Wat when
2017-01-11 15:21:09
they have still nsub, tomsku and arvid xxxxxxxd
2017-01-11 15:34:14
who ?
2017-01-11 21:51:01
Their cs team, but ence is now looking to games like hearthstone, sc2 and overwatch
2017-01-11 15:36:45
ez money? they lost to Kinguin recently dude, still got tons of work, they look much worse than fnatic does after the shuffles
2017-01-11 14:37:15
2017-01-11 14:40:34
yeah my bad, was thinking about Pride
2017-01-11 20:38:00
If you do some research u will see that if any team goes to top4 this event they will win 60.000$ atleast, and if you think godsent can't reach this place considering other teams playing on this event then i don't even want to discuss with you anymore
2017-01-11 14:44:04
relatively easy money. They could've well made it to top 3
2017-01-11 14:44:14
maybe they dont trust the event organizer will pay out the money
2017-01-11 14:59:02
godsent are better in lan, and this is lan.
2017-01-11 14:45:29
xD if they even pay out the money.
2017-01-11 14:58:16
godsent is wayyy better on LAN. they suck online idk why
2017-01-11 23:57:56
It's not all about money tho. Since they're staying home I really hope it's because of the major. :)
2017-01-11 15:02:50
Definitely, cuz major is in 2 weeks.
2017-01-11 15:24:39
+1 I hope that too. I want them to be a serious contender at the major. Who cares about wesg.
2017-01-11 15:33:53
Roster change incoming
2017-01-11 15:49:30
They most likely want to focus on the major although, it's less money on the line. It has much more prestege, and their lastest results haven't been impressive
2017-01-11 15:57:46
2017-01-11 14:14:24

2017-01-11 14:14:34
But still more prizepool than a Major...who wouldnt go to that tournament ffs

2017-01-11 14:32:45
Prestige also plays a role
2017-01-11 14:36:29
This is their 3rd dodged LAN already and they lost against PRIDE recently with a shit ass performance. This team is a total disaster
2017-01-11 14:38:35
you know some of those pricy events have sometimes trouble to pay the winners, it happened a lot in the past

maybe godsent and other teams smelled that
2017-01-11 15:19:16
Well if they smelled that I can smell they will disband soon
2017-01-11 15:20:48
Nice nose.

2017-01-11 15:40:19
2017-01-11 17:00:19
yeah but money means more :) and they already tasted how it's like to be on top
2017-01-12 15:43:42
Money obviously doesn't mean more as there are only 2 teams attening that tournament who is also attending the major.
2017-01-12 20:43:54
Your logic doesn't work. The bigger teams are getting enough money for it to not be worth travelling even more than they already do. GodSent is not really that great
2017-01-12 23:10:07
You just proved my point. Big teams don't care about money, they care about prestige, which is why no one cares about this tournament. So no, money does not mean more
2017-01-12 23:54:58
Money means more, but up to a certain point. When you're travelling a lot, you have to make priorities, otherwise you are gonna tire yourself out. The bigger players have been travelling week in and and out for years and are usually older. They have also already cemented their place in the scene and know they have a reliable income due to contracts and other income sources, so the tournament prizes aren't as important, but MONEY itself is always more important than some silly prestige. Only a 12-16 year old would think prestige meant more than money :/
2017-01-13 11:28:13
If money means more, teams could just bootcamp for the WESG as first place is a better price than the major and then don't care about the major. But no one is doing this as the prestige from winning the major is more important
2017-01-13 12:02:29
but major 500k views and this tournament max 50k
2017-01-11 14:37:13
i honestly think they dont want to completely fuck up their "normal life"-sleeping schedule with traveling to china which will them them lets say atleast 1 and a half day, then play potential 5(?) days, travel back 1 1/2 days, jetlagged as shit, bootcamp for ~4-5 days, then fly to atlanta 2-3 days beforehand or even earlier to play at the major, getting aboslutely rekt from jetlag?

