we had some decent teams even before poland (teg, eq) and igg after. not even close as good, but we had results in dota and fifa (2 wcgs)

usually you were able to watch it smoothly by lowering cmdrate and updaterate, however they "fixed" it with one of the latest patches and cmdrate/updaterate are now forced by gotv and you can not alter them anymore. :(

What are the rules of this tournament? If ESC wins this match that means 3 way tie between Navi, n!faculty and ESC. Which 2 teams would make out of the group then?

once ESC beat NaVi 16-8, then NaVi took them down 16-9 and now draw, both teams are equal and sick matches as in CS 1.6, true 1.6 legends
I enjoyed this matchup very much; 15:15 is an appropriate outcome aswell. I never thought CS:GO would even come close to the viewing experience of CS 1.6, but with this tournament I have to say it feels similar. Both the ESC vs. n!faculty and ESC vs. Na�Vi matches had me for the first time in CS:GO really excited about single rounds, and I'm even more excited for the great matchups and things to come (VERYGAMES' fight through the expanded group stage, Anexis' display of great improvement, n!faculty's further development in this tournament, Na�Vi's chances of going very far, ESC's LAN performance picking up, the teams in the second group stage like Nostalgia and 3DMAX could gain some momentum and start fighting themselves up aswell, maybe even NiP's dominance being scratched at in the later stages of this tournament).
The casting is solid aswell - inviting THREAT was a great move, although I would like to see his tactical perspective being utilized a bit more and also it wouldn't hurt to get some of that Joe Millerish level of excitement into the play-by-play casting, as this really shows the importance of certain perfomances in certain rounds and doesn't leave the games feeling as grey and static. But maybe this will come naturally as the matches get more important.
It will be interesting to see the first big events with crowds happen for CS:GO and to see just how much potential there is for this game compared to 1.6 as events with live audiences are really where it's at for CS.
/edit: Oh well, n!faculty appears to have been kicked out from the tournament. What a shame. Would have rather seen them go through than TeamCRG, but CRG's players had some promising actions, they may not be that much of a freewin for their opponents in the second group stage afterall.
