H2k see off PZ to book ESWC spot

H2k Gaming have assured themselves of a place in the ESWC Finals with a 2-1 win over Playzone.

The former Begrip Gaming squad had looked a bit rusty on day one, finishing second to Limbokungen in the group stage, but they made sure to pick themselves up for the last day of the competition.

After fending off the threat of Meet Your Makers in the semi-final stage, H2k Gaming required three more maps to beat Playzone. The first map, de_train, went H2k's way, as they picked up a narrow 16-14 victory. Playzone then managed to pull off an impressive display on de_nuke, winning it 16-2, but H2k showed a strong figure on de_dust2 to win the last map 16-9.

The bronze went to Meet Your Makers, who attended the qualifier with their new line-up featuring Frey "kHRYSTAL" Sjöström, after defeating Limbokungen 2-0.

Swedish Championship 2010 Final Standings:

1. H2k Gaming - €1,850 + ESWC spot
2. Playzone - €825
3. Meet Your Makers - €410
4. Limbokungen

H2k Gaming have now become the third Swedish side confirmed at ESWC 2010, following in the footsteps of fnatic and SK Gaming, both of whom have been invited for the tournament.

MYM is not worth to participate. They did not proven themselves in any way that they could fight with the best teams!

let's just enjoy great teams like EG, FX, SK, H2k, Fnatic, Na'Vi and other teams.
