Mad Catz GOTV back on

Game: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

After some deliberation, Heaven Media has opted to remove the password on all GOTV relays.

Earlier on Saturday, Heaven Media had decided to lock people out of their GOTV relays by setting up passwords after Starladder.tv had started streaming one of Natus Vincere's matches, this way violating the agreement that had been reached with the Mad Catz organisers.

However, it has now been announced that there will be GOTV broadcast for the remainder of the tournament, regardless of which companies decide to stream the matches.

A statement from Heaven Media can be found below:

"Our goal has been to offer the best viewing experience possible, and ensuring satisfactory conditions for all of our partners. The decision to password the GOTV servers was not made lightly, and was not ideal, however we felt it was the only reaction possible to a serious breach of agreement and lack of cooperation by one of our partners.

"Despite the ongoing possibility of streamers violating the agreements in place, we have agreed in collaboration with our partners to allow GOTV from now on, placing the needs of the community above their own.

"We have proudly worked with streamers in several languages for this event and are grateful for their support, and we do ask that all streamers continue to respect our requirements."

Great news. Smart decision.

STARLADDER.

I just repeat what have i said to HLTV.org & orgs.

I think, organizers should to unblock GOTV servers asap. If SL4M had agreement with them (i don't know anything about it), obviously he did wrong move and we are sorry about that. But there is no need to punish viewers.

Yes organizers surprised today! But then still have to check who is right who is wrong!
2013-02-23 21:42:02
Fair play, thank you very much, lets come back to Counter-Strike!

What? A lot of russians were spamming this forum with insults against faceit and heaven media lol...
Also, they atleast had the same spec numbers, SLTV brake the agreement and ofc it wasn't the right decision to restrict the GOTVs. Nothing to discuss there xD

GOGO face IT!

This is nonsense, sl4m is broadcasted their adverts and logos in his stream.
It's like a situation with copyright fags - 1000 pirated copies = 1000 unsold copies. But what if only a small number of these people would buy it?
Same as there. 8000 people on russian stream is NOT equal as 8000 people on official stream, because most of us likes to watch stream in our native language. Some of us don't know english at all. But who cares? Let's manipulate with stuff like "undrawn profit" in the best tradition of copyrast fags.

Heaven media should really form their own music or movie recording company, they will really fit in that dirty swamp.