JW and flusha*
2017-01-11 16:21:00
exactly, I'm glad fnatic split into current fnatic and botsent

olof and dennis are alright, plus still good at the game. dennis is the best pistol player in the world

jw, schneider, flusha and pronax are cancer and I'm glad their career is over

2017-01-11 14:54:57
They're playing really retarded tbh, its because they're clear cut favourites here. They can play ultra aggressive, cause they get away with it. Like don't get me wrong i think they can hold their own against tier 2 teams but they need to stop playing like they're fnatic, cause they ain't
2017-01-11 14:59:46
Yea but here They will slay ezpce, They learned their lesson now and are ready to rekt all these lesser teams and will have big chance to win it all IF vp choke lul, sorry wrote from Phone

2017-01-11 14:27:34
lan dodgers less than a day before the even starts ... Hopefully they'll be able to explain this. If not it deserves a ban
2017-01-11 14:29:13
2017-01-11 14:29:58
lan dodgers
2017-01-11 14:29:58
They should get a ban and a fine. 1 player dodge isn't so bad but a whole team with such short notice. Scummy
2017-01-11 14:30:42
Conflict already.
Godsent really bad play last match sooo ez decision.
2017-01-11 14:30:57
I hope they disband. Things will clearly not get better. But if they're sticking together they need to kick schneider pronto

with the major starting next week, i guess its logic to rest and practice... than traveling across the planet to play with tier10 teams like SpaceSoldiers and Epsilon.

2017-01-11 14:31:44
Yes sure and dodge a 1.5 million tournament, what a great idea right? And btw they have dodged like 2 other LANs previously to this one
2017-01-11 14:36:28
the money is huge, but players like flusha and JW want the fame rather than the money

nobody will remember who played or won WESG 2017

but ELEAGUE Major title will stay forever in your hall of fame
2017-01-11 15:03:30
Not like they are going to do something at the major...
2017-01-11 15:06:58
they are always good on LAN

and looking at the other teams.... they could have a chance:

navi = simple solo plays, guardian trash, flamie+seized+edward inconsistent as phuck

SK = no new cheats + fox is an awper and the primary awper is fallen, hes trash

VP = will get jetlag after the wesg event and will play like garbage

envy = inconsistent

G2 = never make out of groups (even if there are no groups :DDD

faze = same as g2... both inconsistent teams

only teams who are a good threat and really played well the past 3 months are optic, dignitas/north and fnatic

the other teams like mouz, liquid, gambit, f3, HR are just there for the sticker money.. no real threats :)

2017-01-11 15:14:10
I give them max 1 month to disband or maybe right after the Major. They dont fit as a team. I actually believe flusha is thinking of leaving already
2017-01-11 15:15:36
i`m hoping that flusha and lekro replace pyth and friberg in NIP

fingers crossed :)
2017-01-11 15:16:47
Well that's 99% impossible but i can see -doplan +flusha happening tho
2017-01-11 15:19:42
Why did you leave out Astralis?
2017-01-11 15:29:08
So astralis that was in the finals at last 2 lans is not worth mentioning? :p
2017-01-11 15:30:26
astralis chokerino

they could go either way :)
2017-01-11 15:42:41
Yeah evetytime they lose it's choke, but when other teams lost they got unlucky right? :)
2017-01-11 15:44:41
well i`m not a real fanboy of any team (i was for the old fnatic lineup)

and i do admit astralis played really good these past months

so they could have a chance at the major final.
2017-01-11 15:49:27
You not cheering for mouz or that Mikes? Forgot which team he is in.

Lets Hope, i do agree their major semis isnt too good ;)
2017-01-11 15:53:47
huh ?

i`m not from holland dude
2017-01-11 15:59:29
Oh my bad, not easy to see the difference on phone
2017-01-11 16:22:19
fanatic played well ??? Where ? DH Qualifier. And ex.dignitas did nothing since Epicenter.
2017-01-11 15:38:12
they recently rekted G2

dennis, twist and krimz showed really good form

dignitas played well at ECS, if not for the SK`s aimlock toggleing they could have won it

Well, how about using your brain beforehand and not mess up a tournament like that or preventing other teams the chance to go there? If there is no explanation/reasoning such as sickness, family issue or whatever they should get an immediate ban for at least 2 if not more years.

