Team Alternate have confirmed the signing of Bastian "b4d" Gaffron from n!faculty.

The German giants had been linked with roster changes since the EPS season came to an end, with reports in Germany indicating veteran Jan "mooN" Stolle to be close to retirement.

Bastian "b4d" Gaffron, who had been with n!faculty since October 2007, has now been confirmed as Alternate's new fifth player, replacing Benjamin "paN" von Mulert, who is expected to move in the opposite direction after being confirmed as a stand-in for the Extreme Masters European Finals.


b4d: New Alternate man

This is the second roster changes Alternate undergo ahead of the new season, following the addition of Direnc "seraph" Öz, who will replace Roman "roman" Ausserdorfer.

Jan "mooN" Stolle
 Roman "Roman R." Reinhardt
Direnc "seraph" Öz
Bastian "b4d" Gaffron

No, it seems that you are. Within reason:
"Germany and Austria officially do not allow dual citizenship, but Germans and Austrians can apply for a permit to keep their citizenship ("Beibehaltungsgenehmigung") before taking a second one (Arnold Schwarzenegger holds Austrian and US citizenship)."

I don't know if that's a smart decision to kick paN from the lineup, he's much more experianced than seraph.
Having two players that don't have any international experiance like the others have will damage them.
mouz tried it with cash and failed, now they are with roman and they will become sick.


Anyway, good luck! b4d is great, I'm gonna miss paN.

Gux and GeT_RiGhT are much more experianced internationally than seraph and b4d ( they played with Blank Giants etc. )

i find ur opinion shit. seraph is the replacement of roman so what are u talking about. and what happend to cash is a other story, he was very good international and that he is removed has nothing to do whit his gameplay. be better informed next comment

Germany does not allow dual citizenships, and since he played for mouz during WCG he must be German, therefore the Turkish flag definitely should not be there. ;)

seraph is a good pickup right now. We'll see how good of a pickup he was when it comes to how he preforms on LAN. paN was a really good player but he never played as good on LAN as he did online. Not saying he cheats, its just that he doesn't preform well on LAN.

I really hope mooN doesn't retire he's one of my fav. players and is probably the smartest ingame leader to ever play this game.

b4d, seraph & approx are solid. they really need to replace Roman with a young skilled player who's hungry to not just win, but to play.

b4d is one of the best players in Germany for all those doubting him, he was the best the player on n!faculty which is THe best german team besides mouz and attax, he is also way better than paN, good move by Alternate.

Now all Alternate needs to do is pick up ODIE from n! to replace Roman R.
