Small tourney for last EU finals spot

Event: Extreme Masters IV European Championship
Electronic Sports League has announced that a small tournament will take place before the European Championship Finals, to determine the last spot up for grabs.

Where did the spot come from? Spirit of Amiga announced the disbandment of the organization in mid-December, which left the players on their own feet. First it was reported that p00nhandlers would be attending the European Championship Finals. It has now been announced, that p00nhandlers will not be going and the spot instead will be thrown into a small tournament, for the teams who got eliminated in the relegation stage.

Power Gaming has already stated that they will not take part in the tournament, making it a maximum of five teams who can attend. It is however likely that it will be only four teams, as HellRaisers no longer exist.

This would put World Cyber Games 2009 champions from AGAiN (Guns Are Drawn?) in a very pleasant situation, as the team missed the European Championship Finals, when losing to oXmoze in the relegation match. Teams in the run to get the hands on this very last spot for the European Championship Finals are:

Frag eXecutors

Even Frag eXecutors could be questionable to attend, should the rumors about Jarosław "pasha" Jarząbkowski joining up with AGAiN turn out true.

The tournament will most likely be staged this weekend, as the tournament needs to find its winner, prior to the European Championship Finals next weekend in Cologne. Stay tuned for more updates regarding this small tournament.

PG won't be so naive to step out of the tournament which can further take them to IEM World Championship tournament, that would be like missing two major events in the first quarter of the year. They are also on a good wave after a 2nd place at WEM.

At least MYM got rly bad results. I admire their skills, because they've shown that they can get crazy frags, but actually they've got some problems. I cheer for g5 of course, but no doubt, if they will play with pasha it won't be the same. I wish they've reached the top again in this year and won IEM, ESWC and WCG for the last time.
