1.6 pro scene is almost dead, Valve killed it. However we can still revive it if WE WANT.
CS 1.6 has got much popularity from these 12 years, and HUGE COMMUNITY, just look at the numbers (except nonsteam players lol).
Get over the fact that pro players are retiring, someone leaves, someone comes.
Let just keep game alive. Post more 1.6 threads on here, don't let it down, everything is in our hands.

PS: don't listen to Nomad or any other admin on here about 1.6 death, hes just gettin richer from hosting CSGO news and shit.

Yea man, this is making me totally rich.. Listen it is very simple, there have been fewer and fewer events ever since Arbalet stopped, and actually, had it not been for Arbalet CS 1.6 would have died many years ago, we cannot revive it, because all of the USA and most of Western Europe do not want to follow CS 1.6 anymore, it is really that simple.

The big influx of Eastern European CS fans kept the game alive for many extra years, and I think we are all grateful for that, but it is time to face facts, most of the world moved on many years ago, we have to too. CS:GO might not be the optimal game for that right now, but then we must help shape it. It is the closest thing we have got to CS that has momentum and growth.

There are thousands of threads on steam forums, valve never cared. There is 64bitvips where there are so many tickets opened for Valve, but they chose to ignore the highest rated tickets.

I say so because Valve once approached CS pros and called them to Seattle BEFORE the game was released. So probably, they might want to hear what the pros have to say AFTER the game is released and what else needs to be changed in the game to make it better.

You should definitely do something like that. CSGO won't be as popular as it could be if noone makes a move. I'm pretty sure that community websites like fragbite, gaming.dk, vakarm, aaa, maybe even cadred would agree to make something like that. If you can gather all theses websites, and show valve that both the casual and top players communities are supporting you, valve could start talking to us and try to make a really good game.

AndI say we because there are plenty of people here you are interested in competitive CS, and believe that we can shape CS:GO into a great game, just as we did CS more than a decade ago. But let me wager a guess, you were not around in 2000 when CS was a horribly buggy game, or before 6.1 where the netcode was a total disaster, it is easy to just assume that CS was always "1.6 and perfect" which in itself is a joke, as CS 1.6 has a ton of bugs still.

This isn't about bugs, this is about CS:GO being simply a bad game and that's about it. When you look at all the expectations, all the feedback received from pros Valve invited to test, and then you see the... eh... end result?.. there's only 1 real big difference... cs:go has cs 1.6 and cs:s to work off of they should of put the time to take the best out of both games and made it into something special. what do they do instead? they kill the game with ridiculously boring gameplay, who cares about the bugs; cs 1.6 wouldn't be anywhere near as good without the bugs and things that arnt suppose to be in the game, but in cs:go nothing is right so why are we supporting a game that was rushed just to make money. i think this game should'nt had been accepted period and they should have put more time to make a real future generation fps. 2000 they made a new game, 2012 they made a shittier version of the best game its that simple we cant accept it.

1.6 has more players, many ppl just don't care about cs:go.
I deleted cs:go like one week ago. Still playin pcw's with friends, still havin LOT of fun.
i can't play in cs w/o bhop and double duck, w/o normal maps w/o those tonns of trash, w/o normal flash bangs, w/o normal wallbangs, with m4a1 w/o silencer, with those fuckin Molotov's coctail. omfg.
valve just FAILED , as it was with CS:S.

1.6ers are the dumbest people i have ever met. Stop being so narrow minded and neive and stop thinking about your selves for a minute...I am currently studying B Commerce and B law so im pretty qualifed to make a judgement on this and i can honestly say that the 1.6 reign is over. The indications include all tournaments droping 1.6 pretty much and picking up GO. America, western europe and East Asia and Australia has really taken to the game.

Its so simple, either switch or watch the franchise go down the drain. Simply companies wont sponsor 1.6 tournaments, orgs are leaving and pro players are switching. Follow the indictors and so the more aware and experieced gamers like nip, who obvioulsy are more inteligent. Im implore you to stop and think and what you are doing.........................

I've honestly never seen something so pathetic in my life. The professional side of 1.6 is dead, same for source. They will always be played but not in the major offline events. 1.6 and source will never die in respects to community players. But in terms of pro players and offline events it is. Threads like these just make the 1.6 scene so dam pathetic when it isn't.
