Millenium have issued a statement to condemn Steeve "Ozstrik3r" Flavigni's removal from the team.

Flavigni confirmed on Tuesday he had departed Millenium following his team-mates' wish to have a more skilled player replace him.

After a year-and-a-half with Millenium, the terms of Flavigni's departure came as a blow to the organisation's chiefs, who have now condemned the remaining players for making this decision themselves.

"In recent months, Ozstrik3r had even regularly spoken about his retirement, his skill being inferior to his team-mates', but specially about his limited availability because of real-life issues," read a Millenium statement.

"Our goal is to always make our teams as powerful as possible and we also believed that the team needed a change to make it successful internationally. Therefore, we already have some ideas on the profile of a possible replacement.

"However, we never imagined to kick Ozstrik3r so that he could be replaced by a top player. His experience, his lead and his competitive spirit are better (in our opinion) than his ingame level, which was sometimes lower than his mates'. But they [his mates] were more "intolerant" and wished to stop playing with him, feeling this change as indispensable to reach a high level in the international scene.

"We understand the heart of the problem, but we condemn the form which for us was disrespectful for the work made by Ozstrik3r. We were, therefore, in a situation we did not wish. On the one hand, we had a charismatic leader who had given a lot for the structure and, on the other hand, we had players who had shown their quality and who wished to work hard to make this a great team.

"We are already working to put an end to this situation the best possible way, and give Millenium a Counter-Strike team who can take our colors as high as possible."

Millenium currently have the following quartet:

Christophe "SIXER" Xia
Engin "MAJ3R" Kupeli
Guillaume "Geno" Ntep
Mahé "Yoshi" Martin

All this to say that -Oz = Great team, I wonder what the excuse will be if they still play bad without him
2009-12-23 17:57:22
just future will tell us how it will be after Oz leaves, GL to him, ty another time for what you've done for the team
2009-12-23 18:03:31
hope he will find 4 new unknown players and bring them to the top
2009-12-23 18:04:49
Would be incredible SIXER, MAJ3R, Geno, mSx and R!Go :D
2009-12-23 18:05:38
It would be better if heatoN, Potti, spawN , elemeNt were together
2009-12-23 18:17:49
But this is not possible, only SpawN is still playing ;D
2009-12-23 19:10:12
Of course it's possible, they might come back.
2009-12-23 19:14:32
if you think that's possible, you're to dumb to be swedish. :)
2009-12-23 20:01:46
You must be the one who're stupid, tell me how it is not possible? And tell me when Sweden decided to make some limit how smart you had to be to be Swedish? And how did I miss it?
2009-12-23 22:30:42
It will take a huge amount of money to bring Potti back for once. Not likely, huh? HeatoN and elemeNt, are not likely too, BUT possible if you want.
Your'e right, there's no rule on measuring swedes inteliggence, but most of the natives you meet doesn't come of stupid.
2009-12-27 19:22:34
I know it isn't likely, but it sure is possible. Oh, I meet more stupid people than not stupid people here. :P
2009-12-28 00:47:50
Okey, It's possible but it won't happen... Better now? ;)
2009-12-23 20:06:56
Yeah. ;)
2009-12-23 22:29:57

2009-12-23 18:06:25

2009-12-23 18:11:00
Yup
2009-12-23 18:21:26
yes
2009-12-23 18:21:51
Oh, not often you see that age in competitive CS. I guess that might be why his skill level wasn't good enough, you of course lose some reflexes. :P
2009-12-23 19:15:05
actually before he was -M-'s leader, he was only player and was good, but it seems that with his private life & job he didn't find enough time to pratice
2009-12-23 19:32:42
As I said, the older you get the worse reactions you get. Of course his private life might be another reason, but you don't become faster with the age.
2009-12-23 22:31:32
yeh that's true, but he was not 90!
2009-12-23 22:47:44
What are you saying? xD That he wasn't bad 1990? xD
2009-12-23 22:50:54
oups i meant "he's not 90" ^^'
2009-12-23 23:14:20
No, but still your reaction ability gets worse, that's a fact. :P
2009-12-24 11:52:16
no wonder he wanted to quit then .

most retire when they reach like 23 tops and go i have had great 5 years blablabla.
2009-12-23 18:42:50
Good decision, nice words.
2009-12-23 19:02:59

gl oz in the future
2009-12-23 19:15:21
What is there to do, if they had kept him they'd have had 4 players who weren't satisfied, and then you can't perform 100%. They had no choice really.
2009-12-23 19:16:30
yes but Geno is not a good guy oz helped him years before and now he wanna him out.
2009-12-23 19:18:23
I agree it's not good to do it that way, but still it's better for the team than just being quiet and being bad. I agree that they could've done it in another way, but it had to be done.
