mm that 5HS was awesome, but i think SpawN almost ninja defuse was really amazing, or NEO 1 vs 3 inferno b whit bomb planted, he kills 2, and the last one he kills it through the wall and defuse just in time, i dont rememeber the match or the tournament, just that

Good positioning would help, but not in this clutch. Neo was at a disadvantageous position. The Ts could've just gangbanged him from 2 directions and furthermore, they'd already had the time to prepare and coordinate such action right after the first guy got killed.

On your second point: I still think that its always a failure by the team against the single player. Worst case for the team : 2on1. The easiest way would be to just peak the enemy at the same time, he may kill one but the other one has to kill him instantly after. Theres actually nothing the solo player could do.

It will go that way assuming that the position of the solo player is already known, and the player's surroundings limit his action to nothing but moving forward without covers/walls/boxes/ladders/trains/etc (exactly like this clutch of Neo's, which was why I categorized it as a bad clutch).

Otherwise, for instance, when the solo player's position is yet to be known till right before the player starts to take an offensive action, and or he has multiple boxes to be used for him to go 'Messi' on the foes, they will have a hard time coordinating themselves.

but still, if the solo player's position is unknown, he will show it by potentially killing the first enemy. Then the remaining player(s) has/have the advantage knowing where he is.
The easiest way to win such a situation is by simply creating a crossfire.

EDIT: I only refer to afterplant situations!! Shouldve said that earlier probably :D

Well, it's not always the case that the firstly killed enemy is being alone and the others are far away behind safe positions, right? Not even most of the time they have the time to react and re-coordinate. And you haven't even taken into account the previously mentioned possibility that the clutch player is going to have useful environments around him..

The key is whether the solo player has the right position, right timing, right grenades (if there's any), and ultimately the right aim. If he lacks one of these, it's better for him to save.

I did not take these into account because then I had to consider the bomb aswell, which is a clear advantage of the terrorists.

What I basically meant is that there is always a way to win these clutch situations for the team.

Yeah, but when the guy starts defusing, the Ts are coming out, hence the opportunities to clutch, right? Ah, you're referring to the Ts' positions being crossfire. But, what if the circumstances won't allow them to make a crossfire formation? What if they've succeeded in making the crossfire formation, but CT stands behind boxes that blocks/reduces the involvement of the other T in the battle? There are reasons why de_inferno is a better map than de_dust2 in term of clutching possibilities. Expand your imagination a bit.. Because yours is stucked at '1 mTw guy big sand-1 Neo middle-1 mTw guy A site'..

I know what you're trying to say. But, assuming that the CT is already near them, I highly doubt that the T/Ts would run/jump from one cover to another like monkeys in order to form the favorable crossfire formation..

The team don't plays bad, instead of that the team plays normal and try to kill that solo player, but that "solo" player is so focused in winning that round for her team that he plays his best, imo it's that.

Not if those 2 have 1hp each. Anyway, theory assuming that all players have same level of skill. But even so if played right then you can seperate 2vs1 sitation into two 1vs1 situations. Same as with any other clutch situation.
