are there people who have experience with lol and can give kind of a guide how to win 1v1 against my friend? i just played one against him, i had volibear and he had katharina and he always pulled all my hp in 3 seconds.
soo, maybe can you tell which champ is good for 1v1, how should i play that champ and overall how to play 1v1.

maybe you are low lvl and he is lvl 30 already, and he had runes and all masteries who helps a lot, if it is like this, you have no chance :b most practice first and win XP !

attack damage champions, ad carries are characters like katarina, well she can be an AD carry, carry as in they are very overpowered and can carry alot of damage to dish out, sort of like carrying a team.

You have 3 different tiers of runes.
If you are 20+ you have tier 3 runes, And I don't know about the rest but I know that they give you an early game advantage, or stuff like +2 extra hp per level, 0.56 attack damage per rune.. etc.

With IP's (rewards in the end of game) or RP's (bought) u can get runes, from the store that give you a early advantage. There are a lot of types of runes for each role that exists in LOL(support, ad carry, ap carry, tank, jungler) so basically if you are an ap carry(deals damage with abilities) you need to get AP (Ability Power) + MR (Magic Resist) + MP (Magic Penetration), with these u deal more damage early game.
Tipically users get runes and build 2 rune pages an ad page and an ap page. More pages can be bought in the store.
Plus there are masteries. Masteries are rewarded for each level u get on LOL. If your lvl 3 you only have 3 mastery points, and completly useless imo, to start to make some mastery pages. Till lvl 20 or so. At lvl 30 u have the max of masteries u can get and each champion reacts different to a different set of masteries.

Runes are one of the most important aspects of the game. It helps you go through the early/mid game and gives you more damage or more defensive stats.

Farm some IP and when you reach lvl 20 you should be able to buy some standard AD and AP runes. Only buy tier3 runes, any other runes are a waste of IP's. When you get to 30 then you can start to buy some specific runes based on your position. I play jungle most of the times so I have all the runes I need to jungle properly based on the chars and so on.

vs. katarina take someone who have cc - so then you can stop her ulti...90% offtanks counter her to be honest :)

Well armor is more to defend against AD carrys/Melees and shit like that and Magic Resist is good to take less damage from AP Carrys.

well some champions can make both things. for example in ezreal you can play him ad or ap altough he is much better ad imo. i dont think you can play katarina ad though, its pretty useless i think so i think he just made a mistake typing.

Master Jayce and everything will be fine, use range to poke her a lot with e+q combo but when she will cast her ulti change to hammer dash her with q then e. Jayce isn't easy to play but you're able to do many things with him.

To counter kata (ability power champ) just buy Magic Resist and some sustain like 2/3 dorans blade + vampiric scepter.

Vs attack damage champs buy ninja tabi boots also with sustain and maybe frozen heart

Mordekaiser is a good counter, and Galio too, Galio can counter almost every champ.

LeBlanc is good too because you have alot of burst damage and you can have up to 3 flashes to escape Kata's ulti. Or even Ahri with her E on Kata's ulti and Veigar with his stun plus W on her ulti, not to mention he has the biggest burst damage in the game.

I'm so frustrated right now... I wrote a huge wall of text explain the caracteristics of those champions and which one you should chose and why and then my internet went down and everything was gone. fuck!

Long story short I would choose Ziggs even thought Ziggs isn't even a counter to Katarina, (but that doesn't mean you can't win against Katarina, for example some games back I was with Annie and I totally destroyed Katarina) he has some low mana abilities, his Q is good to poke her and his E is nice to crowd control (kill minions, slow Kata, etc...), his ulti has a really long range and he can escape some hard situations with his W.

You're probably wonder why I haven't choose Katarina, because if your friend is already playing with her and by your talks you are unexperienced... so your friend is probably better and would win if there is a Katarina vs Katarina match.
