We conclude our coverage of the Mad Catz CS:GO Invitational with a video interview with Ninjas in Pyjamas duo Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund and Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg.
The Swedish giants picked up where they had left off last year, winning their first LAN tournament of 2013 after comfortably defeating Anexis 2-0 in the grand final of the Austrian event.
Once again, NiP confirmed that they are one notch higher than the rest, winning all six matches without losing a single map to extend their unbeaten run on LAN even further.
+1 thats what money does to you, it change you. i mean look at him, he played a lot of years 1.6 and we can find a very few interviews and for a long time he said he wont do it cause he got shame, and after he joins GO... PUM!
f0rest sort of reminds me of elemeNt. He's just so clever and he feels many aspects of the game. That is why I also like cArn, mSx or kuben. Great interview. It's refreshing to see someone using their brain when answering instead of saying what they are expected to say.....like GTR does - "so to speak".
Feel like Navi is going to be the team to take away the map win streak from Nip at cph games on dust2. Cant really expect them to win the whole match(as in bo3) but they could definitely take a map.
nice interview and its kind of disheartening for them to hear that ppl r flaming instead of admiring their winning streak. As for me its quite interesting to see their winning streak but time will come when they ll lose their 1st map and game as well but they already made the history :)
f0rest seems like such a good guy. Great interview and congratulations once again!
I totally agree with f0rest that one does not simply replace RpK. He was a huge player for VG and although ScreaM has the best aim out there he isnt as complete as a player.
I've got my money on Navi to do the dirty work and beat NiP.
ffs how can people saying that they are destroying the scene? They can't just fall down and loose.. Appreciate that they are wining every single lan game! The one's who is destroying the game is the other teams who don't give enough of effort to the game.
Yeah I dont get why people are saying that NiP is killing the scene lol. It's more like they are motivating people to beat them and take the first win against them on LAN. Also CS:GO wouldnt be near the level of 'success' it has today if it werent for HeatoN resurrecting NiP with that mighty lineup
NaVi should be able to challenge them within a few months. Think Copenhagen will go something like NiP, Anexis, NaVi, ESC, VG though.
Cheers f0rest and especially GTR for putting up some good shows. GTR won that first map for NiP, and that's why they're so impossible to beat. When the other team finally does well enough GTR shots them down. "Like a young nastyman, coming in for ze quickie..!"
What were you expecting? GeT_RiGhT may have some less fortunate moments, but hes a nice guy who gets really missunderstood by at least 50% of the people in this forum.. About f0rest theres nothing to say, second most humble and nice guy behind TaZ.
forest is totally right with VERYGAMES, ScreaM and RPK.
RPK was most likely a guy who runs and make entry frags like no one else (the TANK was not for nothing).
ScreaM of course has maybe the best aim we have ever seen in cs:go at the moment, but his gameplay can't be compared with RPK one. He's not running everywhere, and not aggressive at all, don't remember well from his period when he was playing for ImG, but now in VG he's often he last man standing, because he plays very very safe.
VG has to change positions, new set of strats that match better their actual players, right guys at the rights places, ...
well, just my opinion, but clearly something is wrong with them atm (sad cause they have some of the most outstanding players u could ever have tbh).
It's kind of true though, NiP always winning makes CS:GO stream looks boring, in 1.6 it wasn't thanks to NaVi, ESC Gaming, Fnatic etc, i can't wait to see NaVi back to the competitive CS.
