The EPS season 16 has witnessed its first victim as hoorai announce the disbandment of the gaming organisation.
The German-based organisation's main sponsor, Xilence Technology, has teamed up with Competo Sports, with most of the hoorai management team making the switch as well.
hoorai, founded in July 2006, rose to fame just days after its inception when they picked up the Finnish Serious Gaming roster, which contained the likes of Tomi "lurppis" Kovanen and Juuso "contE" Sajakoski and placed third at WCG 2006.
Their collaboration with Kovanen's team, though, was anything but peaceful, with the players involved in a dispute with hoorai regarding the organisation's take of the WCG prize.
After losing the Finnish roster to 69ºN-28ºE in early 2007, hoorai decided to focus on the German market, but they always found success hard to come by.
hoorai's former team is currently at the foot of the EPS table with two defeats from two matches, with their future reportedly linked with Competo.
Meanwhile, the team has added some experience to its ranks after bringing in Hannes "Hanso" Dunkel and Thomas "uLTi" Teissl, with Engin "e pato" Demir and Milad 'Milad' Zamiri currently inactive.
The former hoorai team currently stands as:
Sinan "bAuZkA" Cavus
Michael "sephra" Zimmer
Burak "coLLy" Dogramaci
Hannes "Hanso" Dunkel
Thomas "uLTi" Teissl