If esports and their "athletes" ever want to be seen just remotely professional there have to be strict rules.
2017-01-11 14:37:23
its 1.5 million fucking dollars, even VP are going for this
2017-01-11 14:38:28
VP are going to get 0-3 at major because attending this event

you can`t attend 2 events in 2 weeks by traveling 2-3 days + jetlag and still concentrate to perform at 100%
2017-01-11 15:01:53
Well VP already did that - they played the groupstage of ELEAGUE SEASON 1 and week later they played on the major ESL ONE COlOGNE, where they lost a very close game in semifinal to SK 2-1. Two weeks later they flew back to USA and they won the ELEAGUE SEASON 1.
2017-01-11 15:49:45
Even as bad as Homesent is, they could have realistically reach the 3rd place, which is $200,000.
In Major they will be at best 9th, which will give them $8,750.

This is such a weird decision, that something has be going on.
2017-01-11 14:41:44
"In Major they will be at best 9th, which will give them $8,750. "

come back again when they've won the major
2017-01-11 14:57:53
They knew about major, why not to make this decision earlier?
2017-01-11 15:00:41
cuz they lost to pride
they are tilted
2017-01-11 15:10:24
Fuck we cant make our HOMESENT jokes now because they dodged a 1.5 million LAN

They should have invited fnatic and not BOTSENT
2017-01-11 14:35:08
They are not invited. They qualified.Fnatic & NiP didn't attended qualifications
2017-01-11 15:04:50

better for you shitters, they are scared of getting destroyed by t4/5 shit teams
2017-01-11 14:38:43
LOL. There mush be something big going on in the team.
No other reason to be silent about it, and skip a tournament with a really good shot for a 3rd place, and $200,000.
2017-01-11 14:38:51
Again? LUL. What a bunch of assholes, the event starts in less than a day and now they come up and say they won't be going to China, fucking douchebags.
2017-01-11 14:41:34
So it gonna be ez 800k for vp
2017-01-11 14:42:32
2017-01-11 14:44:47
probably big conflict in team after match vs pride.
2017-01-11 14:46:09

jw just eating burgers in a competition.. better to keep in form!
2017-01-11 14:52:31
That's honestly a REALLY scummy move, no matter what has happened.
WESG finds out that GODSENT isn't travelling to an event they've organised for them, putting 1.5M up for grabs, because 'they didn't arrive'.

And then on top of that GODSENT doesn't even contact them to tell them why.

rofl respect gone

I actually agree... it's disrespectful towards the organizer. I understand if the reason is not team-related (e.g. Visa, someone getting sick, player's relative died or similar) but otherwise...bs.
2017-01-11 14:54:03
not only that the fact that they didnt let them know is what buggs me. If something happened like an accident then its a different state of opinnions but right now thats kinda lame...
2017-01-12 13:15:47
shit event and even shittier move by Godsent
2017-01-11 14:54:28
flusha didnt eat dogs
2017-01-11 14:55:06
No point of watching this event, now it is ez 4 VP. I would like to know reasoning why they skip. Even when they are not so good, they are still better than most of the teams a could easily win at least 200k
2017-01-11 14:55:43
new cheat version wasn't available for flusha
2017-01-11 14:57:19
such a pussies, they can't even comment their decision
2017-01-11 14:57:56
I bet it is something serious. Godsent would not be such idiots to waste a spot that could have gone to some other team otherwise.
2017-01-11 14:58:10
+1. point. its for sure something strange in team. (im actually happy about that, i was a fan of the old lineup, but not a fan of this team anymore after this shitty swedish shuffle)
2017-01-11 15:54:32
ez 4 SS top in the group
2017-01-11 14:58:29
2017-01-11 14:59:24
To bad, i was looking forward to this event because of teams like VP and Godsent, now we can watch VP getting back in form against shit teams. 800k for winner and two teams decline to participate. Something is wrong.
2017-01-11 15:01:58
2017-01-11 15:02:42
What a ride this tournament has had. Homesent did a dick move btw. Also now, Flusha should just move to fnatic in place of doplan. Let godsent die itself. JW not worth it anymore and Lekr0 loss from tier 2 would be mourned but we get twist dennis olof krimz flusha back in tier 1
2017-01-11 15:03:10
would have went out in groups anyway, LUL :)
2017-01-11 15:03:43
illuminatti confirmed
2017-01-11 15:05:01
Hope they get a 1 year ban by WESA (all WESA aproved lans) for this.

