Chinese teams miss EM Asia Finals

The Electronic Sports League has announced the participating teams at the Extreme Masters Asia Continental Finals.

The biggest surprise in the team roster comes in the form of Chinese teams missing out on the competition, which will take place in Taipei from February 5-9.

Last year, China produced the winning team in the Asian Continental Finals, as wNv.cn came from the Lower Bracket to defeat WeMade FOX on two maps and claim the top prize of $25,000.

HLTV.org understands that Chinese teams will not attend the tournament due to visa problems, as it takes some time for Chinese residents to get permission to enter into Taiwan.

The participants' list for the Asian Continental Finals, which will hand out two slots for the World Championship Finals, contains just five teams, each one from a different country.

Last year's runners-up, WeMade FOX, will be in attendance, just like Immunity, who have announced a new line-up, and three regulars in Asian competitions - Titans, Duskbin and UMX.

Sad for TyLoo (I mean a team with alex and co.). They would probably be top2 in EM Asian Finals and go to Global Finals. Really want to see them there :(

Very sad news. Too bad the Chinese relations between mainland China and Taiwan has to be so harsh, if they were different it would probably be easier for the Chinese teams to go there.

titans usually put up decent numbers (often double figures) against the top 10 teams in the world so it'll be interesting to see which team gets the second spot between them and iM
