Croatian 16-year old boy named Halilovic already drew attention from big clubs such as Real M. (He already started training in their camp), Man. Utd and Man. City. I heard these rumors before, but I saw many titles such as "New Messi", "New Ronaldinho", "New Ronaldo" and so on, but after seeing him playing against PSG for only couple of minutes I tried to find more of his videos and I concluded this guy is really something. His ball-control is really similar to Messi's and he scored some goals which are truly Messi-like. Here are some examples of him playing in senior and junior matches. Club manager wants 12 million euros for him, but right now those clubs think it's too much since he is only 16-years old and the maximum price they can give is 10 million euros, and even though City is ready to give those kind of money it looks like he doesn't want to leave yet.

Next time we'll probably see him playing more for Dinamo Zagreb since they are most likely already out of CL. What do you think, is it possible that this guy will stop Messi's and Ronaldo domination as two best players in the world in a couple of years, or is it too soon to make such judgement yet?

:)) Glad to hear.
2012-10-26 13:52:47
"is it possible that this guy will stop Messi's and Ronaldo domination" he's only 16 so, no.
2012-10-26 13:54:50
"or is it too soon to make such judgement yet"? this is probably thought of majority but I just wanted to conclude with this question. Probably it's not going to happen, but you understand... Like this it is bigger hype. However, I'd like to see him in Barcelona in few years.
2012-10-26 14:01:30
Energy94 even if he reaches Ronaldo and Messi's level /which I doubt, this 2 are above all) he probably will only do that with atleast 22 years old, now do the maths and see how old would Ronaldo and Messi be with that kid in that age I mentioned, they won't be at top form.
2012-10-26 17:19:48
in a couple of years he asked
2012-10-27 21:20:07
what I was saying is, that in a couple of years, ronaldo and messi won't be as good as they are atm, so you won't be able to compare, also, I don't think we can predict the futur of that young player, it's too early.
2012-10-27 22:14:13
ah like that, yeah true. and true on the last bit aswell, though I think he will make it if he makes the transfer in time.
2012-10-27 22:49:51
Playing against 16-year-old kiddos even I would be claimed the next Ronaldo! Not saying that the boy plays bad, 'cause he doesn't, he's really good. Just saying that he needs to be tested when the time comes, with REAL players
2012-10-26 13:59:41
Well he was tested, kind of. His match against PSG was the 1st time I actually saw him playing, and he played like he didn't know who were actually his opponents. Kid has talent and that was my point.
2012-10-26 14:05:38
Yeah, kid has the talent, but sometimes talent isn't the only thing
2012-10-26 14:08:27
I think that he has to join Barcelona if he wants to become one of the best players in the world since our school is the best there is.
2012-10-26 14:12:09
If he's good enough to pass Barcelona's youth system program. Then maybe he will be made into a decent football player
2012-10-26 14:19:31
+
I remeber when Ronaldo was in Sporting's school formation and he said: "If you think I'm a good player, wait until you watch Fábio Paim." That Fábio Paim was better than Ronaldo, but he didn't made it, because his head was full of shit, just like alot of players out there, they maybe got the talent, and alot of it, but their head isn't the right one to combo with their feet.

This.

"New Ronaldinho", r u kidding me? ha
2012-10-26 14:00:34
new ronaldinho and new ronaldo definetly not, cause his playing style is more similar to messi, but I see he is not as fast as messi with the ball, but then again he is only 16 years old and judging by his body developtment he will still grow and become faster & stronger... till then lets just wait and see :)

My brother be bether than him :DDD
2012-10-26 14:14:32
Acctually he is Bosnian.
And Cro's want him to play for them, and our alliance didn't do anything about that yet. So he will decide for which country he will play. Ofc direktor of Dinamo will give him much money to play for them, and i think Cro's are in lead for that young player. Balkan is a part of the world, in which money means everything, that's really expressed here, unfortunately.
Btw. We have Dzeko so :D

He will play for Croatia only because we have stupid people in our football Association.
money,money,money..
money,money,money..
2012-10-26 14:23:43
In that area "Ex-Yu" contries in my opinion everything is really fucked up. You just don't know who is who actually because one person is related with several countries and I think that's that reason why such things happen, not the money. I know several players from Croatia who has Bosnian descent.I know you have basketball trainer who is Croatian (Aco Petrovic and his assistent can't remember his name but I know he won a lot of trophies while he coached Yugoslavia/Croatia in basketball). However, unfortunately, it seems Bosnia&Herzegovina is the most damaged here.
2012-10-26 14:27:35
We had 15 years idiots in our alliance, now the legend of Ex-YU football "Safet Susic" who has been named for best player of France championship in last 100 years, he's now coach of national team, so things are getting better now, we have good team and i hope we will finally see a light, because we were in darkness for so many time, in football and everything.
2012-10-26 14:41:23
I remember that crappy penalty which France had in Euro qualifiers, when you should go directly because fault was obviously out of 16. I wish you all luck, because judging by your performance against Greece in first game I think you will be 1st in your group this time.
2012-10-26 14:44:14
I hope so, thank you.
btw. Here our media, and ppl weren't satisfied with our play in Greece, but we have good players and with a little bit of luck, we made draw. And we won against Lithuania,Latvia and Lithenstein easily so i think it's our time to do something in football world :)

