Valve: The biggest troll ever - CS:GO
"According to some people, 1 or 2 things i mentioned have been fixed, but i don't really care, doesn't matter how many little bugs or changes they make. The game ISN'T counter-strike. The game failed miserly, and the only reason why it's active competitively its because the players have no choice.
They could have made history, and made FPS as big as LoL or SC. The CS 1.6 players would moved to CS:GO, CSS players would move to CS:GO, probably even some COD/BF players (already happened, with the game as it is), everyone would be happy and the game would grow, but no, they try to revolutionize everything, and they fail, they didn't learn anything from CSS.
If you like CS:GO, play CS:GO, i don't care.
I don't hate the game itself, I just hate that it's representing the name counter-strike when it's everything expect counter-strike, they failed what they promised to deliver, and that's what this video is about."

I am a 1.6 Player, but i bought CS:GO. At first i thought: "WTF this game will NEVER be good". Now i played a couple of matches, realized the recoil diffrents (it's just the screen, which doesn't move while shoot, so the screenfeedback is just missing) and also know the head high of the models. And when you got THIS (took me only 30hours of cs:go) the game will be fun. Give it a chance and play it. And dont start the game with "OMG this game sucks but lets play, its crap anyway."
For me they just need some less changes and the game is more than perfect. (1.Screen feedback at recoil) 2.Remove Stamina 3.Clean the maps a bit. Even the feedback is not needed^^ you just need to aim then everything is perfect ;)

dude, the community needs a better game than CSGO right now. just look at the stats, GO is not even top 10, it has less players than some single player games. that is the worse that could happen to a CS title, something is wrong and it needs to change.

There is nothing wrong with cts having new pistol, silencers are already promised to be added in future, there is no valid reason to remove gray, recoil isn`t broken, but it have been reworked and its mechanics changed. Bhop is possible anyway, but russian walk was never good example and banned in many leagues of cs 1.6.
P90 will be probably tweaked in future.

It is, in my opinion, the lack of movement and freedom that 1.6 (1.5, 1.4, 1.3. 1.1 and so on) had.

Hi all, I didn't read all the coments but as a 1.6 player for years and after playing go for a week I can now compare the games in my point of view.
First off all I can tell that the movement is very diferent and the jump feels like i'm a canguru, second the recoil or the shooting wtv you like to call it it's alot diferent and i'm gonna focus this point, I think that on 1.6 you have to learn how to shoot and control recoil so that you can make a perfect and accurate spray, on GO well I figured out that I can't spray more than 2s else even making a good spray it feels that all the bullets pass over them and by doing the taping shoot on GO it's alot more easy to kill and to control so my conclusion is that on GO the shooting is alot more easy, atleast in my opinion.
Third point, well the maps just... ok we can adapt but that train :p
And finaly the sound, it feels like even with gaming headphones I can't hear as good on 1.6, for example the AK everyone knows that has that powerful shots and it's distinguishable, don't know if it's more loud or not on 1.6 but I think it's diferent.
Ofc all of this is an habbit cause playing 1.6 for years creates that habbit but if they can resolve those points in my opinion Go it would become the game for another 12 years or more.

All I have seen by now was a low tier GameGune and a ESWC that will feature only 10 teams, lowest number of teams ever, on a ESWC CS tournament, also featuring the lowest prizes ever given to a CS game on the history of ESWC, and if you count WCG even CZ and CSS had better prizes... so what? Dota 2, their most successful game, is a direct port of the original game. Maybe they should learn from that. I've never played 1.6 or Source though.
