ESWC confirms 28 qualifiers

The Electronic Sports World Cup has announced it has already secured national qualifiers in 28 different countries.

According to the ESWC's official newsletter, it has already found what it calls National Strategic Partners (NSP) to organise qualifiers in 28 countries.

From the ESWC's country list, there are still 14 nations listed for which the French-based organisation has found no NSP of yet, with Sweden, Germany and Spain among those names.

Below you can find the 28 countries the ESWC has already found an NSP for, though in most cases dates and location are still unknown:

Companies willing to become NSPs can express their interest by sending an email to the ESWC.

The 2010 ESWC World Finals will take place from June 30 through to July 4 at Disneyland Park in Paris, with $73,500 to be handed out in the male Counter-Strike tournament alone.

Meanwhile, the ESWC has announced it has tied up sponsorship deals with betting company Betclic, French cinema company Allocine and PriceMinister, a famous commerce website.

sYnck placed second on shqopen in 06 losing to fnatic in the final. we were 5-8 on cpl twice aswell if i remember correctly, oh and if im not mistaken thats better than the portugal cs achivements, no offense or anything..

whell the baltics have more country's on the list.
We only habe one good team, 5 or 6 Medium teams, for our level.

And we did good in some events, Gungame spain, the Dreamhack so we don't play that bad to.

GunGame in Spain was full of "B" teams - only two (mouz & Neo a spol.) top teams were present (and placed first and second). So I'd rather not present this achievement...

i dont understand what the point is of arranging quals in poor countries such as ghana and nigeria. i mean, how many esport-teams do even exist in those countries? barely any and those who exist should be reaaaaaaaaaaaaaally far from the top level. but yeah, fun experience for the small esport-nations i guess.

ESWC should focus in main countries like EEUU, England, Spain , Germany , France, Sweden, etc... instead of wasting time making qualifiers in countries where competition dont exist.

If we work together, we can send emails to find national organizers in all countries, ESWC should do this too, or they will dead like the old ESWC (remember ESWC San Jose) or last WCG (samsung dont help anymore to the countries). The help to the national qualifiers is the most important thing in this events.
