Well if you look in the swedish CS:GO scene the 1.6 players dominate the CSS players.

Just look at the big tournament fragbite and steelseries had this weekend. 32 teams, 8 invited, teams like aimbat wasen't invited.

In top 8, 7 1.6 teams/mix's finished and just 1 CSS team.

Top 4: Just 1.6 teams.

Every game can be and not only CS's imo which require more or less skills.
I've just see a lot of hate most likely from 1.6-ers when I read threads/blogs here or other gaming forums...that 1.6 is best, require the most skills or we are the pro's, etc...towards bashing different games and not only CS:GO in the fps category.

I like 1.6 community and the game + have a lot of good person here, dont take me wrong, but this is just ridicoluous when someone opens a blog/thread how they hate cs:go or cs:s saying they have less more skillfull players and underestimate others.

Just an example, I switched from 1.6 to Painkiller nowadays to test myself on multis...well I started 1.6 in 2001 so Im able to call myself good I think, but in Painkiller...even If I played a lot of Quake and UT years back, I usualy end up with negative K/D ratio.

I hope VG crush NiP or put up a tight match at least. Sry for bad english.

I think verygames will win this because this game is css alike, but after 2/3 tournaments f0rest and GTR will dominate the movement and know all css skills and nobody will beat them because they are monsters in every game after a while.

I'm not a VG fan but @ all sauce haters :

- VG had no challenge @ CSS, with CSGO they will have to improve them self and work to challenge best teams.

- They had to finish some CSS tournament, so they did not play of lot @ csgo, instead Get_Life was nolifing @ CSGO

- VG are not 100% pro, some have studies etc.. again instead of NiP players who can play much more.

So the acutal score is normal, but just wait 5-6 month, and then we will see what they can show.

I do own a copy and I know that CS:GO is using the Source engine and is more like CSS rather than CS. You can not deny that VeryGames had the odds on their side. If not.. well would be wonderful to see them playing the original Counter-Strike against NiP.

No, they didnt since they played less than NIP. To win a tournament like this you just need to pracc the hard as you can and you can win since its a new game. Im a source player and i can say there is no advantage in GO for css players because the game feels so much different and the aiming is totally different.

I've been playing Source too.. well.. not that much, but still I can say that it is more likely to Source, rather than CS, even if it is not pretty much the same, but I mean the maps, sound, the Source graphic, which is real deal, I mean do not underestimate that and even the AWP, really, I can not find difference between Source and GO AWP, except the blur effect, since I do not remember Source having that.
