Sweden name ENC squad
Sweden have announced their call-up list for the LAN Finals of the European Nations Championship.
The LAN Finals of the ESL's nations tournament will be held at the gamescom trade fair in Cologne, Germany, from August 19-23.
Sweden, who enjoyed a perfect 5-0 record in the group stages, have just confirmed their roster for the tournament, which contains three players from fnatic and two from Lemondogs.
With no surprise, none of SK Gaming's players have been called up for the tournament after not featuring for Sweden in group play.
LAN Finals will take place from 19 to 23 of August at gamescom trade fair in Cologne, Germany, featuring ten national teams to compete for €15.000 in four disciplines.
Sweden will take on France in the semi-finals of the ENC tournament, with the winner meeting either Germany or Poland in the final.
Sweden will feature the following line-up:

threat has det second best aim in skandinavia. it has been proved in a tournament and he is insane when he is one, but i would like to have a guy like allen that has the experience and the skills to go all the way. but face and threat are good players. the swedish guy's now what they are doing;)

Man, Sweden is and always was one of the best countries in CS. So why should the managers, or the team, plan something stupid ? Albeit, some of the players are not so famous (e.g face) like the SK players, but if you look more careful on these players you will never, or very very rarely find a mistake in their gaming style. In difficult situations like e.g 1vs3 they are mostly successful.
I am sure this lineup is atm the best possible IN THE WORLD and I don't mean mixed lineups like "solo walle spawn etc.", I mean national team.
+to be honest, SK isn't as good as they were 1 or 2 years ago, they have the potential but atm they are not so strong.

What is it people don't understand? None of the SK players were selected to the ENC-line from the beginning and after the groupstage they can not just bring in SK-player to the finals.

f0rest and SK doesnt have the passion or time anymore for counter-strike as Lemondogs and the rest of the fnatic lineup. You have to realise that. Plus cArn gives an opportunity for new talents to grow and such. I mean why play with SK players when they dont wanna play the qualify on internet? The players who were playing on the internet should be the ones playing this.

cArn said too that they would try to stick to the announced five man line-up, that is 3 fnatic 2 SK - the same line-up than in 2008.
Therefore, the changes apparently were decided later on and not prior to "mix preferences" which would have lead to the announcement of a different line-up, f.e. the one that has been playing regularly during the on-line qualifier ;)

If you look apart from that he's the "captain" then he's pretty much useless. And by now they should know how to play, so I can't really see how much tactic there would be needed to play in a "top team" like that.

You are wrong, cArn is an amazing in-game leader cuz he knows his stuff.
Its not all about just running and shooting them, even if these guys are that good. But also interpret the opponents game. Knowing what spawnpoints they have, knowing what tacts they play in order to make it easier on his team, switching things up if not going as planned.
There is more to the title captain then you seem to think. Theres a reason why he is the swedish team captain.
