Misfits confirm peacemaker move
Time: 2017-04-19 01:40
Game: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Misfits have announced that Luis "peacemaker" Tadeu has been installed as coach of their Counter-Strike team on a permanent basis.

The Brazilian has taken up a permanent position in Misfits after spending the last month on trial, helping the team to qualify for DreamHack Tours.

Luis "peacemaker" Tadeu began his coaching career with Games Academy/Tempo Storm before joining Team Liquid, whom he would help to reach the 2016 ESL One Cologne final.

peacemaker officially joins Misfits

After a six-month spell with Liquid, peacemaker left the organisation and was recruited by NRG as a general manager and coach, only to be dismissed just weeks later over "different visions for the future". In February, he joined OpTic on a trial basis, but he could not secure a permanent position as the team failed to impress at DreamHack Las Vegas at the IEM World Championship.

The announcement comes just days after Misfits formally confirmed the signings of French duo David "devoduvek" Dobrosavljevic and François "AmaNEk" Delaunay as replacements for Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken and Skyler "Relyks" Weaver.

"People that know me as a coach know that my motto is having a hard work environment and something that really drives me its new challenges," Tadeu told Misfits' website.

"When I first joined Immortals, everybody doubted our potential, same happened with Team Liquid and might happen once again with Misfits, but as long as I have enough time and stability to work I know what I’m capable of doing.

"I am really pumped to start coaching once again. Ben Spoont (CEO) together with all the management and players did their very best to make it happen and I’m really thankful on having this opportunity.

"I am confident that right now we have all the pieces needed to become a top team and for the first time in my coaching career I will have an actual IGL to share ideas and build a system with."

peacemaker will soon join up with the rest of the squad at Misfit's gaming house. Before attending DreamHack Tours, which will run from May 6-8, the team will undergo a bootcamp to prepare for the $100,000 tournament.

Misfits' roster consists of:

Sean "[email protected]" Gares
Hunter "SicK" Mims
Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan
François "AmaNEk" Delaunay
David "devoduvek" Dobrosavljevic

Luis "peacemaker" Tadeu (coach)

Skyler "Relyks" Weaver (Backup)

this is looking like an international time, nice. Imagine if twist joined that team

you kidding right? Immortals won their first international tourney with him and Liquid made to their first major final ever with him.
2017-04-19 01:43:54
liquid made it to the finals because of simple
2017-04-19 01:50:54
if thats true then why did Na'vi go downhill after s1mple joined? sure they won one tourney but after that they went out in groups in some tourneys and were struggling to win games.

2017-04-19 01:53:35
why did liquid go downhill after simple left?

just because simples gone and joined another team and it hasn't worked out doesn't mean he wasn't the reason liquid reached the finals, just look at the performances he put in then compare liquid without him and his impact, no where close

no player is going to carry every single game or lan, in liquid he could do what he wants, in navi is very much regimented in what he has to do, fairly simple

dude s1mple had 1.11 rating at COLOGNE almost the same rating as Elige and Nitr0 and if you ask me Elige was playing way better than s1mple so it was a team effort and people like you talk like s1mple carried Liquid to the finals which isnt the case.
2017-04-19 02:04:09
gg end discussion
2017-04-19 09:49:41
you are dumb s1mple is the sort of player like dev1ce, a beast hybrid player who forces the other team play around him and fear him. it's not all about stats (even if it was s1mple's adr and rating was off the roof higher than anyone on the team), anyone watching cologne can see how many rounds s1mple opened up and how he can fucking hold sites by himself and make the other team scared to attack it like holding a on cobble all byhimself with awp which allowed liquid to cheat and stack towards b all the time. liquid also used the shit out of s1mple to open up rounds, when they were stuck and couldn't do anything they just threw s1mple towards a bomb site and see if he can open something up or get an entry. if he did, then the round was open for them.

elige gets frags but they were usually clean up kills and trade frags, he didn't really solo shut down shit or force his way into a bombsite like s1mple did (i remember in cologne s1mple had insane amount of entries to open up the round), honestly nitr0 and elige benefited alot from s1mple's presence, just him being on their team allowed them to play more aggressively and with confidence because they know they had s1mple right behind them. nitr0 especially was going off because he had a little duo with s1mple, look what happened to the guy after s1mple left. s1mple absolutely carried that team to the finals, look what happened when s1mple wasn't there putting up beast performances, liquid got stomped by sk.
2017-04-19 14:36:06
lmao dude you're full of shit

"anyone watching cologne can see how many rounds s1mple opened up"

"elige gets frags but they were usually clean up kills"

now do me a favor, go here http://www.hltv.org/?pageid=348&eventid=2062 go to total opening kills and tell me who was the second best that had the most opening kills in the event? that's right Elige, so i wonder how was it s1mple getting the opening kills if the stats say that it was Elige, i mean, s1mple isn't even between the top 5 that had the most opening kills while Elige is second and even the analysts at the time said that elige was a beast at getting the opening kills. you're just clueless yet you call me dumb LMAO

Well back then, coaches used to talk to the players in game which definitely had an impact. But simple had perfected his role in team liquid and was able to carry them every game consistently! The problem with navi is that they were strict ok roles since everyone had already established their roles a long time ago. Simple had a hard time adapting. If you look at his results, they look much better now with him and guardian becoming that dangerous duo! Remember as well that when simple was playing for Liquid, he was considered the best player in the world (after coldzera of course)
2017-04-19 02:08:24
navi went down hill after simple joined because they lost all their strats when zeus left
2017-04-19 05:36:20
It was because of s1mple not peacemaker
2017-04-19 07:56:46
so how is s1mple doin on Na'vi without good strats? and before you saying that s1mple was carrying Liquid at the major read what i wrote above, specially #103, it was a team effort, Elige was insane and Nitr0 was doin work too, as i said on #103 and as you can see here http://www.hltv.org/?pageid=348&eventid=2062 Elige was the one getting most opening kills.
2017-04-19 23:10:47
We are not talking about navi are u stupid? Different players different team liquid play around s1mple navi dont, get a brain
2017-04-19 23:21:39
no we are talking about Liquid at Cologne you seem to be the stupid one here, because you said that Liquid got to finals at the major because of s1mple, the way you talk is like s1mple was hard carrying the team, while in fact Elige had almost the same rating as S1mple and Elige was the one getting the most opening kills and usually opening kills are the most impactful ones since they give your team a huge advantage so don't fuckin talk like s1mple was doing everything by himself while its obvious that it was a team effort.
2017-04-19 23:24:40
Pretty sure they were getting coached by fallen aswell since he wanted another brazillian team to make it.
2017-04-19 03:14:50

I don't get it why doesn't peacemaker go to a brazillian team like Red Reserve or SK? I feel he would be more comfortable coaching in his native language.

+1, was thinking that when I read your comment.

sk could really use him as a coach. It would be a logical move for both parties.
