Event: ESL Pro Series 3 UK

The first ESL Pro Series for Counter-Strike 1.6 in the UK will kick off tonight with three matches on the menu.

A field of twelve teams made it to the start of ESL Pro Series UK season 3, which will kick off tonight with some of the best teams in the pit. The main favorites to reach the final stages of the season are dignitas, imperial, Reason and there are most likely a team or two to turn some heads during the season.

The twelve teams participating ESL Pro Series UK are:

dignitas Reason KD-Gaming imperial
vitalsigns TLR Free Agents paramount
Virtuoso eMpathy strOng cLip

You will be able to follow the matches from the season right here on HLTV.org, starting with three season-openers tonight.

All the decent players that weren't 13 year old chav tards went to other games/consoles and continued with success.

Needless to say, UK 1.6 is a bit of a joke. Just reading some of the forum posts from them complaining about how other teams cheat, bad connections and raging in clanbase games is so stupid. Quake, COD, CSS etc teams are all doing well for UK with the same resources, so can't even use shitty connections as an excuse


Luckily, there's still a fair few decent players going round with a mental age that's progressed past puberty... Just very hard to find them. With any luck UK cs will thrive a bit soon... It's due it anyway :P

tl;dr? - all our good players don't really care anymore :D

The difference is that 1.6 is much more affected by the connection/fps than those other games..

Can see what you're saying since recoil is fucked on higher ping servers, but framerate is a given unless they're on a computer from the 90s. The UK Quake guys are doing alright and Quake is dependent on fps for movement and ping for hit detection (if you got a ping higher then 30ms, you're fucked in an LG-LG battle with a guy that has lower)

But yeah, things are turning around hopefully. Just a shame lots of UK servers seem to be going down just now :(

Actually not a bad lineup, just hope their aren't many defaults!

Saying that, I haven't played 1.6 in a year or so, but teams like paramount, clip, vital, and strOng were all pretty terrible, but they're also online too, so let's hope there isn't a LAN final.
