This is for hltv admins.Almost all the posts in the news reel are about Counter Strike:Global Offensive.Even statements of some random players are getting highlighted as headlines.Howcome there are no news posts about Counter-Strike 1.6 events, such as the AEC, even though lurrpis is playing in the event.Allmost all the news are about CS:GO,even on the homepage.I think , in a few days we won't require a game filter.
PS. I don't mean to speak against anyone. Its just that I want to be updated about all the events. Not just in terms of scores and streams. But hltv.org should try to give more and more counter-strike 1.6 news, because the former version needs support. And not to forget, hltv.org is what it is today, because of the popularity of counter-strike 1.6.
Thank You.

LUL, 1.6 would be nothing without HLTV.org.
> Providing free HLTV server for CS1.6,CS:S,CS:Z,Day of Defeat and Day of Defeat for whole globe.
> Top class tournament coverage
> Best POV and demo database
> Detailed Match Stats
> And many more.
And correct words are- CS1.6 is what it is today, because of the support of HLTV.org and its regular players.

And who would watch those demos and streams, if cs 1.6 was not popular? No doubt hltv.org has done a tremendous work in terms of its demos , stats , etc.
2012-09-23 20:33:15
Valve paid....me.
2012-09-23 19:59:09
maybe there is no news coming from AEC. Since lurppis is there and he is a news writer too, what do you think is happening? is that hard to take it logic ?

Its a blessing they dont post any 1.6 news anymore, that game is too 90s. There is a new game which has far more stuff going on.. jesus we even have mobile phones novadays why people keep sticking with this 1.6 game? Probably the same ones whos latest PCs are now cabable of running tetris after overlocking their cpu. ;)
2012-09-23 21:11:19
so mad
2012-09-23 21:16:46
Yes cant you see how mad i am that there are no 1.6 posts, i clearly am all over the rage xD
2012-09-23 21:18:08
tard.
so, football is also played for decades, now you shouldn't stick to it because it's too old?
srsly, fuck your logic idiot hater, cs:noob sucks so bad.

:DD First of all im not an hater, secondly none of my points are nothing but fact. CS:GO has more skilled professional players/teams therefore i wouldnt call some1 a cs:go noob if i were you xD since cs 1.6 has no skill at all. Oh and football, im sure you are one of these Markeloff > C.Ronaldo type of guys anyways :DDDD Comparing football to videogame ;ASDAS;DASD
2012-09-23 21:31:07
so are u saying that bunny hopping, difficult jumps such as red rock(that require months to master them),shooting skills(bursting, tapping, spray patterns),strategies(requiring precision of timing and coordination), grenade tactics, wall banging, etc do not require skill and practice...
I am a 1.6 player and i have CS GO...So far i've seen that the strategies and skills required in 1.6 are far greater than CS GO...Maybe the game is in initial stages...but if it wasn't for money...no player would ever switch to CS GO...

2012-09-23 21:49:07
Nope i am not saying, and i dont remember that i ever did. And there are 20k players daily, who paid them? Oh it was the same goddam valve who killed cs, created nuclear weapons and so on MAN I HATE THOSE GUYS.
2012-09-23 21:52:38
You only said that "since cs 1.6 has no skill at all"...and even i have CS GO....so that makes me a player on steam stats...since i purchased it and play it for like once a week, for fun...that doesn't mean i switched to CS: GO...i am still a CS 1.6 player...
2012-09-23 21:59:30
Thats good for you :D I used to be too
There are only left players with less than 3 years or so experience in 1.6, guys who have been playing longer have switched to GO, some simply stopped due to decreasing competition.
Average level of gaming is higher than in 1.6 or CSS and that has nothing to do with the game itself, only players who are playing it.
Talking about majority vs minority. No need to stick in to words

You meant the 1.6 teams who usually top on the national scenes and compete in the international level, are the ones who make the switch to pursue the fresh prize pools of GO. The rest still play 1.6, due to them not having anything to do with the international scene.

Go play Tetris for 10 years, then be a champion in 1.6. True story.

CS 1.6 = 50k players daily, so the 20k stats is not on your side
2012-10-03 14:23:54
Yeah they arent on my side, yet. Numerous LAN events, competition overall is.
2012-10-03 14:25:39
money (Valve) is on your side, that's the only good thing about GO. money, not skill
i don't actually care about the LANs etc. I'm not even a part of the top level of my country, so those LANs mean nothing to me. I play 1.6 the same way i played it before GO was released.
btw, there's still a lot of competition, you just have to find it on the right places. and 1.6 top players are moving to GO because they got tired of getting owned by fnatic and navi, so they moved to an easier game

Ignore the troll, seriously.