What has WESA do with this?

I will answer for you - nothing. This is not organized by them and GODSENT is not part of WESA. This is WESG! See that last letter, it is different

WESA formed to professionalise esport and named thenself to hold up certain standards.

Sure thing the tournament itself has nothing to do with WESA, but only a WESA punishment would stop lan dodging. WESA has a grip on arround 80% of this years CS Weekend Events (thanks to D.H. following WESA rulesets) and thus only a WESA punishment would hurt people who dodge lans like retards.

Whatever punishment WESG tries to do, it will have no effect, there is only one WESG lan a year. But if WESG contacts WESA and convinces them that lan dodging needs a serve punishment, maybe Godsent would get what they deserve.
2017-01-11 15:37:01
No, they dont have grip on 80% events. They have only ESL Pro League. Maybe other ESL events(There was an article saying WESA has licence only on Pro League). DH following WESA ruleset doesnt mean WESA can ban Godsent from DH events.
2017-01-11 15:52:47
haha what a stupid tournament xdddd
the biggest prizepool and only T3 teams cuz the organizers are cocklovers with their retarded 1-nationality rule
2017-01-11 15:06:39
"the organizers are cocklovers with their retarded 1-nationality rule"
Do you even read what you write?
2017-01-11 15:09:20
Ofc. The organizers are cocklovers since they banned multi-national teams thus there are no mouz, G2, OpTic, Na`Vi, FaZe, and North are forced to play with a stand-in.

2017-01-11 18:08:32
Ez 4 VP cause pasha and taz need to feed their babies

They will try harder for this championship than for the major.
2017-01-11 18:11:38
Add ldlc
2017-01-11 18:12:25
RIP expected
2017-01-11 18:31:33
Well the Chinese announcement clearly says Godsent wants to bootcamp before the major in US instead of attending WESG. Going to China means they will have to fly back to Sweden and then fly to America, which will leave them no time for bootcamp. But... they could've said more than 14 hours before.
2017-01-11 18:42:20
Very unprofessional and rude for Godsent to do this at last hours. They ruined a change for another replacement team. I hope WESG and all Chinese tournaments ban this team forever.

2017-01-11 18:47:32
2017-01-11 18:54:41

lol they kicked schneider already
2017-01-11 19:36:50
Why attend an event in China that will never pay out the prize money?
2017-01-11 19:38:11
Well considering this WESG event has been going on for years and I haven't seen one claim they don't pay out I would just have to imagine your comment is bullshit. I did some searches and it's funny there no claims that WESG doesn't pay out their prize money but even claims from players/teams saying the international 3 & 4 was never paid to some teams LOL. Maybe look at Valve before talking shit.
2017-01-11 20:47:21
2017-01-11 19:41:29
what a shame
2017-01-11 19:43:07

2017-01-11 19:57:20
no money for travels [*]

ayyy homestay.
2017-01-11 20:17:16
schneider grounded by his mommy again ?
2017-01-11 20:38:14
100 year ban plox
2017-01-11 20:39:10
If the reason is related to the event lacking Tier 1 teams, it would be funny. Prize pool $1,5m and the location being China, where it would be easy to get future sponsors for organizations. Even, if not a solid result from the tournament. So much money involved in China and perhaps to evolving eSports. Such a shame they did not agreed to travel.

But, if the prize pool goes like this:

1. $800,000
2. $400,000
3. $200,000
4. $60,000
5-8. $10,000

It's obviously a huge risk to end to 5-8. position. But then again you get to travel lol.. and play as a professional. Could be good individual investment.
2017-01-11 21:11:46
I just wanna THROW this one in: TyLoo LOL
2017-01-11 21:41:02
2017-01-11 22:08:03
SHITSENT - dismiss
2017-01-11 22:18:49
Although JW confirmed that they wanted to take this time to prepare for the major instead of competing at WESG (something I think they decided to do after they showed up very poorly at the DH Las Vegas qualifiers yesterday), the timing of this announcement is almost as unprofessional as Hades lan dodging.
2017-01-11 23:11:58
good move imo
