playArt have announced via Facebook that their 1.6 team have finally switched to CS:GO.

Almost six months after CS:GO's release, the Brazilian team have jumped on the bandwagon to try their luck in the new game, and they do so in style, with some of Brazil's most decorated players, including ESWC champions Bruno "bruno" Ono and Lincoln "fnx" Lau.

It is a move that many fans had been waiting for, but one that some feared would never happen. Even though Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo had been seen playing some CS:GO in pugs and Deathmatch, the former compLexity AWPer continued giving 1.6 players lessons through Games Academy.

The announcement comes just days before the start of the first big CS:GO league in the country, called Razer Challenge Brasil, with a total of eight teams in attendance.

"Our team want to dominate the CS:GO scene in Brazil, too," Lincoln "fnx" Lau told HLTV.org.

"We are adapting to the game, and everything indicates that playArt will send us to an international event this year.

"It is important to point out tht we will continue playing Counter-Strike: 1.6, we have other projects in Brazil which embrace the entire community, and we will not leave these people behind.

"During this year, a new 1.6 tournament will be announced for Brazilian people, which is meant for both the new players and the old ones who have already migrated to CS:GO."

playArt will have to work hard to catch up with the other Brazilian teams, however, as the likes of ProGaming.TD, paiN and Vince te Ipsum have been playing CS:GO for several months already.

The Brazilian team have the following players:

Bruno "bruno" Ono
Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo
Lincoln "fnx" Lau
Eduardo "shemp" Ferreira

Above 130 it's quite impossible to play with awp! with +- 110 is "acceptable", but still the ping is less affective in the gameplay then in 1.6

Finally, but fallen, fnx and bruno (ellll) has a school at the cs 1.6 (teaches newboys at the cs 1.6) and wins lots of money.
They probably will not have the required time to get the top.

They wanna learn the most and play the best they can in the game they love to play, what's wrong with that? You guys like to criticize everything, FalleN is doing a good job with the "brazilian 1.6 scene" providing tournaments and stuff for us but you guys just complain.

Do you really think the people playing those 1.6 tournaments wanna live of playing games? They do it 'cause they like to, otherwise they'd be playing GO for a long time already. It's not always about money, but about enjoyment.
