Gux replace kHRYSTAL in SK

It is now official, Frej "kHRYSTAL" Sjöström is history in SK Gaming and will be replaced by former fnatic-member Rasmus "Gux" Ståhl.
Yesterday it was reported that Frej "kHRYSTAL" Sjöström had been removed from the current lineup, with reports of him being kicked and not leaving on his own. SK Gaming did not report anything about the situation, while yesterday it was discovered that Rasmus "Gux" Ståhl had started to practice with SK Gaming.
Ståhl to become a king in SK?
This evening it has been confirmed by the SK organization, Sjöström is no longer with the team and the former fnatic member will now step in to fill his shoes.
SK Gaming now consist of:
Dennis "walle" Wallenberg
Ståhl has been a tough enemy for SK Gaming for the past year, but will now bond with the team, to try dethroning the current Swedish giants, named fnatic. SK Gaming will have their debut with Ståhl at Extreme Masters IV World Championship Finals in March.

If you say that picking up better players to play better or achieve better results ruining teams then every team in football, baseball, basketball, american football, etc, are ruining their league's teams.
A team is only as strong as its weakest link, if they exchange it for a stronger one, it will improve (if they achieve chemistry ofc) and I don't mean to say that kHRYSTAL was the worst player. SK picked up a better player so they can achieve more, so I think they did the right thing.
However if you ask me if it was the right call on behalf of GuX...well...I really liked the potential h2k could have and I would like to see them with that lineup but oh well...GuX choose this so he believed it was the best move for him also :)

SK does kill teams, they always have. They killed the up and coming h2k the first time by taking khrystal and face. They don't build teams they pick apart others with players that are playing well at the moment. That is how they have done it since the potti heaton fisker ahl element lineup dispersed.

Two weeks after face and kHYRSTAL left H2k, SK destroyed Fnatic. I wouldn't really call that "wrecking a team" so much as building one. Besides, the new H2k line-up had a pretty shabby debut.

he is a really different kind of player than guys like f0rest, gtr, cyx, roman, etc... but his consistancy and versatility clearly make him huge.

Many voted for GTR last year, but if you look at that from a little further distance, you'll see that Gux has done much more with his opening frags as a Terrorist and won a lot of clutch rounds.

yeah, i would have to agree, for me gux was the key player for fnatic in 2009, i think ppl underestimate him coz gtr and f0rest had really great year with all those aces and great skill they have shown, but in those matches where it was one or two rounds which would decide, gux was the one with those so important opening frags, especially on maps such as nuke where is so hard to get that first frag coz map is so small

Bad move by himself GuX, he shouldnt join SK, i cant get why players like face,khrystal,get_right and now gux are joining into team like EsKa, SK are only destroying good teams, and making very bad moves... totaly nosense moves i dont know why BUDAK is their coach when he cant motivate his own players in way like other coaches does, obviously i dont think that they will achive more then they achieved in last period cuz one man cant play whole time... the lineup is getting rustier and rustier, SK should kick their CS Squad(maybe they should keep 1,2 players in it) and left some space to younger talents which are hungry & much much motivated for playing than this players which are playing approximately 7,8 years, sweden is proved, and proving that there are so many talented players and SK dont know how to use that :) I would like to see khr & modi to H2k, that will be killer lineup for them.

shame about khrystal i really liked him and he was a good player, although gux is one of the best players in the world so i guess its a good replacement, i would have much prefered seeing him replace face though

khrystal good player, gux one of the best in the world, but that all doesnt really matter, coz what matters is who would be better for the team, and sk thinks thats gux. they needed an opening fragger and thats exactly what they got. time will show how will gux fit in into the team.
sk now has a very balanced team and they should try not to make any changes in 2010. im expecting them to be on the same level with fnatic in 6 months, if everything works out with gux.

Gux is a crazy madfrager, yes... but I don't see how SK are winning on this deal. Of course you get one of the most decisive players around with an unbelieveble aim and adrenaline control, but you loose your best player in the last tournaments. I don't think it was a + decision. And, BTW, you will have to face kHRYSTAL playing in another top team (probably H2K); and this is a problem (remember IOL#1?). Anyway, now it's just a matter of time to see kHRYSTAL join H2K. But the interest rests in seeing who will replace Gux. Moddii is the obvious solution... but I have seen cRYSTAL players on IOL, and Huggan and hyvlarn were just impressive!!!
