NiP, Anexis through to play-offs
Time: 2013-02-23 15:14
Game: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Groups A and B are finished as we see Ninjas in Pyjamas and Anexis going through to the play-offs. Nostalgie, TCM-Gaming, VeryGames and logiX will fight for survival in the second group stage.

A big question mark hanged over the heads of VeryGames who did not look to be in shape after a tie with ALTERNATE, and the match against Anexis only came to confirm such doubts.

Playing on de_dust2_se, Anexis were onto a good start as they won the pistol round and both anti-eco rounds afterwards. The match seemed as a direct way to hell for the French-Belgian team as the Danes started adding more and more rounds in their favor.

In the 9th round, VeryGames managed to add one round to the scoreboard, although it did little to the momentum of Anexis, who picked all of the remaining rounds on the Terrorist side.

After switching sides, Kevin "Ex6TenZ" Droolans and his team-mates found some energy to win the second pistol round with both anti-ecos. Both gunrounds afterwards fit the Danes well since they finished off the match with a very confident 16-4 score and secured a spot in the quarter-finals.

de_dust2_se is a map of surprise at the Mad Catz CS:GO Invitational. The French community took another hit after Nostalgie lost to TCM-Gaming 16-9, which sent Imaginary packing, being last in the three-way tie with a -2 round difference.

The last match of the first two groups saw two German teams battling it out for the spot in the second group stage. de_mirage_csgo seemed to fit logiX better than ALTERNATE, which gave the former the upper hand. That guaranteed logiX a spot in the second group stage to join Nostalgia, TCM-Gaming and VeryGames.

As much as people have been hating on VG this tournament, it's still not over and big congrats to Anexis for that major upset. Every tournament should have more upsets, it makes the game interesting :)

Nothing to do with nationality, it was an achievement yes but Alternate has been eliminated. Anexis has secured the playoffs with the win that's why I said "congrats".
2013-02-23 15:23:16

2013-02-23 16:24:42

2013-02-23 15:35:25
three way tie, only rounds between those 3 teams count, tcm has +3, nostalgia has -1 and img has -2, so img is out

2013-02-23 15:30:49
would be great even though i dont like attitude of some players (hi pimp :D)
2013-02-23 15:41:11
So much delays its ridiculous, time to punish teams and players who delay games.

No wonder why esports is not taken serious by "outsiders".
2013-02-23 15:43:48
It's always Na'Vi's fault. Toilet 30 minutes 5 minutes before each match
2013-02-23 15:47:44
Yeah, Na'Vi is a big delay factor but there's other teams as well.

But, punishments must be harder because players and teams do not take them serious... ask any professional player.

The delays are not caused by the players. A lot of the PCs crashed during matches which obviously took time to fix.

Really, sad for Imaginary Gaming ... Feeling bad for Shoxie but OzStriker is so bad. He is consistent bad performer. I didn't see any sign of improvement, even because of him only Imaginary exited from Group Stage. He should think about retiring.

Peace.
2013-02-23 15:56:50
If only he could understand. Sad for ImG.
2013-02-23 16:35:35
Nico is awping like a Dinosaur. Imo Anexis should kick Pimp and add an assaulter.
2013-02-23 16:34:01
Nice play by Anexis , dont expect that.
2013-02-23 16:46:00
I don't mind seeing upsets, well.. unless its VG.
Expected NiP 'topplers' , being 'toppled' like that.
Hoping Na'Vi to create an impact atm.