2012-10-26 14:48:27
Only his lastname relates him with Bosnia. He lives in Croatia, he was born in Croatia, he played for Croatia national team in youth categories, he plays for Croatian team, his mother is Croatian, his father played for both Croatian and Bosnian national team. I think that's enough to conclude that he is Croatian, just like Ibrahimovic is Swedish. If he is bad player I bet this discussion wouldn't be even made, you'd say yourself he is Croatia.
2012-10-26 14:34:33
Ok, I wont arrgue, he will decide, but you know that when father is from one country, he should play for that country. It's his patrimony, but yes, if he was born in Cro, and want to play fro Cro nobody can stop him. And dude Mamic will give him anything just to play in CRO. He want to ppl celebrate him if this kid succed in his career
2012-10-26 14:45:16
Just like this guy said everything here is fucked up. Majority is related with several countries. For example, me. I was born in Croatia, spent 5 years there and then went to BiH where I lived for 12 years, and since then I moved again to Croatia. I personally declare myself as Croatian, because of my nationality but I'm very related to BiH too, so I don't have anything against if he choose to play for BiH, but in my opinion he is Croatian. By the way, Mamic is an idiot.
2012-10-26 14:53:03
Neither do I. Mamic is idiot with a lot of money i know that :D
It's like 75% that he will play for CRo, and 15% BiH, but i don't mind. I didn't see him playing, a lot of ppl told me that he is great, talented etc. But we'll see in few years. I'm sure that you didn't know that in Zeljo, managers and others told Dzeko that he is a bad player and that he don't know anything about football and look at him now :D

You know that a guy will be great player when he isn't good enough for Croatian/Bosnian club :D.
2012-10-26 15:04:34
hahah in this story thats damn right xD
2012-10-26 15:08:51
I know a guy who never got a chance to play for Zrinjski youth team and now he got invitation from one of the best colleges in basketball where he is star of their team. In 1st season he scored 20.8 points per game had 10 rebounds per game.
2012-10-26 15:12:16
Thats it, our(Balkans) associations dont see it. There are many examples in basketball and football. I am really glad that Aco Petrovic is now a head coach of BiH national team because he was good player, and he know where to look good players, and when he sees one he contact him just like Susic do in football. Honestly I am pleased with those two ppl
2012-10-26 15:24:40
Petrovic, Repesa, Spahija and Novosel are trainers which I wanted to see in Croatian basketball team, but you were fortunate to have two of them in your team. With players like Teletovic, Wright and and Dedovic results won't be problem for your country. Whenever Novosel was part of some team he never got back without at least 3rd place and I hope tradition won't break now.

Actually this guy is really dominant in U-17 national team, there's no better than him in this age at this moment. Avoid these movies, because there is alot more than it is in those movies.
2012-10-26 14:37:35
agree
2012-10-27 12:26:47
normal player ... '-'
2012-10-26 14:31:15
does he even lift ?
2012-10-26 14:34:09
football started to be shit after 2005
2012-10-26 14:51:53
whrs arsense wenger..?
2012-10-26 15:05:30
I heard he eyes his younger brother ('98).
2012-10-26 15:07:52
i dont think so, always, when a young boy plays like a crack, with the time is forget for us... Pele, Maradona, Zidane, Figo,Ronaldinho, Messi, C.Ronaldo, Ronaldo, Marcelo Salas, Ivan Zamorano, was the best players in the world... when they are profesionals,
2012-10-26 15:12:31
That won't happen with this guy.
2012-10-26 15:13:49
this is normal in Brazil
2012-10-26 15:30:28
We'll see when Croatia play against Brasil if it is really normal because this kid is dominating at this age.
2012-10-26 15:35:16
you actually think you got a chance?
2012-10-26 17:24:54
ofc we do. we can win against anyone.
2012-10-27 10:18:49
ahahah
2012-10-27 16:19:26
ATM Brasil is shit, honestly. There are several better European teams right now and we made great results against them, we were just very unfortunate to go through.
Euro 2008 - quarter-final against turkey if you remember
Euro 2012 - Wolfgang Stark is everything I have to say
Furthermore we are better placed on FIFA ranking and it means that we actually have a chance. Just saying if we could play like we played against Italy, Spain and Germany like we played we can surely win against anyone.

