Effective immediately, Astralis and dignitas have traded players René "cajunb" Borg and Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye.
The move comes in light of recent struggles from Astralis, who have been unable to pass the group stage at two consecutive big events, namely ESL Pro League Season 3 Finals and Dreamhack Masters Malmö.
With cajunb in the lineup, the Danish side gathered multiple victories in 2015, such as FACEIT Stage 1 and 2 Finals, several silver medals, and semi-final finishes at numerous majors.
dignitas, on the other hand, have let go of one of their best-performing players as of late. Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye helped them reach semi-finals at DreamHack Leipzig, second place at Game Show GEC, as well as first place at DreamHack EU Minor last weekend, which secured dignitas a place in the ESL One Cologne Main Qualifier.
However, due to rules which state that players participating in the Minor cannot play for any other team at the Main Qualifier and the Major itself, Astralis will be searching for a stand-in for ESL One Cologne.
"It feels amazing joining Astralis. I’m very excited but even more confident that it is a good fit for both the team and me, and I feel ready for the challenge." the new addition said in a statement in the official announcement.
"Joining Astralis is a dream for every Danish cs player, as it’s not only the best team in Denmark, but a brand competing for big international titles, which perfectly suits my mindset and goals for the long term future.
The move leaves Astralis with the following roster:
Meanwhile, dignitas have the following five:

if Dig v ASt at major he can throw to make more money for the Org that he owns?
Post edited 2016-05-19 16:48:41
Snart spille cs med os igen? eller var chris for dårlig? :D
you think the org gets the money and not the players? meh.
They will play for their old teams unless the rule is changed.
"To accommodate a wider range of teams, players are now allowed to participate if they played in the most recent Major, provided their team does not consist of three or more players who played together in that event (such teams would already be directly invited to the qualifier or Major)."
you think everything is about frag???
ahaha and dignitas will have cajunb ?
dignitas top 1 in denmark now.

good teams have very good support player that with good gamesense and good aim. they can rifle just as good as any other rifler.
I suggest you go back to playing mg1 mm. You know jack shit about cs.
Xyp9x roles aren't about getting a lot of frags, but about enabling other star players to get a lot of frags, mostly dupreeh in his entrying. If dupreeh is getting a load of kills, it will be partly because of xyp9x doing his job well.
And, not being an entry, has to have good clutch power, which Xyp9x undoubtedly has. One of the best clutchers out there.
even tho he might be just or even more as inconsistant as cajunb when it comes to LAN playoffs in my opinion. cajunb can really come trough when it matters, maybe the stats dont show it and he might disappear from time to time, but who doesnt really in astralis? dupreeh can have a monster game map 1 and got 5 kills map 5. thats basically astralis.
i still find that cajunb got the mental strenght to come trough when it matters for astralis and was vital for their success.
why not k0nfig????
now astralis has 2 baiters

but tbh, it was either karrigan or cajunb who had to go. I'm not surprised.
For most of their time together their two entry fraggers has been dupreeh and device. When they changed up the roles and device became a full time awper, and karrigan once again a rifler, they were missing a secondary rifle entry. Entry rifling is not really cajuns style, eventhough i agree he's a stable player. He didn't really have a set role in the team with their current approach.
Kjaerby is an amazing rifler and have been carrying dignitas lately. His form the last couple of months is amazing.
on the other hand cajuns playstyle will fit well with dignitas.
Just my two cents.
Also - who cares.... my point was they didn't ask him.
And astralis wont pay 150k for aizy.
so you were wrong and i right.
2. NiP & NaVi have their coaches calling which is still an IGL.
3. Flusha is the IGL in Fnatic
I cant wait for kjarbye to start choking
and he'll probably not be as good anymore cause hes not gonna be the star player
Updated after I posted reply :(

if b8 u got me
he was the most funniest person in astralis
Recently CajunB has been playing a: "show off aim by three bullet-ing multiple people, or die making a stupid decision" type of Counter-Strike. KJB can be molded more to fit Karrigans system.
also they played together for a long time, I don't see this change as an improve

"Support" role in CSGO is the biggest bait EVER, it's not like he needs to spend all his money buying wards, upgrading the courier and building support items HAHA.
A support player always carries the bomb and holds flanks at T side. He always is the last one alive and clutching as he doesn't get any action until the bomb is planted (that is his job).
Also on CT side he's the anchor on bombsite on all maps and his job is to survive and delay the T push until the guys who are rotating arrive. If he can kill 1 man until dying, his job is done.

Support players really makes the difference.
Kjaerbye qualified with Dignitas for the main qualifier for the major.
idk this shit confuses me tho
and astralis change cajunb for kjaerbye
for me xyp9x is worse astralis player and they must change him ...
Don't see this helping AST much even though kajerbye is nuts
So dignitas will become better team

Choking is a problem
What do they do with the org? Did the others have to buy Cajuns shares in Astralis or what?
Post edited 2016-05-19 17:10:51
The more device only delivers great performances when his team loses or the more the team fucking try to cater for devices every frag, so much so they can't fucking play there own game, the more Astralis will suck :)
They need a new IGL.
Kjaerbye is aimbot user. Vac will detect it sooner or later. gl
Post edited 2016-05-19 17:27:16
btw karrigan couldve been replaced with kjaerbye/magiskboy and botB with k0nfig
maybe theyd win a semifinal with that lineup:]

BUUUUT GL HF IN DIGNITAS!
Karrigan can't awp for shit and now this Chokestralis side can't use double awp setups on crucial maps.
You will not stop choking Astralis, nope.
I might hate FalleN and all the favelas but he's the best NA awper since Skadoodle's silence.
what a bad move for astralis rofl
he probably just needs to step away from device
The entry fragger should be consistent no matter what happens. Dupreeh was not consistent.
I wanted to see
Dupreeh as igl
Xyp9x as defender
Cajunb as an awper
Device as rifler/secondary awper
And yes karrigan should've stepped down and replaced replaced by konfig as rifler.
Btw, cajunb was sick, he can AWP, unlike Kjaerbye, so it's a pretty weird move from Astralis.
CajunB is one of the strongest on-site defenders in the world.
But the meta is moving towards extending away from the site and initiating for information and rotating/over rotating and playing retake.
Good move, now show the world what you're made of ffs.

is it jokE? please say yes!!!!!!!
Good luck to both, hopefully we can get astralis back on top!
he cant even spray wtf.... i dont even..
Nicolai "device" Reedtz
Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen
Finn "karrigan" Andersen
Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye
René "cajunb" Borg
Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth (COACH)
cajunb is a great player, and its not his fault that this team will always be chokers, the main problem here is device really...
