ESC down LDLC.com to meet NiP
Time: 2013-02-24 14:13
Game: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

After two close maps, ESC Gaming have sent LDLC.com packing in the quarter-finals to meet Ninjas in Pyjamas in the next round.

The game started off on de_mirage_csgo with ESC beginning as Counter-Terrorists.

The Poles lost the first pistol round as well as the first gunround, proceeding to lose one more round before they managed to catch up. It was thanks to the initiative of Jaroslaw "pasha" Jarząbkowski, who shot two Frenchmen right in the face and greatly helped the team to win their first round.

After the few next rounds went back and forth, ESC Gaming finally upped the pace to take a one-round lead switching to the Terrorist side.

The second side saw ESC take a big lead to which LDLC.com had no response. 15-8 was the score when the Frenchmen finally started racking up rounds, but all they did was slow ESC down as the Polish giants won the first map 16-13 thanks to a 1v3 situation going for Filip "Neo" Kubski.

LDLC's numerous comebacks weren't enough to take ESC down

Going to de_inferno_se, ESC Gaming again won the first side with a one-round difference after winning the pistol round. This time it was Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas who made sure to clinch the last round as Terrorists, winning a 1v3 while defending the bomb on the A bombsite.

After switching sides, the teams exchanged a few rounds between each other. The scoreboard was 11-11 when ESC seemed to break the stalemate after quickly winning three rounds in a row, not facing with any opposition from LDLC.com. At that point the game looked almost over, but the Frenchmen managed to overcome ESC in the coming rounds to take the game to an overtime.

The first overtime saw both teams tke 3-0 as CTs without too much problem, which forced the game into a second overtime. LDLC.com took only the first round to lose all of the remaining ones which resulted in a 2-0 victory for ESC, who will face Ninjas in Pyjamas in the semi-finals.
