Former Denial player ShahZaM will be filling out the lineup in Martin's stead.
With a long history at the ESEA Invite level of North American CS, ShahZaM will presumably be drawn upon for his AWP skills, which were on full display at ESEA S17 LAN last weekend.
Regarding the lineup change, team manager Tres "stunna" Saranthus had this to say:
"We have assembled a lineup capable of giving it’s all in the spirit of competition. It is my job to build the team and the players themselves, and in 2015 I plan to continue to do that starting with the reintroduction of Shahzeb 'ShahZam' Kahn," Saranthus said.
With these changes, Cloud9's lineup currently consists of:
Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert
Mike "shroud" Grzesiek
Kory "SEMPHIS" Friesen
Sean "[email protected]" Gares
Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan
With undoubtable changes still to come, stay tuned to HLTV.org for more information on the ongoing developments.
If they wanted to yes Hiko could replace Nitro, Swag and Hiko are both versatile.
Yah I agree, swag and hiko both r lurkers. But iBP plays a lot skill heavy game anyway. And hiko, swag and ska are top 3 players in NA. It would be fun to see them in the same team. :)
Hiko is so much better then Semphis its not even funny, but obviouslyh Hiko was not having a good feeling in this team as shown his departure after his recent shittyy form
I still think c9 needs to get rid of Semphis, but heck who do they replace him with...

area 51 w/ dazed winning esea and several good EU placements
coL taking 4th at a major w/ swag + some decent EU finishes
hiko was the best player on both of those lineups, and each one had current ibp players. better than you can say for nitr0
Post edited 2014-12-15 13:05:55
semphis: u wonder why ppl hate you
Remember anger did the same at an esea lan where he went nuts all games, but we never saw him at this level again.

Good enough to beat what was considered the 2nd best team in NA if not the first if people think that the roster changes in iBP was a reason to lower them in their own favour.
sad they had to copy nip's move

If you care about it
Post edited 2014-12-15 05:57:31
Hiko was one of the more consistent players of Cloud9..
They could have replaced Semphis instead with a better player then Shahzam..
why not semp
why not sgares
why u do this stunna
inb4 c9 releases csgo team

this is a downgrade, not to mention semphis will have to play with someone he hates
Best of luck for ShZ.
i really dont see this team going anywhere... if anything hiko will probably get picked up by ibp to replace nitr0
Post edited 2014-12-15 07:16:01
thats all im gonna say...
Especially when Seangares sucks so damn hard...
This is like if NiP replaced friberg instead of fifflaren
Post edited 2014-12-15 08:56:36
problem with c9 is in too many old faces and no one really makes progress
hiko is really good player almost always performing at top lvl so i belive it won't take long before some good na team picks him up
And I srsly doubt that this change will stop Semphis from being overly aggressive, so their main problems remain the same.
And considering how dramatic the NA scene is with shit like this: http://i.imgur.com/4GmqCiQ.png
I don't think this will last xD

New team could top NA with;
Post edited 2014-12-15 10:19:32
as for Hiko he is a great player nothing against him but he wasnt Performing well at all every since ESL so i understand the Reason behind him getting let go!
Cant wait to see Cloud9 in action with Shazam :) Goodluck guys!
(or both of them) , Hiko is good
rip c9, not a fan anymore.
he was their main player with n0thing.
he could perform when it mattered they just didnt have luck and he played not so great lately but again on long term i doubt this is good change anyway.

Currently every team can win c9..Sean's tactics are not godlike as he believes to be.
Also, it's about time we see some energy out of this team as well. They all look tired and bored when playing. They need to hype each other up (every single round, in every single game) and find the passion again.
Post edited 2014-12-15 13:21:01
I don't like Sgares or Semphis, imo they should leave.
i would like to see a team consisting of
n0thing, shahzam, sgares, shroud and 1 heavy rifler (i would pick desi)

SEMPHIS IS SO BAD
SEANGARES IS EVEN WORST.
WHAT TO DO? KICK HIKO gege NA scene 0% brain
With that said, has anyone come out and said why there is an "NA Shuffle" in the first place? Aside from trying to improve the NA CSGO quality and scene, is this the best method? Hiko wouldn't have been my choice but I'm sure c9 has their reasons, as does Hiko.
Gg wp, we'll see how it goes.
