TyLoo win ECL 2013 Season 1
Time: 2013-04-24 04:30
Game: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

TyLoo has won their debut tournament in CS:GO, ECL 2013 Season 1, by defeating Nface 3-1 in the grand final to win the 70,000 RMB (~$11,320) first place prize.

The Chinese giants have been dominant domestically for years now and most recently racked up a memorable amount of prize money in Counter-Strike: Online in late 2012.

TyLoo has now attended their first tournament in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive after two weeks of online qualifications to determine the four participants in the 100,000 RMB tournament.

Opening round in Beijing saw TyLoo knocked out New4 with a 3-1 score while Nface had no issues defeating H5.zzcy with a clear 3-0 score to knock them into the lower bracket.

New4 wound up taking down H5.zzcy 3-0 in the lower bracket final, while TyLoo bested Nface, the former best Counter-Strike: Source team in China, 3-2 in the upper bracket final.

The former CS:S champions sent New4 packing with a 3-1 win in the consolidation final, setting themselves up with another best-of-five grand final against TyLoo.

TyLoo would come out on top as they secured three wins on de_dust2_se, de_mirage_go and de_train_se with scores of 16-6, 16-4 and 16-6 after a 14-16 loss on de_inferno_se.

I saw this match and TyLoo look extremely good. They could become very dangerous and easily challenge the top5 in the world.

Gl to you TyLoo with what you decide to do now.

So all of them are from 1.6, right?
Was there any CSS scene in China?
2013-04-24 08:48:13
Yes,u r right.
most of the Nface team members are from source. But comparing to 1.6,source are not popular in China.

2013-04-24 13:07:32
the organisation usually only takes a small percentage of the winnings and they pay all travel and accommodation expenses (all good orgas do anyhow), so it really doesn't matter that much.
2013-04-24 13:36:59
they need to organize some bigf tourney for all temas
2013-04-29 09:29:55
Great news :)
2013-04-24 13:01:52
seeing tyloo at one or some of the biggest events later in the year doesn't seem that unbelievable in my opinion. would be very cool to watch asians at dreamhack winter or something.

Bo5's, dayumn!

Grats to TyLoo. Good to see them already doing well in GO.
2013-04-24 13:34:41
Tyloo had no advantage in the grand final over the guys coming from loser bracket, and had to win 3 maps yet again? unfair, but hell, not like any chinese teams are close enough to win a bo3 on them
2013-04-24 13:35:47
They did have advantage, Nface needed to win 6 maps while Tyloo only needed to win 3.So the grand final could be all day long.lol
2013-04-25 08:15:17
Oooh nface needed to win 2 bo5s, didn't know that thanks :p
2013-04-25 13:50:40
Easy Money ...
2013-04-24 14:26:03
For first csgo tour they did good. But they've missed zillions of shots and they had lots of spraying problems. Right now they are far behind the euro and the american level. But they are chinese and they will put the hours needed to reach the level they want.
2013-04-24 15:29:32
expected. gj Tyloo and gl in future.
2013-04-24 16:04:50
For those who watched the games, any thoughts on Tyloo's potential on the world scene ? How close are they to NiP, VP, VG, Quantic etc...
2013-04-24 17:21:16
It's hard to say, because they have turned to Go for just 1 month. They still have a long way to go.And some of them are not young.
2013-04-25 08:20:50
hope for some CSGO tourney in Asia

Really looking forward to the moment when Chinese get fully invested in CS:GO and start going to the big events.

We'll definitely do more coverage for the next LAN, this one had very bad timing since it collided with ESEA and it was in the opposite timezone :/
2013-04-24 20:18:02
They can damage in GO, so far seen some matches and for now they can beat easy teams from top 5-15 in EU. Hope they will show up in this year in any european tournament.
