2duo procesor is working 40-60% in CS:go, while I have 70fps... So answer is my graphic card is bad.. Also tried CS on quadcore and same shit, graphic card is also low and fps is not too good. So CPU cant give U good fps without great graphic card.
2012-09-14 15:00:49
Ok, let me put it this way, with onboard graphic card in dota2, cuz this is the only game i tested that runs with source engine, i've got 30fps, and with the graphic card, 8600gts, 100+ .. Do the math
A good CPU, at least dualcore + 9600 or higher graphic card 100+ fps always.