stop comparing every new talent to famous people , he will never be "new messi/ronaldo/ronaldinho/who the fuck you want" , he will always be himself :D:D
messi/bojan etc at his age were already in barcelona's first team as rezerves...so i doubt he will come out soo quickly from his state , it's probably gonna take him more time , and it's gonna be too late at that point

bojan krkc? overrated.
2012-10-26 17:25:22
600 goals in his juvenile career isnt overrated , and he is quite a good player , and everyone knows this , he just didnt have space for his full potential
2012-10-26 17:26:46
who cares about juvenile career dude? There are alot of players that score even more goals but when they go senior/pro they suck.
Why you say he didn't have space for his full potential??
Why you say he didn't have space for his full potential??
2012-10-26 17:33:19
1 thing is to score 600 goals in the spanish juvenile league with other juveniles from real madrid , valencia , sevilla + international matches vs juveniles like arsenal and other good teams.
and one thing is to score 600 goals in some shitty league full of randoms like neymar is doing in brazil and they are comparing him to messi.
and one thing is to score 600 goals in some shitty league full of randoms like neymar is doing in brazil and they are comparing him to messi.
2012-10-26 17:35:25
Well, it's still in the juvenile years. It's pretty random anyway.
2012-10-26 17:39:12
it aint really that random in spain where 80% of the players end up in 1st and 2nd division + other countries like england/france to play as 18+ , and 2nd division teams in spain are even better than croatian 1st teams...so thats what i wanted to say
2012-10-26 17:40:51
lol 2nd division spanish teams aren't better (atleast the majority) than croatian teams.
2012-10-26 17:43:57
Dinamo Zagreb is 2 consecutive years in CL and it means sth..
2012-10-27 17:01:51
and? Dynamo Zagred won how many games this year in CL? lool
2012-10-27 17:42:39
well porto, psg are level above definitely, but saying 2nd teams from Spanish league would win against Dinamo is absurd. Dinamo Zagreb is team which produced a lot of talented players and usually when someone is good Dinamo sells him to some bigger club in one of those 5 big leagues. I guess financies are everything for them. Unlike those teams Dinamo has almost all players from Croatia.
2012-10-27 17:58:18
they were in cl cause they won their respective league , so they had a spot , if some 2nd division team from spain would come in your country's 1st division they would go in CL too ...
2012-10-27 22:02:37
in order to play in CL Croatian team has to pass several qualification stages in which some Spanish, English and Italian teams from 1st division failed to qualify.
2012-10-28 08:56:58
Actually Bojan is extremely overrated, he made professional career just because impressive juvenile career.
2012-10-26 18:22:19
Maybe you should read topic.
2012-10-28 20:47:46
This kid is good, but you just can`t say now how the thing will go. Great example is Bojan Krkic. I`m personally more impressed by 18 years old Lazar Markovic from Partizan Belgrade, he was amazing against Inter yesterday.
2012-10-26 18:25:25
I play from Benfica "JUNIORES" 17 years old.
And i play vs him in summer tornement, he has a good skill.
but he just play vs kids

2012-10-27 12:07:10
everybody can be messi lol if u got barca that carrys
2012-10-27 12:30:49
everybody can be messi? Ok, like your name says you're troller, or dont't know anything about football.
2012-10-27 13:37:07
So i offended you lil messi fan?
2012-10-27 16:23:49
Messi fan? Oh yes, he's the best player in the world by FIFA because he sucks. Seems legit.
2012-10-27 20:15:45
ofc he is if u got barca behind ur back, giving best passes, that all he has to do is score
2012-10-27 20:51:13
Oh my god, are you fuckin retard? No one has his dribble, his talent is huge, anyone can control the ball like him. So think, maybe Barça needs him to be the best team in the world, not only Iniesta, Xavi, Fabregas (...)
2012-10-27 21:04:25
no, you can put there every single top class attacker and he will do the same work
2012-10-27 21:06:27
If you come to Brazil you'll see this is absolutely normal here.
2012-10-27 18:04:26
I don't give a shit about Brasil.
2012-10-27 18:23:01
because you're idiot.
2012-10-27 21:21:42
listen, brasilian domination in football stopped after they lost players like ronaldinho, ronaldo, carlos and so on. after that, they were/are top10.
2012-10-28 08:54:38
hahahah nice joke men
you said that, but remember you're croatian... you don't know anything of futbol

He's good, but i don't see why all the hype about him, haven't seen any good dribbling yet, he has a good vision, but a lot of players do, i think that he's just famous coz croatians are that good in football.

2012-10-28 11:00:19
If managers, fathers, family and club take care of that guy (like Barça did with Messi), Im pretty sure he will get same level as Messi, Ronaldo, etc
2012-10-28 19:54:41
Another Messi? HAHAHA no..
2012-10-28 20:40:25
Even Lionel Messi did not appear as head-and-shoulders above everyone else at the same age, nor did he score such a wide range of goals; undergoing growth hormone treatment left him feeling weak and lacking in the leg strength to shoot from long distance; this is a skill he only developed more gradually over time.
In fact its difficult to think of any player with such an accurate strike and ability to score from distance as Halilovic at this age. The absence of step-overs and show-boating is also impressive; aside from the odd nutmegs Halilovic keeps it simple and direct