2012-09-24 20:10:12
You can ignore me? Simply stop stalking and replying me :DD And if i were troll, you would be probably the dumbest person i ever met with feeding me daily and yet knowing myself troll :D And nope im not a troll so you have some hope of not being totally braindead xDD
2012-09-24 22:39:07
Go on. I have all the day :3
2012-09-24 22:43:18
btw its a false statement to say that no player would ever switch to CSGO since in the latest cadred.org interview with GeT_RiGhT he states that he just enjoys playing cs:go more than 1.6 since he thinks 1.6 has gotten boring.
2012-09-24 23:05:28
too bad GeT_RiGhT started getting owned by fnatic in 1.6. if you can't kill a guy, ofc the game will start getting boring.
in NiP, the best in in GO so far, he likes the game because he can kill and do some actions against opponents with less skill than the others he faced in 1.6
TL:DR- GeT_RiGhT is just a whiney bitch

not gonna argue with u since u've got the arguments of a 9 year old.
2012-10-03 15:04:26
back in 2009, when fnatic were dominating, gtr was "i feel so good in fnatic"
in 2010 when navi started winning everything, he was like "fnatic was not the best place for me" and all that shit, and moved to SK
when SK were in a 3-month winning streak, he was like "i feel so motivated to play 1.6!"
SK started losing, and he was already like "1.6 is not what it used to be". moved to GO
on GO, he is in the best team, he says "GO is better than 1.6"
i feel some kind of deja-vu here. when he starts to lose, "GO is not the game he was looking for"

Are you retarded or something? I just took football as an example. I could take anything else for it too. Stupid idiot. CS:GO for sure hasn't got more skilled players and 1.6 requires minimum 80% of skill more than CS:GO. Everyone who can play 1.6, can play GO easy as fuck. Since 1.6 is a lot harder to play, logic?
2012-09-24 19:02:08
"Average level of gaming is higher than in 1.6 or CSS and that has nothing to do with the game itself, only players who are playing it." You either get it or not
2012-09-24 19:19:58
That is false, either you get it, or not.
2012-09-24 19:31:47
I'd put you in the category: "never played cs:go but knows this game better"
2012-09-24 22:48:35
Wtf are you retarded? I've played CS:GO and I own it. Total idiot detected.
2012-10-03 14:11:00
Well, the one calling other people retarded is the one that is reatarded, and before talking again measure your words.

Probably because CSGO has been getting sunshine lately. And there is alot of news. It's not rocket science.
2012-09-23 21:18:54
i agree, im missing 1.5, and 1.3 news as well!
oh wait.....
oh wait.....
2012-09-23 21:22:22
Yeah? Now you remember that the games had been updated to 1.6?
2012-09-23 21:35:43
It's not like we're avoiding news concerning CS 1.6... there's just not as much to write about these days.
hltv.org is what it is today, because of the popularity of counter-strike 1.6.
Why yes, the hard work everyone has put into this website hasn't played any role whatsoever.

Sir...i am well aware that you guys do a lot of unspoken hard work behind the scene to put up such a wonderful website. No doubt in that area. But i think you should write about whatever little CS1.6 tournaments are there.Infact i take back my aforementioned sentence and apologise for that but whwnever someone asks me about how to view professional counter-strike 1.6 demos and strats, i suggest them hltv.org.The truth is that , A majority of users STARTED using this site to know about 1.6 not CS GO.
2012-09-23 21:55:15
None taken.
Yes, and I acknowledge that a lot of people started visiting HLTV.org for Counter-Strike 1.6. You have to consider that CS:GO was not around then and titles like Source couldn't really put up much against CS 1.6. However sad some might find it, the times have changed now and CS 1.6 is not as prominent as it used to be. If we ignored CS:GO and stuck purely to CS 1.6, we'd be dead within a good year.
I understand you want news about CS 1.6. We don't plan to drop it. We will when there's absolutely nothing to write about. The game holds a special place in every crew members' heart as well as your own, so it's not just something we're going to rid ourselves with after a couple of weeks. You'll get your news whenever there is news to convey to the readers, I promise.

Ofc...i fully agree. I mean if CS:GO doesn't work, that might be the end of fps games, with no future 1.6 tournaments and sponsers pulling out. But i think there might be a way where both the games could co-exist.
Anyways thanks for your support.Keep up the good work... :)

Lurppis had a tight schedule and he might be sleeping right now. I'm sure once he come back online he'll update everyone about the event.
Cheers
Cheers

i really hope so...
2012-09-23 23:04:11
Oh god, why do you feed the trolls?
2012-09-24 22:50:53
1.6 isn't dead.
2012-09-24 23:09:19
we post news, we don't selectively choose what to write about.
So whatever is current on the day is what gets posted. If it seems like there is more CS:GO news, that's because there is more CS:GO events at the moment.
As for AEC, Lurppis was there as a player, not a writer. If we asked him to sacrifice his time to write instead of prepare for matches, he would of sacrificed his game, and that is not fair on him or his sponsors.

face it, hltv.org is now a cs.go site!
2012-10-03 14:37:37
sadly
2012-10-03 15:01:24
There aren't news about 1.6 anymore, besides the ones of teams disbanding and players retiring, sad but true.
