Virtus.pro slam players
Time: 2013-07-18 19:53
Game: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Virtus.pro have issued a statement reminding that the members of their CS:GO squad are still tied to the organisation.

Earlier on Thursday, Virtus.pro formally announced that they had closed down their CS:GO division, revealing that the players "were not fulfilling their obligations" towards the organisation.

It was also stated that Virtus.pro were considering sanctions for the players, who are legally bound to the organisation until the end of the year.

In a new statement, Virtus.pro have now accused the players of trying to "blackmail" the organisation with "unsatisfying conditions" only to play in a new team with Yegor "markeloff" Markelov, who has departed Natus Vincere.

"We are waiting for Virtus.pro and Na´Vi organisations to further comment on this matter," Virtus.pro wrote on their website.

"We want to stress the fact that VP's players have signed their contracts until the end of the year and now they are leaving autocratically, blackmailing us with unsatisfying conditions.

"Considering not only their misbehavior and devil-may-care attitude, but also potential involvement of a Na`Vi player in a newly-built roster, we decided not to take part in this inadmissible dialogue which led to team’s dismissal.

"At this moment, we can see that these players, who have been provided with paid LAN trips for the whole year and a modern training center with all needed help, have left the project for a few hundred dollars just because they want to play with Yegor Markelov."

Stay tuned to HLTV.org for further developments about this case.

2013-07-18 19:58:57
Not when they sign a contract.
2013-07-18 20:03:50
It would be so fun if now virtus pro keeps going to lans but just trolls around with shotguns and stuff ...

And just using those paid lan trips to go get drunk all around europe lol
2013-07-18 20:41:51
Yeah that would definately be fun, and a tremendous lack of professionalism.
2013-07-18 21:30:27
yeh but I find it really stupid when gaming orgs trying to force contracts and being so ''professional'' in video games... when with just 2 clicks of the mouse button you can play mix matches with your friends online, as we can see sometimes on top players's streams that they mix with other players from other teams... and orgs are kinda trying to make players play with just your team with contracts and shits which kinda doesn't fit into the esport world tbh...
2013-07-18 23:30:02
"At this moment, we can see that these players, who have been provided with paid LAN trips for the whole year and a modern training center with all needed help, have left the project for a few hundred dollars just because they want to play with Yegor Markelov."

This drama will continue..
2013-07-18 20:01:47
Why would they be unable to leave and play with Markeloff if their team was shut down?
2013-07-18 20:02:02
they are still under contract :)
2013-07-18 20:38:21
Hmm. So the organisation is not gonna support them but just prevent them from playing in another team until the contract expires?
2013-07-18 20:50:48
I think they can, but I'm not sure about what I will write to you, I heard VP organisation shuted down the cs go team because the players wanted to leave it to play with markeloff, even when they had full support, all payed lans etc...

The Soap Opera in four acts with a prologue: "CS:GO SCENE".
2013-07-18 20:04:30
I dont understand these players. VP its one of the best organizations out there, and they want to leave.
Only fnatic can do the same.
2013-07-18 20:05:02
they dont want to leave they want to change their roster but organisation dont want this so they are pissed of and decided to shut them down
2013-07-18 20:42:38
popcorn pls :)
2013-07-18 20:05:39
What else?
2013-07-18 20:46:44
The further trouble is disgusting.
2013-07-18 20:06:04
I ams ure that the VP players will say that their org did not live up to the contract either and therefor VP has no claims on them and the contract is void.
2013-07-18 20:06:17
Good call lol
2013-07-18 21:36:43
lol see I was right....its the same story EVERY time
2013-07-18 22:28:59
i wouldent trust a russian
2013-07-18 20:06:32
Forgive them. they r only "russians". What did you expect?
2013-07-18 20:12:39
*grabs popcorn*

Let the drama continue!
2013-07-18 20:06:44
Seems like VP players just wanted to kick Guardian and add markeloff, but it didn't worked out like that..
2013-07-18 20:07:43
yeah, like that.
2013-07-18 20:27:41
Does Na Vi still have sponsors? If they still have some it will be markeloff + 4 VP playing under NaVi tag or did I miss something?
2013-07-18 20:08:25
Markeloff left Na'Vi.
2013-07-18 20:14:41
On their website they say that they are going to look for a fifth player to replace markeloff, so I assume the vp guys + markeloff are going to play under a different name.
2013-07-18 20:15:41
This will be fun.
*grabs popcorn*
2013-07-18 20:09:39
santa barbara!
2013-07-18 20:10:38
This gonna be a good day :)
2013-07-18 20:10:41
so everyone is saying cs:go is dying but it seems like the players are defaulting on their contracts to go get a raise with a new team
2013-07-18 20:15:44
finally some1 who use hes brains.
Welcome on hltv.org rare person
2013-07-18 20:17:40
Everyone? I would say every 1.6 diehard.
2013-07-18 20:18:15
2013-07-18 20:19:43
Wait, so VP is mad because after they disbanded their CS GO team their contracted players still want to play?
2013-07-18 20:17:43
More like VP players have contracts valid till the end of the year, but they don't want to fullfil them.
2013-07-18 20:30:38
Yea but I thought VP were first to act by disbanding the CS GO team for the players not meeting expectations. Now they want them to fulfill the contract till the end of the year doing what?
2013-07-18 20:34:35
ye, seems strange to me as well
2013-07-18 20:45:24
In their web-site they've written that players did exit the org earlier and were blackmailing it.

2013-07-18 20:25:29
Guess today's day should be named as "Dissolving Day" in the history of CS:GO !!!
2013-07-18 20:26:41
Lets see what rosters will esc, navi and vp have after the dust settles :)
2013-07-18 20:27:00
Usually it's orgs treating players like shit. Nice turn around.
2013-07-18 20:27:37
2013-07-18 20:31:00
To be continued...
2013-07-18 20:32:37

The first announcement came from the VP organisation right? saying that they were dropping the CS:GO team. How is it not VP that broke the contract? I Don't understand this... after being dropped by VP how are the players not able to do whatever they want?

EDIT: As soon as you drop a team (ie stop funding them) Aren't you then breaking the contract?

Post edited 2013-07-18 20:36:51
2013-07-18 20:33:50
Exactly! Do what for the rest of the year?
2013-07-18 20:36:05
2013-07-18 20:35:58
Well I hope that the ex VP players won't just leave so easily without any consequences and will be punished properly. You can't just leave a team like VirtusPro when you extended your contract for another year
2013-07-18 20:36:26
Wasnt the first news about VP dropping the team? At least thats what i was thinking for like 2 hours now. VP dropped the team, and now acts all childish, thats how it looks to me.
2013-07-18 21:19:07
"The players haven't fulfilled their obligations to the team and that further sanctions will be applied to the players." Basically they didn't have any other choice but to drop them
2013-07-18 21:23:36
So, after all, VP dropped them and is now accusing the players of blackmailing them, or did I misread something?
2013-07-18 22:05:00
Well that's pretty much what VP stated. No one knows how it actually happened
2013-07-18 22:22:51
Is beating NiP worth this much? lol
2013-07-18 20:36:54
well, at least people can't say cs:go is dead...
