Team Liquid are poised to sign Enemy star Kenneth "koosta" Suen, acccording to a report from Breitbart's Richard Lewis.
Liquid made headlines at the start of the year when they signed Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev, one of the hottest prospects in Europe, with hopes of establishing themselves as a serious contender for the biggest titles after some mixed results in 2015.
But not even the addition of the 18-year-old Ukrainian has been enough to turn Liquid's fortune around, with the American team having recently failed to secure a spot at IEM Katowice after losing to Tempo Storm in the quarter-finals of the North American qualifier.
And Liquid are believed to be on the brink of fine-tuning their squad once again by picking up Enemy's Kenneth "koosta" Suen, one of the top prospects in the North American scene. The 19-year-old will reportedly fill in for Eric "adreN" Hoag, who has been the subject of much criticism after several lacklustre performances.
Suen, who burst onto the scene in Tempo Gaming just seven months ago, wowed the community when he helped Enemy to win the Americas Minor Championship with an event-leading rating of 1.67. He produced a stellar display in the grand final, when he posted a 2.03 rating and a +37 K/D difference.
I can confirm officially that once our contracts expire, @NME_koosta will be playing with a different team. I won't say which out of respect— Ryu (@NME_Ryu) February 16, 2016
According to MLG Executive Vice President Adam Apicella, Liquid will not be able to field Suen at the offline qualifier for the upcoming major as the 19-year-old can only play for Enemy, the team he qualified with, at the event. With the same rule also applying to the major, Suen can only play in the $250,000 competition if Enemy qualify.
Despite the setback, Liquid were fully aware of the rule, insists the organisation's director of esports, Robin Nymann.
PSA: The only way a player qualifying from a Minor or the LCQ can participate in the major is with the team they qualified with.— Adam Apicella (@MrAdamAp) February 16, 2016
We have been in talks with @MrAdamAp the whole time regarding his recent tweet. There's no surprises here for us.— Robin Nymann (@robinnymann) February 16, 2016
With Suen's addition, Team Liquid will have the following starting lineup:

okay yeah, totally not bait gr8 information ty so much
ya totally right, I forgot this was HLTV and not reddit :DDDD
don't get me wrong. i'd much rather see great tacticians recruited to top teams. it only makes the game more interesting. but so long as that isn't the case, watching disorganized play is at least tolerable if it's with sick aim.
Liquid should get Skadoodle.
Post edited 2016-02-16 21:21:31
liquid needs a goot riffle!!
koosta aim is like me on faceit SA or GamesAcademy League, my question is how NME become pro in NA?
i'm too old to play cs hight now, i can be pro in NA too....
i respect the liquid's choice but koosta? =/
koosta is a beast, s1mple is a beast, nitro and elige can be beasts. Hiko needs to stop baiting tho ayyyy
Just move adren to the coach role and its fine.
He knows a lot about cs, he just can't replicate his knowledge while playing. He would be a perfect coach

PS Elige is so annoying to watch. Just look at how he plays the game. He constantly needlessly dies.
Post edited 2016-02-16 21:23:41
optic -daps +adren.
confirmed on hiko stream, he says adrens spot is save after he reads out the chat.
There was already enough skill on this team to be best in NA, maybe they can bruteforce their way to wins, but team play will lack for sure.

Liquid on the other hand changed 4 players in less than 1 year, and made 180 degree reversal in play style since s1mple joined.
I mean they have a high skill threshold that wont allow them to bully people in NA and don't fail completely vs EU, but it doesn't look like this team is tier1 material
Post edited 2016-02-16 21:43:32
But liquid where trying to do it for a long time with little success, and i don't think changing worse player for a skilled rookie will fix core leadership issues in this team, there is no solid foundation here.
They look pretty much a north american version of Faze

Stewie2k is brainless, do u see Koosta Pugging the fuck out of everygame like Stewie? NOPE
Post edited 2016-02-16 21:33:23
BTW. Easily the most skilled NA lineup. NA still alive?
Post edited 2016-02-16 21:38:26
INCOMING TWEETS BASHING THE H8ERS ALL ENDING WITH ":>"
they already have enough firepower. Comm and strats would improve a lot without s1mple.
the only chance for liquid to compete with tier1 EU is to get 5 sick fraggers and 1 ok igl/coach behind them
I would like to see that tbh
It could work
Edit- This includes outside the major so any team that qualified can not have him help at all even at their home.

valve at it's finest people... un fucking believable.
*someone (koosta) impresses in lower-tier minor*
*isn't allowed to play in main qualifier on a bigger team he deserves to be on after talent is showcased*
Valve-logic at its best, people.

NA is getting stronger bois
Post edited 2016-02-16 23:05:12
hiko is overrated
Post edited 2016-02-16 23:13:48
who's next? i think elige
anyway they cant reach world class level with s1mple ;}
team need chemistry
Post edited 2016-02-17 00:52:43
did the same with the current coL lineup, he kicked 2-3 players when they were a decent team with huge potential.
Wanted to do the same with C9..
Going to be interesting nonetheless he is a top3 awper in NA after Ska/JDM, the only difference is he can use multiple guns.
Adding koosta is okay but they need new IGL. Hiko can try I guess because adreN is useless.
Grats for lq
