KerchNET have introduced their 2010 roster, mainly consisting of new faces on scene.

The Ukrainian based organization announced the disbandment of the Counter-Strike 1.6 in mid-December. The team had before this, managed to qualify top of their Extreme Masters group, securing a spot to the European Championship Finals.

The new KerchNET team has today been revealed, with just one familiar face. Former HellRaisers captain Ivan "Johnta" Shevcov will be leading the new team, joined by four young talents.

KerchNET now consist of following:

Ivan "Johnta" Shevcov
Roman "z1" Poltavchenko
Dima "barracuda" Prohner
Stepan "cucumber" Pershko
Stepan "cArsky" Petrenko

The team is currently on a trial basis, replacements may be introduced at a later stage, depending on how the team progress. Should replacements be needed, then they are likely to come from WES Cyber School, who are to foster and cater young Ukrainian talents.

"After HR collapsed, I got an offer from KerchNET to create a new team. It should be 4 young players, me as a coach and team captain. There are a lot of good young players in Ukraine; I think we chose the best ones. We are going to move these guys to the next level. They got great desire to play hard and go pro." - Ivan "Johnta" Shevcov told HLTV.org

KerchNET will furthermore be represented at the European Championship Finals. With the disbandment of the former team, the spot to Cologne was handed to Sergey "starix" Ischuk. Ischuk is now with a new team, but the team will represent KerchNET at the European Championship Finals.

Shevcov to lead the new KerchNET.

Representing KerchNET at the European Championship Finals are:

Sergey "starix" Ischuk
Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko
Arsenij "Esenin" Trynozhenko
Ioan "Edward" Sukharev
Yegor "markeloff" Markelov

It will however only be for the weekend the team will carry the KerchNET tag. Once the tournament is over, the team will be on own feet again. It is reported that the team will be tagged as Arbalet, in the Ukrainian qualification for Arbalet Cup Kazakhstan, taking place 23th of January in Dnepropetrovsk.

After HR collapsed, I got an offer from KerchNET to create a new team. It should be 4 young players, me as a coach and team captain. 2010-01-07 19:54:20
schoolbys :D
15,16 years old
2010-01-07 19:54:31
who? :s
2010-01-07 20:10:32
barracuda 15,cArsky 16, z1 16.
2010-01-07 21:03:49
they may be good aimers but i bet with that age they lack of experience.
2010-01-07 21:12:30
Yes, but now they get this opportunity to really learn a lot and be taken to the next level. Though they are young they can be as good as some of the real big stars if they have the qualities and the desire, as it sounds like. And why should KerchNET and johnta make an extremely young team if they were sure they couldnt do anything? But yes, maybe they have a little lack of experiences and some other things, but those things will soon come.
2010-01-07 23:11:00
getright was playing in nip with 14 i guess so.. its nice that they give this new guys a shot... gl guys

Good thing they have thought about the EMIV lan finals ;)
2010-01-07 20:04:45
If KerchNET would've had the opportunity to decide which team to send to the finals, they probably would've sent their own team, it's just that the ticket belongs to the team leader, which, at the time of their qualification, was starix.

2010-01-07 20:53:16
How can you NOT like him. :O
2010-01-08 00:36:57
i hate the way he leaded HR, his mates had the greatest potential in ukrain, but they looked like a mix compared with kN (on the other hand, i wasn't really a great fan of kN's players, but i loved their style & tactics)
still a good player though, individually
